Solar follows her mother out to the living room.

 

"Yes Mrs. Daechiril?" He asks innocently, wondering why she had called him away.

 

That mare....Meadow.....she is nice and beautiful....Not t mention it sounds like she has a really nice filly. If only I could be as lucky to get her.

Daechiril smiles, yet with a serious look on her face, "Solar, it is obvious to me that you really like my daughter, am I right?" she doesn't wait for a response, "If you do, then you should know, she really likes you too, but be careful, she is very fragile, one wrong move or word can set her off, and Draconia her...Changeling side, she is extremely protective of her"

"I know and I understand and accept the danger. I lived with a dragon for many years, I know what it is like with a dangerouse being. But she is just so kind and beautiful, I am willing to go with her." He says, but then he gets a sad look.

 

"But...well...I dont exactly know how to ask her to be my special somepony" He says.

"Just ease into it dear. But don't ask her now, she's been through a lot, and even though I know she will say yes, she would not be able to take the excitement just yet." Daechiril replies, "As for my granddaughter, she is like Meadow, very shy and timid, very easily frightened."

"heh, I bet. I will treat her like my own daughter. She basically will be if me and Meadow go together. I just hope she will like me as well as she does Meadow, or somewhere near that. " He says. 

 

Though he had never had a child, or done anything that could result in one, so the concept was very new to him.

"Once she hears how you saved her mummy and sees how caring and kind you are, she will warm up to you. Just one more thing, she's half-breed, half pony, half plant. The circumstances of her birth are...interesting to say the least. Enough about that, do you have any preferences for dinner?"

Solar giggles a little.

 

"Wow, quite a diverse family we have here. And no, unless you have any pasta, I LOVE pasta, could eat the stuff all day" Solar says salviating a little. 

 

Wow, this day is just weird. Save a mares life, fall in love with her, learn their secrets....just wow...

Dae chuckles a little, "you and Meadow both, and yes we do have pasta. How does linguini sound?" She asks with a smile, "and I know, but there's nothing wrong with diversity, makes life interesting." She looks over and sees Meadow gazing over at Solar, "It would seem my daughter wants you, I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything"

Solar trots over to Meadow and smiles.

 

"You have a very nice family here. I cant wait to meet you daughter, what was her name ?" Solar thought for a few seconds, " Maya, that was it. I hope she likes me" He says with a smile. Solar was blushing hard, and tried to hide it from Meadow, but failed.

Meadow smiles at him "I'm sure she will, she may take a little time to warm up to you, but once she does, she will love you...like I..." she stops, she couldn't say it. "I really have to thank you for saving me, is there anything I can do to repay you?" She asks, smiling at him still.

"You dont have to repay me, I was just doing what was right. Saving a beautiful mare" Solar says with a friendly smile.

 

"So, you ready for some pasta? That's what we are having for dinner" He says with a sile, attempting to lighten the mood a little with some silliness.

Meadow smiles, "mm pasta, yummy" Meadow says with a smile, "and... I..I'm not b..beautiful" she says, hiding behind her mane to hide her blush. She gets up and holds out her hoof to take Solar to the living room. She also waited with a smile for Maya to join them, she couldn't wait to introduce Solar to Maya.

Solar tkes her hoof and follows her.When they reach the living room, Solar stops for a second, and stares at Meadow. He Blushes and smiles.

 

"M-meadow...I really have to admit.....you are very cute" he says with a small childish giggle and he walks up next to her and smiles.

Meadow smiles at him "Thank you Solar, I'm glad you think that, I feel the same way about you too." She says, planting a kiss on his cheek. "and just wait til you see Maya, she is the most precious, sweet, adorable little filly there is." She says, waiting for her father and Maya to join them.

Maya still had tears in her face. When she walked in the door, she saw Meadowlark laying on the couch. "Mommy!" Maya sort of cried out and ran to her with tears in her eyes. She then jumped and hugged Meadowlark tightly while sobbing lightly. She was very grateful that Meadowlark was okay.

Meadow smiles and hugs Maya back tightly. "H..hello dear. Please do not cry. Mummy's fine. I just..got into a bit of trouble on the way to the shops." She kisses her on the head and strokes her mane, and looks at Solar, "Maya, my little angel, there is somepony I want to introduce you to." she smiles at Solar, "Maya, this kind stallion is Solar Dust, he is the one that rescued me."

She then looks back at Solar, "Solar, dear. This is my adorable, sweet, little angel, Maya Flower. I am oh so very proud of her and she is the most special little filly there is" she says, introducing him to her. "I hold her very close and dear to my heart. She is my most special little filly."

Maya was still quivering and hugging Meadowlark. She then turned and saw the stallion. She sort of jolted and quivered in Meadowlark's soft and fuzzy fur. She really didn't know what to say to him since it was her first time seeing her. She had retorted to her little shy self.

Solar nods and leans down to Maya.

 

"Hey there Maya, I guess you already know who I am but, I'm Solar Dust. And dont worry your mother will be fine, I made sure of that. I have heard quite a bit about you. You sound pretty awesome" Solar says kindly to Maya with a smile.

Maya sort of curled in a ball and was still quivering. She still didn't know what to say to the stallion. She just looked into his eyes with her scared little eyes. She was still very worried about Meadowlark and when she would get better. She then remembered a healing thing she did a while back. She then focused her energy and lit her body. She then radiated some of her energy onto Meadowlark, healing her up. She then looked back at Solar.

"My My, you are a special one. Meadow is lucky to have a little pal like you with her" He said, noticing she seemed scared of him.

 

"hmm? Is something wrong ? Do I scare you?" Solar asks sadly. 

 

It seems that way. Hopefully over time she warms up as the others said she would,

Meadow continues to embrace Maya, stroking her mane softly. She then feels the familiar sensation of Maya's healing ability. She hus her tighter, "thank you sweety, I feel much better, and you don't have to worry, Solar here is a nice stallion, he isn't going to hurt you or me, his daddy is in charge of the ponies who protects everypony." She says soothingly.

"I'm sorry Solar, darling. Maya does take time to warm up to new ponies. She's very shy and timid, before she met me, she didn't know any other ponies, she lived her life in the forest, all by herself" Meadow explains to Solar, hoping that he would understand, "Please, just give her some time"

Maya snuggled deeper into Meadowlark's fur. "...Mommy...can I tell...Solar how I was...born?" Maya asked as she was still somewhat in a ball snuggling into Meadowlark's fur. It would take quite a bit of time for Maya to get used to Solar's presence, as she only trusted Meadowlark and her family.

Meadowlark smiles and looks to Solar, still snuggling Maya, "Of course sweety, that is, if our friend here wants to hear it. He is our guest, so if he doesn't want to hear it just yet, then we will respect that" She snuggles her closer. "Well Solar, love. Do you want to hear it?"

"I heard she was part plant. So yes, I would love to hear the story, I bet it would be really interesting" He said with a soft smile. 

 

He sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to him, inviting Meadow or Maya to sit next to him, if they wanted to.  He couldn't wait to hear the story.

Maya still snuggled with Meadowlark. "Well...I started out as a tiny little seed...this sage...who could...make the seed grow into anything, poured a growth potion on it, but it didn't grow. He continued to pour potions on it but had no luck. He thus abandoned the place...and just left the seed there. Soon...a heavy rain passed over the seed and it blossomed into a big flower. The flower opened and...there I was." Maya explained.
