Tell your dad to go on the Internet and look up "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" on Wikipedia, and then go to the fandom section.

 

I ignore people who think that way. Everyone has their own opinion and way of looking at the world, and in a strong sense, everyone thinks they're right. At least show him that you're not the only one, so he has some idea.
