Maya looked up at Meadowlark. She was a little hestitant at first. She then slowly walked over to Meadow. "Yes mommy....is it...something...bad?" She asked starting to quiver a little. She looked at Meadow with a look of fear, thinking Meadow was going to ask her something she didn't want to answer.

Meadowlark smiles and hugs Maya, "don't worry sweetheart, it's something nice and good. I just wanted  to tell you how proud of you I am. You are a very, very special little filly, and I am very, very happy that you are now my adopted daughter" she hugs her again and nuzzles her, gently tickling her.

Maya lightly giggled when Meadow tickled her. "Now can I go back and play?" She asked as she felt the warmth of Meadow against her chubby body. She was very happy that Meadowlark was her mother, and wouldn't want anything to happen to her, despite her being a half-breed.

Meadowlark smiles, "of course dear, run along and play, but please stay close and where I can see you" she says with a smile, nuzzling Maya again. She sits down on the grass, and watches Maya playing happily. She picks a blade of grass and starts chewing on it.

Maya didn't go too far. She then tried something that she never tried before. "I wonder how I can grow to be as big as mommy." She thought to herself. She then focused some of her energy and started to grow in size a little. She then stopped growing after a little while. She was slightly bigger than Meadow inside. "Mommy look how big I am!" She said giggling and jumping happily.

Meadowlark was surprised, "Wow Maya, you're choc full of surprises!" She exclaims as she hugs her, "ooh you're so soft and snuggly, and now there's so much more of you to love and snuggle." Meadowlark buries her face in Maya's fur and mane. "I rally am very proud of you my darling little angel"

"You mean big angel mommy?" Maya teased with a giggle as she hugged Meadowlark in her snuggly, chubby, soft, warm and furry body. She was so glad to have Meadowlark as a mom. Even better, they were both half-breed, which meant they lived the same type of life.

"ooh yes, my big angel" Meadowlark says snuggling into Maya's fur. "I love you, for ever darling" She says, slowly closing her eyes. She wanted  Maya to play, but she was so warm and comfortable in Maya's fur and loving hug. "You never cease to amaze me dear, is tehre anything you want dear, a pet maybe?"

"Wh-what's a pet?" Maya asked as she started to stroke Meadow's fur. What she really wanted, was for the curse to be broken. Somehow, she knew that the sage was still around, but kept it a secret, so she wouldn't have to worry about it. The warmth and comfort of Meadow made her forget about it.

"A pet is a small animal that you care for and look after, you give it as much love, care and attention as I am giving you." Meadowlark replies, letting Maya stroke her fur. "that feels nice, I..I've never had anypony do this for me before" Meadowlark says wiping a tear away.

Maya then focused some of her energy and made a blanket of leaves appear. They dropped slowly on top of Meadow, gently wrapping themselves around to keep her warm. "I don't know about a pet yet mommy..." Maya stated as she continued to stroke Meadow gently.

Meadowlark smiles, "Ok darling, but if you change your mind, let me know and I will get you one" She snuggles underneath the blanket of leaves and closes her eyes, "S...stay close baby, w..while mummy h..has a nap" The sleep was overtaking Meadowlark again, most likely due to her being up all night the previous night.

Maya focused some more of her energy and grew a little more. She then cuddled with Meadowlark, as she was sleeping, gently stroking her fur. She too became tired and soon fell asleep cuddling Meadow. Five minutes later, a small clap of thunder could be heard in the distance.

Meadowlark slowly wakes up, "hmm, oh it's going to rain, Maya sweetheart, do you want to go back inside? I know you are half plant, but I don't want you getting sick, come on sweety" Meadowlark says, she looks at Maya, "wowzers sweetheart, you've grown even bigger" she snuggles her

Maya giggled. "All for you mommy." She stated as she got up and went into the house. She opened the door, used her energy and shrunk a few sizes down so she wouldn't be too big. She then went over to the pile of hay and cuddled. She waited for Meadowlark. Another clap of thunder could be heard.

Meadowlark smiles, "such a sweet little angel" she walks over to her, and as soon as she hears the clap of thunder, she shudders and quickly runs to the hay pile and hides, she snuggles up to Maya, quivering like a leaf. She was terrified of lightning and thunder.

"Wha-what's...what's wrong mommy?" Maya asked. Another clap of thunder sounded as the rain started to fall. Maya could feel Meadowlark quivering against her warm, fuzzy and chubby body. She then began to stroke Meadow's fur gently to attempt to calm her down.

"S..sorry baby, it's just..." Meadowlark sighs, "Mummy's terrified of loud noises, especially by thunder and lightning." she snuggles into Maya's fur, "I'm pathetic" she says, starting to calm down a little, as Maya gently strokes her fur and mane. "Thank you sweety"

"D-Don't say that..." Maya stated as she snuggled Meadow and stroked her fur. She soon drifted off to sleep holding on to Meadowlark. It was close to dusk. A louder clap of thunder sounded. Maya wasn't phased by it, for she had gone through many thunderstorms before she met Meadow.

Meadowlark didn't say anything, she just snuggled even further into Maya's fur,, still quivering a little. She feels the warmth and softness of Maya's fur and body and soon settles down, "T..thank you darling. I really am proud of you, gone through everything you have, and yet you're still such a cute, giving, caring filly."

The rain continued to pour down. Maya slept the whole way through.

Morning soon rose over the damp forest. Raindrops were still dripping from certain places and it was quite humid. Maya slowly woke and nuzzled Meadow to wake her. "Morning mommy." Maya stated as she started to stroke Meadow's fur.

Meadowlark slowly woke from her slumber, "hm.. is it morning already? something  I can do for my special little girl?" She asks, nuzzling May back with love, "did you sleep well sweetheart? and..I'm sorry about last night, it's just.. no nevermind, it's in the past. Come on, I bet you're hungry"

"I am mommy." Maya stated as she got up and shrunk back to normal size. She then stretched. "Can I some fruit mommy?" Maya asked as she waited by the door of the house. Her stomach suddenly growled. Maya blushed lightly. It would be another day of playing and trying out the rest of her abilities.

"sure thing baby, why don't you go outside and play for a little while, I will call you when breakfast is ready" Meadowlark says with a smile, then kisses Maya on the cheek before going to the kitchen, "just remember to stay where I can see you, okay darling?"

"Ok mommy." Maya stated as she went outside. She then focused her energy. This time however, long vines grew out of her. It kind of spooked her out a little. "M-mommy?" She called out. "Oh, what have I done?" She thought to herself as she quivered. The vines weren't doing anything, since they were a part of her.
