Meadowlark was still awake, after her last nightmare, she couldn't get back to sleep. "Wait right here sweety, I'll get something from the cupboards." She gets up and goes through the cupboards, "Ah perfect!" she thinks to herself as she gets out a variety of small cakes and sweets, she also gets out some fruit and some water, she brings everything over to Maya, "here you go sweety"

Maya started to eat the small cakes. She soon finished them and went to the fruits. She ate the fruits slowly, as her belly was a bit round from the cakes she ate. While eating the fruits, she laid belly up, with her round and chubby belly sticking up. "Thanks mommy." She stated.

Meadowlark smiles, "You're quite welcome dear, and you can always get more if you want, you don't have to ask to get something to eat or drink" She nuzzles Maya and gently tickles her belly, "You really are the cutest little filly I know, and so bright and cheerful"

Maya giggled and blushed when Meadow tickled her belly. "You like my belly don't you mommy?" She asked as she continued to eat her fruit. Maya was very happy around Meadowlark, so happy, that she didn't feel the curse of the sage no more, but it was still there, very weak.

Meadowlark smiles "I love everything about you, darling." She nuzzles Maya and kisses her on the cheek, "We will start your school studies tomorrow, you have a lot to learn, and I will do my best to teach you, sweetheart" She says before walking over to the window and looking out at the night sky.

"O...okay mommy." Maya stated. She would rather run and play, rather than do school with Meadowlark as her teacher. She then soon finished her fruits. She then poured the water on her belly, which was automatically absorbed in her body. She then soon fell asleep. But while asleep, as the food was digesting, her belly was making some noises, that caused Maya to giggle softly.

"Maybe it is too soon to start her schooling" Meadowlark thought to herself as she looked over from the window.. She sees Maya asleep and giggling, and smiles. Walking over to her, she pulls the blanket over her and just underneath her chin, then puts her stuffed animal in her hooves, kissing her on the cheek she whispers "sweet dreams my darling" then goes back over to the window.

Maya stirred a little bit but calmed down and fell back to sleep. It was a peaceful night.

 

Soon, morning rose over the forest, Maya found herself snuggling with the stuffed animal. She suddenly woke. "M-mommy?" She asked with a little anxiety in her voice.

Meadowlark looks over from the window, her eyes red from crying, "Y...yes sweetheart?" she asks, hiding behind her mane, in order to hide her red eyes, "Is everything alright darling? are you hungry and thirsty?" She asks walking towards the kitchen, then accidentally trips over herself

"Y-yes...m-mommy...wh-what's happening? Why are you hiding?" Maya asked as she started to quiver. She held on to her stuffed animal tightly. "Mommy? Wh-where are you?" She asked frightened as tears started to well up in her eyes. She was very worried that Meadowlark had done something.

Meadowlark sighs "I..I'm down here darling," she says from the floor, trying to get up, "O..ouch, I've.. I think I've hurt myself" Meadowlark says as she pulls herself up, and limps over to Maya, and hugs her tightly, making sure Maya doesn't see her red eyes. she strokes her mane

Maya saw as Meadow was limping. "Y-you're hurt..." Maya stated as she closed her eyes, and focused some of her energy. What she did next, was amazing. She made magical leaves appear, that caressed the injured area. They were absorbed inside and fully healed Meadow of her alignments.

Meadowlark smiles, "T..thank you darling" She says hugging Maya tightly, "that was amazing, only 5 years old and so talented." she kisses her on the cheek, "Tell you what, it's too soon to start your schooling, it can wait another year or two, how about you just play and I keep watch on you for now?"

"Okay mommy." She stated as she made her leaf wings appear again. She then flapped them as she began to rise into the air slowly. She steadied herself as she began to fly in slow circles. She nearly lost her balance when she banked left suddenly. "Whoa!" She exclaimed flailing her little limbs to stay balanced.

Meadowlark sat down and smiled as she watched Maya fly around play, "careful there sweetheart, you don't want to bump into anything and hurt yourself" She calls out and gets up, going into the kitchen. As she gets a knife out  she looks at it and drops it in shock at her thoughts.

Maya kept on flying around and soon found herself flying slowly into the kitchen flapping her leaf wings. She then landed gently on the ground. So gently, that her landing couldn't be heard. "M-mommy? What are you doing?" Maya asked, hoping she wouldn't scare Meadow.

"Maya! I.. " Meadowlark bends down to pick up the knife she dropped, "I..I just dropped a knife darling." She picks it up and, sighing she gets out some fruit and starts to chop them up. after a few more minutes she finishes, and puts the fruit into a bowl, "breakfast is ready dear"

Maya went and sat down by the bowl. She started to eat her fruits. She was thinking about what else she could do with her power. She already built the house, and made wings for her to fly. She also healed Meadow. "Maybe I could use my power to protect mommy!" She thought to herself.

 Meadowlark smiles at Maya and eats her own simple breakfast, "What games would you like to play today dear? Or would you like to go exploring?" She asks as she eats, then gets out a glass of water for Maya, and smiles at her.

"Okay mommy. I wanna try out more of my abilities." Maya stated as she continued to eat. She saw as her belly had grown. Maya let out a soft giggle as she poured water onto her belly. It was absorbed and made some funny noises that caused Maya to giggle more.

Meadowlark smiles, "What was I thinking? Of course I'm a good mother" she says to herself as she continues eating, "Sounds great darling, what else do you think you can do? And remember, to take things slowly, if you rush it, things will end badly" She says smiling

"I-I don't know." Maya stated as she finished up her food and laid belly up, poking and playing with her chubby round belly for a little while, before getting up. "Are you going to come outside with me mommy?" Maya asked as she waited for Meadow at the doorstep.

"of course darling, I'll be just a minute, somepony needs to wash up the dishes" Meadowlark says as she walks into the kitchen to wash the dishes, a few minutes later, she comes out, "ok darling, let's go outside, it really is a beautiful day outside, let's enjoy it"

The sun was shining brightly. Meadow walked outside. She then saw a dead and drooped flower. "Awww." She groaned as she sat down by it and touched it. She focused a little bit of her energy and brought it back to life. "There you go little flower." Maya stated as she stood back up.

Meadowlark watched and smiled as Maya helped the flower get back to health, "she's so kind and caring, I'm very proud of her." she thinks to herself, she then calls out, "Maya, sweetheart, can you come here for a moment please, I've got something I'd like to ask you.."
