How do you think the CMC getting their cutie marks will be handled?

I mean every time they announce a CMC episode I wonder, "Is this the time when the CMC will get their marks?"  But I was thinking about it a bit and it seems more likely to me that they would try to capitalize on the episode.

 

Do you think it will just happen and in some episode one or all of the CMC will be getting their marks, or do you think it will be some big event where they give away that it is going to happen beforehand and spend a week hyping it like they did for Princess Twilight Sparkle?

 

Of course it is also possible that they simply will not address the issue during the run of the show.

I think the CMC will get their cutie marks one at a time to take us by surprise, since the writers are known for taking us by surprise with suspense and disbelief where we think the CMC will get their cutie marks at the same time but unfortunately they get them one at a time. It might not make any sense, however that's how I see it.

I believe they will get them all at the same time, because of the split in the CMC's.

 

Personally I would love to see them get their marks individually, because of this very problem 

When only 1 got her mark, she will feel like she don't fit in with the CMC's. Might make for an interesting episode mixing happiness for one self, with understanding of how others feel about it.

Then 2 got their mark, and the last one will feel really left out, making for another interesting episode. Hopefully it will be scootaloo who is last, giving her a lot of problems at once. She doesn't have a cutie mark, she can't fly and she is the complete opposite of her role model RD. Mental break down episode? 

A cruel fate, but I believe this will be good for Scootaloo. Of the three, she is the furthest away from self realization.

Honestly, I don't think the CMC are going to get their cutie marks in the forseeable future.  The CMC are designed to be a clever analogy for actual little girls (Hey, it's the target demographic!) that don't know what they want to do with their life quite yet.  As long as they can get episodes out of that analogy, the CMC will remain blank flanks.

 

When will they no longer be able to play off of that concept?  I dunno; I'm not a writer for the show.

I think it will be a huge deal when they do. They have a hard time being quite about things wether it is a huge deal on hub world like the royal wedding or a wink by some one on twitter.

I agree with Scootalove on this one. The climax for the CMC episodes could very well be the biggest plot point in the shows history. It may show an imbalance of how close each one of them is to achieving their goals.

 

I'd want to see Sweetie Belle gain hers first. She is the closest, in my opinion. Her natural vocal talent could serve her very well in an episode where, yet again, they sing about working towards their marks, but this time, she gets a solo, and during that solo, suddenly cliff drop and she gets it. I'm sure things could go one of two ways here. Either:

 

A. Sweetie Belle and the other two part ways until AB and Scoots get their cutie marks

 

B. SB works together with the other two to help them until they both get theirs.

 

Option B is much more likely, as the show is, no matter how many bronies there are, oriented to a generation that still has many things to learn about friendship. I could also see a mini-series go inside the plot, where in the background of episodes you see the CMC doing numerous activities, and occasionally checking for a cutie mark. Every once in a while it's good to check back, though, and so I'd say every five episodes could be a CMC episode.

 

Although our anticipation is great, it's still fun to watch the writers play out the antics of the three fillies, and I honestly enjoy them not obtaining them more than I would if they did. It adds a lot to the series.

 

As a final note, I've seen a lot of fics where the CMC become an official Equestria-wide group devoted to helping all young ponies find their special talent. That would be an incredible finale for when all members of the base CMC find out their special talents, and in truth, their special talent is to help other ponies find their special talent. It would make a massive plot point and allow the writers to keep expanding on the escapades of the three.

they've not set it up.  There's no for shadowing.  And i doubt it'll be like alicorn twilight.  
unless  one of them gets it and keeps coming along on cutie mark crusades cause she forgot she got it.

 

I mean they've been doing it so long, I could totally see them not being able to stop.  It's a compulsion.

 

i could see them a day later after getting them they'd start to freak out cause they wouldn't know what to do with them selves.  I'm not saying the writers would go that way (unless it's dave polski ^^)

but i think the new conflict of learning to move on would be their new conflict.

 

Like imagine one of them trying to scrub it off  out of anxiety.

Twilight Time is going to be a Twilight/CMC episode.  It would be sooo nice if a mark happened there.  Every new CMC episode I lay out my hope to have it dashed.

I really do like the idea of the getting them at different times then feeling excluded thing it could make for a few awesome episodes. and also after it all they stay the CMC but to help other little phillies to find there talents
