Maya stopped eating the cake and rolled over. She then got up. "Wh-what is it mommy?" Maya asked as she moved the cake to the side and held on to Meadow's hoof. "What could mommy have for me?" Maya thought to herself. One of Maya's leafponies sat down as it watched.

Meadowlark smiled, "Sweety, how would you like to meet my parents in Cloudsdale? They are really nice and gentle. A lot like me, Just so you know, they weren't the reason I ran away as a little filly, Draconia, she's the Changeling side of me, was." She nuzzles Maya, hoping that she would say yes.

"Umm...I....okay mommy..." Maya said hesitantly. Even though the sage was gone, she was a still a little hesitant about leaving her home. However, she would soon have to leave, for she would be too old to run around and play. Maya focused her energy and made her wings appear.

Meadow heard the hesitation in her voice but smiled, "There's a girl, I promise, my parents are going to love and adore you. Also, Cloudsdale is a fair way away, so if you don't think that you can make it there by yourself, you can ride on my back." She says, nuzzling Maya.

"Alright...mommy...can I take a leafpony with me?" Maya asked. She did not wan't to have to break them apart since she had them for a while and were her little friends until she got some real ones. One of her leafponies came by her side while the other one stayed behind.

"Certainly dear, your grandparents will just love them." Meadow says with a smile,  she kneels down to let Maya and her leaf pony hop onto her back. she then stands up and carries them out of the house. Spreading her wings, she starts to lift off the ground and fly towards the direction of Cloudsdale at a slow, leisurely pace.

Maya hopped on Meadow's back and so did her leafpony. The other leafpony just looked as the two left. Maya unfolded her leafwings to balance herself on top of Meadow's back as she held on to Meadowlark and waited for her to take to the skies over to Ponyville.

After a few hours of flying, they finally reach Cloudsdale and  land. Meadowlark smiles and uses one of her changeling power spells to make it so that Maya could walk on the clouds. She then holds her hooves out for Maya and her leaf pony to hold. "It's beautiful here, isn't it?" she asks with a small sigh..

Maya was a little hesitant to walk on the clouds. "M...mommy...wh-what if I...fall through..." Maya stated starting to quiver a bit. She extended a hoof out and was about to get off, but she hesitated because she was still scared about falling though the clouds and down to the ground.

"You won't fall dear, the spell I cast on you and your leaf pony will make sure of that. Plus, your leaf wings will help too." Meadowlark says as she looks around at the familiar surroundings, "hmm, now if I remember correctly, my parents' house is right next to the flight school arena." she says thoughtfully as she waits for Maya and her leaf pony to get off her back.

"O...okay..." Maya stated as she got off and plopped on a cloud. She sort of sank in just a little bit due to her chubby body. She slowly strolled behind Meadowlark. She focused her energy and made her wings disappear. Her leafpony was walking right beside her.

Meadowlark smiled and stopped once to nuzzle into Maya and reassure her. "Don't worry sweety, your mama and papa will just love you" she says as she reaches her parents' house. She then knocks on the door and a mare's voice calls out from the other side, "Who is it?"

 

Meadowlark hesitates for a moment, "M-mother, i-it's..."

the door opens and a green older mare stands there with her jaw dropped then nearly screams, "MEADOW!!" then gives her a big hug, caressing her in her arms, crying.

Maya jumped back a little and started to quiver as the older pony quickly hugged Meadowlark. She also thought that it was going to hurt Meadow, which caused her to be close to crying point. She didn't understand the reunion of Meadow with her parents. Her leafpony had cuddled with her while Maya was still quivering.

Meadow hugged her mother back and then saw Maya quivering, she gently gets out of her mother's hug and nuzzles Maya, "It's ok sweety, I'm sorry, I forgot how overbearing my mother can be." She picks Maya up and cradles her in her arms, rocking her soothingly.

 

Meadow's mother, sees, "Meadow, who is this adorable little one?" She asks with a smile.

 

Meadow smiles, "Mother, this is my adopted daughter, Maya Flower."

 

Meadow's mother smiles even wider, and leans and says in a gentle, kind tone, "hello sweety, my name is Daechiril, but you can just call me Mama."

Maya was still quivering when Meadow picked her up. Her leafpony just looked at Meadowlark with Maya in her arms. Maya slowly stopped quivering and uncurled. "H...hello..." She said stirring a bit in Meadowlark's arms.

 

(OOC: Wouldn't Daechrill technically be Maya's adopted grandma?)

Daechiril smiles and gently nuzzles Maya, "it's ok darling, no need to be frightened, I didn't mean to scare you, it's just... I hadn't seen your mother in so many years, her father and I we...we thought she had d...died" she says a little sadly, "come in, come in." she says stepping aside and Meadow, with Maya still in her arms walks in.

Maya's leafpony followed. She started to stir in Meadow's arms. "Mommy...could you put me down now?" She asked as she stirred lightly in Meadowlark's arms. She was amazed at the size of the house, and was slowly getting used to being outside of the forest. Her leafpony just laid down and watched.

Meadowlark smiles, "of course dear" she says as she puts Maya back down, and soon a brown stallion with a red tint to his eyes and no cutie mark walks up, "M-Meadow, is-is that you?" he asks, Meadow simply nods, and the stallion hugs her tightly, "We've missed you so much, we thought...we thought you were dead" he says sobbing lightly on her shoulder. Meadow simply pats his back and smiles, "No father, I ran away, I had to, after... after what you know who did." she says too frightened to mention Draconia's name. Her father nods, "It's ok darling, you can mention her name." he then sees Maya, "And who is pretty little filly?"

 

Meadow smiles, "This is Maya Flower, father. She's my adopted daughter."

 

The stallion smiles, "hello sweety, I'm Shadow Wing, but you can call me papa or grandpa, whichever you prefer"

"Okay..." Maya stated as she continued to look around. She then looked to her left and noticed a drooped flower. "Oh no..." Maya said to herself. She then focused some of her energy, which caused a green aura to surround her. She was able to bring the flower back to life. It was a bright yellow sunflower that now stood tall and proud. "There you go." Maya stated.

Shadow smiles, "Well now little one, that's quite a talent you've got there. Your grandmother is going to love that. She loves gardening."

Daechiril hears her name and walks up, "I'm going to love what now?" She sees how the flower had perked up, "Did you do that sweety?" she asks Maya, "that's wonderful, perhaps you can help me with my garden, that is if you would like to."

Maya nodded yes. She then waited for Daechril to take her to the garden. Her leafpony was next to her and waited patiently. She then thought about what Meadowlark's parents woud think of her other abilities besides the revival abilities. "I hope that mommy's parents will continued to like me..." She thought.

Daechiril holds her hoof out for Maya to take then takes her to the garden, where a large variety of plants and flowers were growing. She smiles as she shows her around, "So sweetheart, You're not an ordinary little filly, are you?" she asks in a kind and gentle tone, so not as to scare her.

"No..." Maya stated as she slowly walked out into the garden. "Wow...this is beautiful..." Maya said with a small smile as she continued to walk through the garden. Maya then noticed some twigs laying on the ground. She then focused her energy and turned them into a statue of Meadowlark with them.

Daechiril smiled, "thank you dear, and so is your statue, I know my little Meadowlark will love it." They continue walking through the garden when they come across a certain plant, Daechiril sheds a tear and quickly wipes it away, hoping that Maya didn't notice.

Maya turned her head and saw a tear on Daechril's face. "Wh-what's wrong?" Maya asked. She then looked at the statue of Meadowlark that she made. She just stared at it, waiting for Daecharil to answer her about what she was crying for. She didn't know about the plant.
