he said while crawling tosard Bliss, his leg still hurting

 

"and.. friend.. i trust you.. i think.. i just.. fear you.. that's all.."

 

"Poniculosis?.. Celestia Bliss.. don't even mention it.. please.."

 

he said looking at the mare closely

Seth was concerned about the reaction to the name of the illness. He fallowed him up the stairs, beginning to panic again. "Volt, what is it. Why is it so bad. I see that she's dying down there, but how does Poniculosis cause it to be any worse than it already is? Volt, I know nothing here. Just tell me the troth here... what is it?"

*As he slipped further and further into unconsciousness his mind began to wander as the cold crept all over his body, memories of the times when he first met Callette filled his mind when he first opened his eyes and gazes up into hers for what seemed like eternity. The memory faded and was replaced to their first kiss on that fateful day during his friends Polaris northern incursion. As the memory of their kiss held in his mind a faint smile flicked across his face as he slid off the tree, landing sideways in the snow, he whispered a few inaudible things to himself and slowly began to breathe less and less*

Volt got closer to Seth, whispering in his ear

"it is.. an  illness.. of lungs... it was definied... as "the captain of the ponies of death" the only way to be sure.. is using an x ray machine.. i have it in my dam.. llow blood pressure, high heart rate, and low oxygen saturation... if i had Icarus bag.. i could at least have.. have an idea.. it is an infection.. mainly caused by viruses... that attack when a pony is weak.. maybe.. maybe it was in the forest.. some bacteria.. or something.. without medicines.. without.. she is dead.. and we can't move her... i.. i don't know friend... i really.. never saw a pony with it... she needs a real hopsital.. and real medicines if she has it.. or only turning her into a vampire will save her... please.. can you bring me the bag? .. i.. ican't move.. my legs.. are still broken... "

*She watched as the two males went up the stairs to talk in private. Her large ears attempted to catch what they were saying but Volt made sure she couldn't hear them...

 

She shivered at the thought what she had may be more serious then she assumed...*

 

I thought...this disease has a cure... *she heaved for air* there is a vaccine...but... but if no pony here has it... No...no Blissy...be positive...*coughs*

*He opens his eyes slowly and shivers, realizing he must have blacked out and fallen asleep in the snow, groaning he stands up and staggers as he struggles to keep his balance*  Ughhhh  -_-   *Slowly he begins trotting towards the Cabin, each step feeling extremely painful and stiff, he could no longer feel his right wing at all and he dared not look at it.  As he approaches the cabin door he slowly and quietly pushes it open, he catches a glimpse of the fire burning in the hearth and totally unaware of anything or any pony else in the room he collapses down in front of it whimpering and crying as the fire warms up his frozen body but at the same time causing the pain to return*

Seth was taken back by the information, but did as he was told. He ran up and looked in Icarus's bag. After a half a minute of looking, he brought it to Volt at the bottom of the stairwell. He gave him the bag, but before departing for Bliss, he grabbed Volt's shoulder.

 

"You said there are four ways this can turn out. One, we get her to a hospital. Two, one of us runs to another town and grabs a vaccine and gets back in the middle of a winter's night. Three, I... bite her and the vampire venom cures her. Or four, she dies. One is already out of the question and four... I won't let happen. But if you are telling me that I might need to... bite her... I cannot bring myself to do it. I know Bliss's life is at stake here, but... it's hell being who I am." He said, looking deep into Volt's eyes. After a second, he looked away.

 

"I will only do it as a last resort."

VOlt while going down the stairs noticed his friend Skilar

 

"damn Seth,,, he needs help too... and... "

 

he looked  in his eyes

 

"i.. i don't know... yes.. i belive that those are the alternatives unless you have some kind of magic that could wake me up from this nightmare... she is diying, i am weak and without electricty, Skilar is on the razor line too, you are a time bomb and Icarus is missing... what could be worst?... "

 

he said sobbing

 

"sorry... sorry.. really Seth.. i am not .. blaiming you.. it is just.. that... "

 

hu hugged the wolf in disperation

 

"i just want this to be all over. i can't stand it anymore.. i am not used to all of this... "

Seth looked to see Skyler bleeding on the floor next to the fire. He immediately grabbed his med kit and brought it over to the downed pegusus. He noted the wing was limp and was bleeding rapidly.

 

"Volt, you make sure Bliss is stays stable; I'll handle Skyler here." He opened the medkit and pulled out a clothe to clean the existent blood on the wing. After doing so, he sterilized the wound began to rap the appendages in medical bandages. He then ran to the kitchen a grabbed a pot and filled it with hot water. Bringing it to the pony, he placed it near the fire and soaked two rags and covered the limp wings, attempting to warm them up.

 

After getting the major task done, he wiped his brow and called to Volt. "Hey... if you have a sec, I would like to talk some more." he said, turning back to Skylar and feeling his wings for breaks in the bone.

*He whimpers and sobs as the wolf gently dabs at his wing, feeling pain shoot through it, as he pressed a paw on the middle of his right wing he let out a shriek of pain and almost blacked out, he buried his head in his hooves and sobbed* Ow ow ow ow  *Tries to shuffle away but feels to weak, instead he lies there trying to get warm in front of the fire, shivering a little as feeling returns to his frozen body, he looks up at Seth with confusion*  W-Why are you... *Sobs* Helping me... I... was going to kill..... *Starts sobbing again and twitches his broken wing, he nuzzles up into the wolf not caring anymore about him being part vampire*

Volt leaned near Bliss, tasting his pulse and checking her temperature, he listened carefully to her breathmm and her wheezes

 

he then looked to the wolf

 

".. yes.. yes.. Seth... "

 

he said walking away from Bliss and keeping his eyes on her.

 

"tell me... i think.. i think "
 

he looked down

 

"better go into another room.."

Seeing Sky struggle, he put a paw on his shoulder, trying to keep his wing strait. "Easy, you're not in the bast shape as it is. Don't make it any worse." As he felt the pony bury himself into the wolf's fur, Seth gave a sorrowing smile at him. He felt around the wing, then stopped when he felt a break. "Damn it!" Seth muttered to himself. He pulled out a nerve relaxant and injected it into the wing. "This should help with the pain. You have a rather large break in your right wing." He pulled out the needle and began to align the bone into it's proper state. "I'm... Sorry for what happened out there. I don't blame you if you still want me dead."

 

 

@@Doc. Volt, 

 

He then turned to Volt. "Hey doc, I can't really leave him alone right now. Plus... he will need to know. But I just want to say... I really don't want to have to put her through that. Even if it's the only way for her to survive, I..." He looked to Bliss. "She's just too innocent for what that life brings."

*Whimpers as his wing gets injected and relaxes a little, he looks up to him with teary eyes and sobs*  Heh... yeah I guessed that..... *Winces and grits his teeth as he starts to straighten his wing out, buries his face once more into the wolfs fur  and nuzzles , enjoying it's softness and warmth* I don't want you dead.... I'm so sorry.... I just....just.... *Begins sobbing and cuddles into him desperately trying to fight off the pain, his head spun and he felt like he was about to throw up*  Urghhhh.... *Gulps and whimpers, looking confused and in pain*

Volt looked at the injection and he checked every single Seth's movements

 

"we should move Skilar near to her sis... at least.. at least they will be feeling a little better.. the first step for getting better is to feel good... if this is even possible here..."

 

Volt said gently stroking the stallion's wing to see if it was broken

 

"does it hurts if i p ress here Skilar? if it is broken.. we must splint it.. or it will repair wrong.. and you will be never being able to fly again..:"

 

Volt said calmy, trying to not scare his friend

 

"and Seth... they both need medical attention... both.. and it is true that she is innocent.. but you are also too... it is not you.. it is the.. thing inside you.. and trust me.."

 

Volt continued turning on Skilar

 

"noone knows better than me..." he sighed

 

"so.. what are. we going to do?... i am weak but.. but i can try to go down my dam or the city. .and maybe find or prepare the vaccine... i don't know.. all i need is a lighting.. a simple one... but.. all we have is this storm... Seth.. how much will he... behave?"

*He shrieks out again in pain and thumps his hooves on the ground* OWWWWWWW!!!!!!  *Starts to cry and buries his head between his hooves, he wished they would stop prodding his wing, the pain was unbearable but he was to weak to talk, his head was still spinning and he shivered all over, he weakly kicks out instinctively trying to push away the cause of the pain, his legs slump weakly to the floor and he keeps crying, closing his eyes*

"OUCH i am sorry friend!.. i didn't mean to hurt you!.. :("

Volt exclaimated while slowly and gently letting the wing

 

"i.. i am afraid i was right.. it is broken.. in more than one spot... we must splint it... "

 

Volt hugged the stallion putting his head over Skilar's shoulder

 

"i am sorry ... but.. we must.. block it... put a splint.. and.. i .. it.. it will hurt a lot... the one other way.. is to bring you to an hospital... "

 

Volt slowly whsipered before letting him , he then sitted on the ground in front of him adn looking at him in the eye he continued

 

"friend... i.. i am sorry.. i hope th pain will pass... " he muttered sadly

*Keeps sobbing and rests his head on the Stallions lap and nuzzles into his tummy, speaks through sobs and sniffs* I-It's... Okay... you d-didn't know  *Sobs and shivers, groaning at the pain and his spinning head* I'm not sure.... *Closes his eyes and sobs loudly* P-perhaps it's best to get it checked in the h-hospital.....  *Suddenly looks panicked and begins crying heavier*  G-god what if I cant fly again.... I would rather die.... oh god.... :(

"what pegasus would live without being able to fly?"

 

muttered Volt looking at his finally found again wings

 

"perhaps.. the hosptial will be also the only salvation also.. for Bliss.... but... you can't fly.. she can't move.. and she can't stay in the cold.. i am destroied... and Seth will be, without offence, a danger for everypony in a city or worst in an hospital full of unable to react ponies... it will be a massacre if he lose control... i.. i "

 

he hided his face in his hooves

 

"i.. i don't really know what to do.. why Celestia.. why in hell and in Equestria i am so worthless?!?!"

 

he sobbed

*He moves forward with a loud groan and whimper, his heart sinks seeing the Pegasus cry. Gently he nuzzles under his chin and licks a little, making comforting sounds as he nuzzled, still sobbing at his own pain*  I-I don't know what to d-do either.... but p-please don't cry.... you aren't worthless, you are one of the b-best stallions I have ever met...  *Cuddles close into the stallion and lays there staring into the fire* 

 

*Looks up after a few moments and asks*  Where are you keeping Bliss?... if s-she is really ill something has to be done...

"thank you really much... the only pony that told me this.. was too much time ago.... and... *sniff* Bliss, is in the other room... on.. on the couch.. i think she is asleep... she.. she is weak and ill... she.. she needs help.. real help.. i. i am.. can't do anything.. "

Seth let the two stallions talk as Volt did his work on Sky's leg. He walked into the room to see an unconscious Bliss on the couch. Seeing how the others were debating over the situation at hand, he had some thoughts to mull over. Seth felt, seeing that Bliss was alone, this was probably the best place. He sat down at the foot of the couch she was sleeping on and stared into the fire, watching the would slowly eat away at the organic material. 

 

'I can't go through with it. If it is Bliss's last hope to be bitten, I know she would rather not live. This plague... it changes beings. I wasn't pure when this happened, I've fraught in war. I have already killed many ponies. Yet this... this is unwolven. Unnatural.

 

'Bliss is pure, or at least the purest being to walk this earth I've seen. She is the embodiment of life and peace. If she feels when another is killed, what will happen when it is by her hoof? If she feels the Lust...she will turn her vary being against herself. It will consume her... It will destroy her.'

 

Seth found himself leaning into Bliss's soft fur. He had to be there for her. He had to make sure she returned home without the scars he had been living with. As his mind clouded with exhaustion of the nights holdings, the wolf fell asleep at the foot of Bliss.

*She finally stirred aftering feeling a warm muzzle resting against her side. Opening her eyes, she could see as well as feel the familiar sobbing of Seth... She placed a hoof on his head, not sure why he was sad or worried, but was glad to have some company at least, even if it was sad.*

 

*Coughs* Is...is everything alirght Seth...? Has... Skylar come back to...the cabin? Is...he... Volt... you all... ok?

Seth woke to Bliss's questions. He looked at her with caring eyes. He knew he had to tell her something, he just didn't know how to say it.

 

"I'm...fine Bliss. Skylar's back in the other room with the Doc. He's a bit beaten up, but we should be able to get him fixed up.... How are you feeling?"

Seth looked to Volt in the other room, intentionally looking away from Bliss. He knew he needed to tell her.

 

"Bliss... there's a chance... that we might not be able to get the cure. It's also unlikely we can get you to a hospital safely. Bliss," He said, looking into her green eyes with his blue. "I... might be forced to... bite you..." He said, lowering his head in shame.
