Maya took the jug of water and laid belly up. She then poured it all on her belly, which was absorbed. Because it was so much water, it made a funny sound that caused Maya to let out a very silly laugh, loud enough for Shadow to hear.

 

(OOC: I think a pegasus might fall for Maya)

Shadow hears it and smiles at her, "Oh Maya, you mean so much to us. You may not be related to us by birth, but we love you just as much as if you were, if not more. " he nuzzles her, "and we will always be here to look after and protect you"

Maya's belly had grown a little bit. It was a bit hard for her to walk because of this. "Papa, could you carry me inside?" Maya asked. She had gained a little weight from the big jug of water her body had absorbed.

 

(OOC: Okay. This will probably be my last post for tonight. For tomorrow, I won't have wifi for the first part of the day, because I'll be commuting from Kissime to Spring Hill Florida. The trip will take about two hours. Hopefully there's wifi at my other aunt's house.)

Shadow smiled, "Of course I can sweety." He gently lifts her up and puts her on his back, then carries her inside.

Meadow was reading but saw them come in, "So, how did she go?" She asks with genuine interest

"Great, little Maya here is a natural flier, she even broke my record. I'm going to set up a meeting with her and the Wonderbolts."

"Really!" She hugs Maya tightly, "Oh darling, I am so proud of you! Nopony has ever beaten your papa's record."

Maya snuggled into Meadow's fur.

Eight years passed. Maya was now fourteen years old. She was now calling Meadowlark "mom" instead of "mommy". She had grown quite a bit. Maya woke up and saw herself taller than before. She ran down the stairs. "Mom! Look how tall I am!" Maya said with a happy giggle. Her voice had changed as well.

Meadow smiled, she was snuggled up with Solar. She looks over at Maya, "Wow darling, you certainly have grown up a lot, but you're still adorable as ever. Wait...today isn't your....birthday, is it?" She asks, trying to hold in a surprise secret.

"I...it is!" Maya stated almost forgetting about her own birthday. She sort of blushed when she saw Meadowlark snuggled with Solar. Even though she was fourteen, she still liked to snuggle with Meadowlark. She was now big enough for Meadowlark to lay on her, if she grew a few sizes.

Meadow smiles, "Then it is time for your special meeting with the Wonderbolts, isn't it love? But first, your nana has something for you"

 

Daechiril walks in with a smile and a cake, "Happy birthday sweetheart, you're 14 today, that's a big number" She places the plate with the cake on it down, and brings Maya in for a big hug. "mm We love you dear"

"Love you too grandma." Maya stated as she took a deep breath and blew out the candles. "And mom...I may have asked you this when I was younger but...who are the Wonderbolts?" Maya asked with a sort of clueless face.

Meadowlark smiles, "well my little flower petal, the Wonderbolts are the best and most famous fliers in all of Equestria. Normally you'd need to pay lots of money, be accepted into the academy or win the best young fliers competition to meet them, but mum and dad are personal friends of theirs." She says, still smiling.

"Huh?! H...how'd you get the Wonderbolts to be friends with you?" Maya asked. She even thought that Shadow was a former Wonderbolt since he was the one who ran the flight school. Maya had many thoughts in her head. She just couldn't believe that Shadow was friends with the Wonderbolts.

Shadow smiles, "Well you see,  it's because of my flight school. They appreciate the work I do to help those little fillies and colts who have trouble flying. They appreciate the fact that I do my job and run the school out of the goodness of my heart, the parents of the fillies or colts don't pay, though we do accept donations." He keeps on smiling, "in fact, apart from your grandma, they were the first to accept and welcome me to Cloudsdale."

Solar snugles happily with Meadow on the couch and nuzzles her cheek.

 

"Well, I see all the early bird's are up now" He says with a small giggle, "Happy birthday sweet heart" He says to Maya with a loving hug and a kiss on the forehead.

 

He kisses Meadow on the cheek and beckons Maya to them

"Aw thanks dad!" Maya said as she went forth and nuzzled Solar on the cheek. Maya then turned back to Shadow. "Well that explains it." She answered. She then found a photo album wrapped in a bright green ribbon. "Is...that...album for me?" She asked with those same sparkly eyes she had when she was a little child.

"Well, it is your birthday dear" Solar giggles, "So yes, it is" He smiles at her.

"Heh, our little angel is 14 hun. This is a wonderful moment for all of us, she is growing so fast" Solar says to Meadowlark with a big smile. He leans in and kisses his wife on the lips.

Maya ran and gave Solar a big hug. "You're the best! Thanks dad!" She said still hugging Solar tightly. She then let go and untied the green bow. As she did, she focused some of her energy, and the bow became a beautiful pink flower that rooted itself in her mane of leaves.

Meadowlark smiles at the display of love and affection Maya was showing towards Solar, it was wonderful. She smiles even more at just how much Maya has grown, she was older, and bigger, and that included her heart.

 

Shadow smiles too, "Let me know when you want to go see the Wonderbolts, sweetheart, and I'll take you to the arena."

 

Meadow snuggles back up with Solar and kisses him, "She sure has, but still as adorable, sweet and innocent as she was, the day I found her"

"Heh, your powers never cease to amaze me,  my little flower" Solar says to Maya, "Open it my dear, I promise you you shall love what is inside" He says.

 

He cuddles up to Meadowlark, and wraps his tail around hers as they cuddle and watches as he awaits her to open it.

Maya opened the album to the first page, which was a picture of Maya when she was young laying belly-up in her flower. Maya smiled at this and giggled at the picture. Even though she had grown older, she still had that chubbiness from when she was a foal.

Meadow was very happy, she had what she always wanted, a loving family.  She smiles at Maya, "you were so adorable back then, mind you still are adorable, but in a more beautiful way" She says sweetly to Maya, and nuzzles into Solar's mane. "I wouldn't be surprised if a colt falls for you, my beautiful flower" she says to Maya again.

Maya thought about this. "Wh...what you mean by "falls for me" mom?" Maya asked as she started to quiver very lightly, just as she did when she was a little foal. She hadn't been taught about love yet, and this was a perfect time, for the time will be coming close for Maya to get a coltfriend.

He snuggles with Meadow a bit more, scooting up closer to her and nuzzling her cheek with a happy smile.

Now, there are many types of love, but the two that are the most important, is the love of your family, where they show you care, kindness and love. She snuggles in with Solar, "that's right" She says, kissing Solar on the lips. Snuggling into her, she buries her face into his fur. "Honey, do you think we should give her the um...you know the 'talk'?" She asks, whispering it in to his ear, "And you should warn her about being used."

Maya stopped quivering. She then got up and closed the album after looking at a few more pictures. "Mom...I'm gonna go down to Ponyville...if that's alright." Maya stated as she focused her energy and made her leaf wings appear.

"hold on a second honey, I also have something for you" He says as he pulls out a little black box and hands it to Maya.

 

"When the clock strikes twelve, open that" He smiles.

 

 

He leans over to Meadow and whispers.

 

"Are you sure dear, I would be up for it, but the decision is totally up to you" He whispers.
