planning Questions on RP contents

Now I just was wondering, seeing how everyone uses their OC in a roleplay, lets just say I was looking for others to do a private RP as the Mane 6, is this type of thing allowed? As an example, I'd be RP'ing as Applejack, and some other as Rarity or Twilight. I'm just curious as to if this was allowed or not. If it is, then great. Anyone wanna help me with answers? You could do that. Equestria Empire is canon characters, but you must audition. You do a regular roleplay though and you can.
