"Yes Solar?" Maya asked waiting for a response. She was quivering lightly, for she still had that thought about if Solar was one of those stallions who only wanted sex and only sex. She was nervous, but because she was old enough, she had to fend for herself.

solar blushed and Nuzzled into Meadow shoulder with a goofy smile. 

 

"Heh, looks like our little girl is growing up. Heh, never thought I would see my little flower get asked out myself. I'm so happy" He says to her and licks her muzzle affectionately and looks to Maya.

Maya stopped quivering. "O...okay..." Maya said blushing lightly. "Want to...go to my house, or Ponyville?" Maya asked with a small smile on her face. She was relived that Solar would turn out to be a nice stallion.

Solar smiles a little, "W..why not both? We can go to Ponyville, then back to your place. I..I'd like to meet your parents properly. I hope they will approve of me." he says a little nervously, "but we do have our time with the Wonderbolts..."

 

Spitfire smiles, "you to loveponies go on your date, we'll reschedule"

"Okay then..." Maya stated as she gracefully spread her leafwings and took to the skies. She waited for Solar. "So far so good, but I can't call it just yet. I'll wait until we go down to Ponyville and then back up here." Maya thought to herself. "Let's go to my house first." Maya said.

Solar Cloud smiled and couldn't help but admire Maya's wings. He spreads his own wings and flies after her. He soon catches up, "Okay, what ever you want to do Maya, I'm happy to do" he says with a smile. "wow, she's really caring and pretty. And her grandda is Shadow Wings..." he thinks to himself with a smile

Soon, Maya arrived at the doorstep of her house and opened the door. "Mom, this is my new friend Solar. We met when I was going to see the Wonderbolts. Is it alright if we hang out in Ponyville for a little while?" Maya asked hoping it was okay with Meadowlark since she was now older.

Meadowlark smiles, "well, I don't see why not, just be careful sweetheart." she turns to Solar, "Well hello there, you know you share the same first name as my husband, just a warning, hurt my filly and there will be prices to pay."

Solar whimpers a little in fear.

 

Shadow comes flying in, "MEADOW! Calm yourself, Solar here is one of my former students, you can trust him"

Meadow smiles, "Okay, if my father says I can trust you, then I trust you." Turning to Maya again, "Have fun love"

"Don't let Meadow scare you. But she is right. Also, just to warn you, I can defend myself too." Maya warned as well. "Well we're heading down to Ponyville for the time being. See you later Mom." Maya stated as she exited out the door and waited for Solar to follow.

Solar followed, "I..I wouldn't even dare dream of hurting such a caring and pretty young filly like you" He says, gathering his courage. "Maya, I really like you. I..I'd defend your honor with my life" He says catching up again, "anyone who bullies you, will have to go through me"

Maya blushed at this remark as she continued to fly down to Ponyville. In all honesty, Maya had learned to defend herself from her own abilities. If anyone dared to hurt her, she could summon spiky vines out of her body and nail her assailant hard, hard enough to send them to the hospital.

 As they land, Solar leans in and quickly pecks Maya on the cheek, then he sighs, looking over at his wings. He shakes his head, "so then beautiful, where shall we go first?" he asks her,trying to get his mind off of his wings. He was worried that if he showed her what his wings were like, she would think him a monster.

Maya sort of flinched at the peck and blushed. "Well...we can go to uhm....Sugarcube Corner." Maya stated as she landed on the ground, flapped her wings, focused some energy and made them disappear. Suddenly, her stomach growled loudly, loud enough for Solar to hear. Maya giggled at this. "And just in time too." She said.

Solar nods, that meant he would have to take the enhancements from his wings, but it is where Maya wanted to go, so he agreed. "J..just a minute" he says, sighing he reaches behind his back and takes them off, showing ow his wings were badly cut up, torn and filled with burn marks. He puts the enhancements and replacement wings in his bags, "O-okay, I'm ready"

"A...are you trying to hide something?" Maya asked as she looked back at Solar. She could partially see the burnt and cut wings. She didn't say anything and was not exactly upset due to the fact that Solar had badly injured wings. She could heal them up right then and there.

Solar nods, "S..sorry Maya, I..I was afraid that if I showed my true wings to you, you would think of me some pathetic retch or some sort of monster. I couldn't bare to lose such a sweet and caring filly like you." He says, he sighs as he fully unfolds them to show her the extent of the damage that was done. "All done by my birth parents"

"That's...that's terrible. What parents would do that." Maya stated as her compassion came forth. She sat down and eased Solar to the ground gently, making him lay on his belly. She then focused her energy and let her healing abilities run through Solar. She could see the burns and scars disappear. Soon, she saw nothing but the true color of Solars wings. "There, all better now." Maya stated patting Solar on the head gently.

"T..they did it because I was an.. a..a.. I can't pronounce it properly.. they say I was a mistake. I wasn't supposed to be born." He says sadly, but looks at his wings, "T...they're healed! But the doctors said that they'd never heal!" He looks up at Maya, now with the utmost love in his eyes, "I..how can I ever thank you Maya?"

"A-li-corn?" Maya asked as she started to stroke Solar's fur gently. She had sat in a small patch of tall grass near Sugarcube Corner where hardly anypony could see them. She felt bad for Solar, but would give him all of the love that he needed.

Solar nods, and moves his mane back to show a horn that was broken off near the base. "they did that too... Maya..apart from the authorities and the hospitals.. you're...you're the first I've ever...I've ever trusted with this i-i-information." He looks up at her, "N-not even your grandda knows this"

"Everything will be safe with me." Maya said hugging Solar for the first time just like her mother did when she was small. Unfortunately, she could not restore Solar's horn, for only the highest level of unicorns or alicorns are capable of doing that. 

 

(OOC: I have an OC who was an alicorn but got his horn cut off by his evil and jealous uncle. However, he discovered a unique ability that doesn't require a unicorn horn.)

Solar snuggled into Maya's warm and fuzzy fur. He truly smiled, for the first time in his life. He nuzzled her and licked her on the cheek "thank you Maya. For...for not freaking out and calling me a monster"

Maya nuzzled him back. "Well I think you just earned yourself a...a..." She couldn't figure out the word. She thought about it but Meadowlark hadn't taught her about "fillyfriends" and "coltfiriends." She stayed silent, trying to think of word while stroking Solar gently.

Solar looks up, "A fillyfriend?" he asks with hope, letting is mane fall back down, hiding his horn. "N..no that can't be it. I'm beyond repair, and not worth loving, So my p..parents have told me" he says sadly. He licks Maya's cheek again, "I..I'm sorry, I'm being such a downer"
