Firelight had been watching with interest as renegade applied his strange yet effective training methods. Ambiance seemed to be picking it up fast. He gasped as Renegade fell over bleeding. He rushed over and crouched next to his ally. It wasn't life threatening, but it still needed to be stopped. Sky was still aleep by the fire and didn't seem to be disturbed by the commotion.

"I will break his week impudent knife in two!" A ring of fire grew around Clarent and grew with Clarents anger

The ring grew smaller "I'm not sure of Firelight and Sky, I will deal with them when the time comes, for now we will put my plan into action"

Flame sighed. "Alright...hold on" He picked up another device and listened in. "If I am correct Equinox is going after the generals since he does not know that Blaze is dead" He said as he kept changing the frequency of the device.

 

 

"I'll cut you up until you only have your body left until you tell me where Blaze is" Sol/Equinox/Shade said.

Shadow heard Ambiance call for him and turned and saw Renegade bleeding badly. Rushing over Shadow quickly ripped off the bandages. He saw that the wound wasn't healing like it was supposed to, that meant something had to be done and now. "Hold him down Firelight. I'm sorry Renegade but this is going to hurt like hell." Shadow focused his magic and in an instant started searing the wound shut. It was the best that he could do right now, he only hoped that once they got to the castle his contact could do some work to help them...especially Renegade. Unfortunately their bad luck didn't stop there, the dragon that had been watching them had been waiting for this moment and hit the barrier. Shadow's mind was hit hard causing him to falter and almost passing out, but he held his ground. "Firelight be ready I can't hold this thing out for long."

Firelight started holding Renegade down. He got distracted as the great dragon rammed the barrier. His attention was called back as Shadow called his name. Sky woke with a start as the vibrations ripped through the camp. She gasped and said "What is that?!" She was staring at the monster on the other side of the barrier. Firelight looked down at the injured pony. His wound was almost shut now. He feared he would have to use his powers if the barrier broke. But most of all he feared it wouldn't be enough.

Shadow focused and finished sealing the wound, it was then that the dragon hit the barrier again. This time though the hit struck something within Shadow, not only staggering Shadow but causing him to cough up blood. Shadow suddenly had a hard time catching his breath. Shadow looked at the dragon and saw it open it's mouth, black smoke coming out but it was the look in it's eyes the pure intent to devour them. "Firelight with me we need to buy the girls time...Sky, Ambiance get Renegade out of here. Continue heading through the wasteland towards that mountain there!" Shadow pointed to the east.

Both Sky and Firelight nodded and Sky grabbed Renegade and started helping him away from the dragon. Firelight turned and glared at the dragon. His eyes started to glow a faint red and the air around his body began to shimmer with heat. He was ready, no matter what happened he would protect Sky Flower.

" I smell burning embers, *sniff* a dragon lurks around here, it is not close but I can sense its fiery essence, it could be Renegade, screw the plan! If there's a chance he is here then I want to find him right now and put an end to his miserable life!"

Clarent stepped over the countless dead Peacekeepers and pointed North, "will you aid in Renegades demise Flame?"

He summoned a blade of fire. "I will" He smiled as he felt the dragons presence. "Of course if Renegade is there then there must be others no one would be crazy to be here alone unless they can fly...even then it's dangerous to be alone in this 'Lovely' town" He said

"Then we move now, we can't lose track of the dragons essence" Clarent started running north, the path Clarent was taking was a dark one but one Clarent wanted to achieve for his master, once this was done he would join his master in death finally being able to say I stood with my master till the end

Renegade yelled in the searing pain,but held through,he slowly got up and looked at his wound,it hurt like nothing else,but it was closed,he looked at the dragon and snarled,his eyes changed red and the pupils became black slits,he slowly walked up to the dragon and waited for it to blow its flame.

Flame flew ahead and saw Renegade and smiled. "Well you must be Renegade the one who killed Blaze...you know Equinox isn't going to be happy that you denied his chance for vengeance" Flame said as he flew in front of the dragon. "I must say though, being able to kill Blaze when he was thousands time stronger is quite a feat" He said

Shadow slowly stood up his legs were shaking a bit, with it so cloudy the dragon's body was concealed. For some reason it wasn't attacking, that was until the moons light hit it revealing it's red and black scales, it was at least the size of a small house. It let out a blood curdling roar, smashing through the barrier. Shadow went flying back sliding on the ground before slamming into a rock, coughing up more blood he looked and saw the dragon finally. Shadows eyes widened when he saw the dragon in the moonlight. "Firelight don't use magic!! That's a Varum Dragon they're completely impervious to magic and *cough* can reflect it back to the caster wounding them from the inside!" The dragon exhaled a blast of flame at the group going for the girls, Shadow was weak getting to his hooves the attack that broke his barrier had done some damage.

Clarent sliced the dragons head off "Though I hate to kill such a magnificent creature , being able to burn you alive myself will me much more pleasing, everyone step aside and don't try intervening your friends fate was sealed when he massacred my master, I will cut your throat and tear your organs to pieces from within you!"

Firelight smlied grimly. "Good thing I'm not magic then." he said. He watched as the flame burst flew right towards the two mares. Exerting a little energy he used his power to deflect it sending it straight into the air. Then he stared in shock as a new warrior showed up and sliced off the greats beasts head.

Flame summoned a second blade. "Anyone wants to try intervening will get burned" Flame said. "I may stay on the sidelines but I can fight and take on any of you" He said as he Looked at Firelight, Sky, Shadow, and the others. He sat down. "Though I would like to know...What are we fighting for exactly?" He asked

Shadow used his magic to call his blades back to him. "Firelight, fall back we can't do anything about this creature right now! And as far as this pony goes leave him to fight it alone!" Shadow just finished his statement when the dragon's head floated up and re-attached to his head and healed perfectly. The dragon roared again and took a swing at the new pony that joined the fray.

The dragons tails were cut into pieces, Clarent turned into a miniature tornado and flee died fly into the dragons mouths, cuts could be seen forming from the inside, the dragon collapsed and Clarent came out holding the dragons heart, "such a shame this could have been avoided" Clarent raised his hand and shards of steel flew off crating a circle around them "No one leaving here without my permission"

 

 

 

 

"Stand aside whelps, and you will not be harmed, you don't look fit for combat, such a shame, but think of it as putting a wounded animal out of its misery, I would advise you to not try and touch me, I'm made out of shards ill split you right open" Clarents intentions were true it was simply defending its masters honor "Without further ado shall we get started?"

Flame stopped the dragon. "Listen you need to shut the hell up" He said glaring at the dragon. "Since you can't die" He pulled out some odd machine and it activated capturing the dragon" You just stay in there...try and break it and I'll be have fried dragon"  Flame said as he looked at shadow. "You however are annoying...tell me have you seen...what was his name...Shade was it...have you seen him around" He asked

Firelight was starting to get angry now. Why was this all happening? He just wanted peace for the land. Like it use to be. He gritted his teeth and growled, trying to get a hold of his emotions. He couldn't afford to lose control until the mares were out of the way. He turned to Sky and said "Run!" She saw the faint glow in his eyes steadily growing and her face paled. She nodded and grabbed Ambiance. She took off into the sky, flying away as fast as she could. Firelight turned back to face the newcomers, his whole body shaking.

"Somepony looks angry" He said as he smiled. "Come now you know who Shade is do you? The one that saved you from the arena with help from Shadow" Flame said. "Have you seen him lately" Flame asked as he looked at Firelight and Shadow. "You see he's working for people want to bring peace to this world by getting rid of the Peacekeepers and trying to change the world back to how it was some how, and that brings me a problem I want them dead and so far...I am having no luck"

Shadow just chuckled and started to walk into the battle. "Sorry I don't know anyone named Shade...I only know Firelight and the group that I''m with that you wont leave alone." Shadow looked over to the new pony and smiled. "I don't know who you are but there's a reason nopony survives when they meet one of these dragons. And you'll soon see why." The dragons heart vanished as his body started to reform, it stood there snarling ready to strike anypony down. "You see these things can't die...there's no known way for them to even be killed. They were created by Discord's magic and the taint of the land nopony knows how to kill one."

"What you don't know about a dragon, or anything for that matter is that there's always a way to get rid of them" With a snap of Clarents shard fingers a portal appeared and sucked the dragon into it "Straight down to the pits of Tartarus, now stop interrupting me!"

Flame smirked. "Thats right...don't get in his way" Flame said as he made a barrier appear around Renegade and Calrent. "Stay out of the fight...touch the barrier form outside then you will be fried, isn't technology wonderful, I think it is but most find it horrible..."
