ninjamon102938 222 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 Okay, this is very weird. One day, my friend came over to do so things over at my place. She told me that the previous night she had a dream about a beautiful genie(who was female) loving her and doing romantic thingsnwith her that she enjoyed. She wrote the whole thing in her dream journal and I read it saying it was just a dream. The night that followed, I had the exact same dream, only instead of my friend it was me in the dream. I really don't know what this means and was wondering if any of you guys knew about this kinda stuff. special thanks to Lunia for this AWESOME signature MY OC: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/valiant-gamer-r5975
Stormbringer 346 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 I'm no palm reader, but it just sounds to me like you were thinking about the dream and it made its way into your mind and duplicated the dream for your own use. Maybe ask a Tarot reader or something. There's death from the beginning, to the end of time. And I'm the Cosmic Champion, and I hold a mystic sign. Treble Bolt 1,122 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 (edited) Talk about a Freudian slip! Well, jokes aside. For a semi-decent interpretation on really any dream, no one can really help you in what that all means because dreams 'can be' the manifestation of something in your real life, and if that's the case, we really need to know you and your friend. Hopes, dreams, fears, relationships, hobbies, jobs, etc. etc. etc.... That aspect has to be ruled out first if you want to conclude the dream as just a random case of your subconscious going strange, which happens often enough with everyone (dreams that have no reason)..... Tarot can't help much because it doesn't deal with dream interpretation (as far as I know, based on what little I know about pagan-esc things related to the spiritual connecting to the physical), but personally, I can't see cards getting you very far with understanding of anything....since you will get different answers upon repeating said tarot reading. I'd say talk to someone that knows you very well, see what they make of it....otherwise, don't think too much into it, since dreams just happen and there's not too much we can do to consciously control them. However, if it becomes an overtly repeating dream or you begin having dreams with similar themes but different setting/situations/objects/etc, then you should see a professional therapist because then something very odd/wrong/abnormal could be happening and recurring dreams 'can be' a way for your subconscious to manifest a problem into your consciousness. But who am I kidding, I'm no Fruedian or Jung(ian?), I'm just looking at the potential problem in a practical manner. No need to worry about little things unless they become a bigger thing. Scootalove 10,689 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 Hmm, I'll see if I can answer this. I think you wanted to duplicate the dream for your own use, so you can see how the dream would turn out. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Fluttershyfan94 5,742 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 (edited) Think it's because you must have been subconsciously thinking about the dream. The dream doesn't sound too bad either, so it's understandable that you may just have been thinking about it and then had the same dream. If that's not the case then there might be one answer. Serbon div 386 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 (edited) Dreams are meant to be forgotten. Pretty simple if you ask me. Edited January 20, 2014 by Vojvoda Flutterserb
SanityNotIncluded 335 January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 (edited) Bear in mind that most of what is known about dreams is a matter of theory, however as far as I'm aware dreams are generally regarded as either a consequence of REM sleep, or as a way for your brain to consolidate the information it's taken in during the day. So, yeah, nothing to worry about. Unless you subscribe to Sigmund Freud of course, who would probably tell you that you have some sort of repressed sexual desire. But saying that, nearly everything was a matter of repressed sexual desire to Freud - including dreaming about trains entering tunnels... and the stereotype that women prefer to ride horses. Acchan 232 January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 I'd just forget it. It was probably just a coincidence after all.
