Shadow stopped altogether. His next cocked to the side, and he seemed to have blacked out. He stood there with a semi-shocked face.

Fire got up and walked outside. He saw The Rocketeer and Shadow "You told him didn't you?" he asked with a sad tone.

Fire looked down for a moment before he levitated Shadow up and brung him inside, he made a gesture for the Rocketeer to follow. He took Shadow to his room and placed him on the bed and walked out. He walked back to the Rocketeer. "He does that when he cannot handle what is happening in the real world. It allows him to fix his mind."

Fire sat where Anarchy was, she appeared asleep. He picked up his drink and sipped on it. Praying he is not curious on what he is drinking.

"well, when he snaps out of it, tell him the funeral is in 2 days" the rocketeer said

Fire looked down. He nodded and took another sip out of the drink. "I just cant believe this happened..." he said

"neither did i, i come back to life, only to see a close friend of mine die a few hours later"

Fire did not say anything for a while. "I'm getting worried about Shadow." he said finally, trying to change the subject.

"what has been wrong with him lately?" the rocketeer asked

"He went into a mode I've never seen him in a little while ago. The thing that caused it was Rain. To him it looked like she was going to chose this Rick guy over him." he took a sip "And if she does, he may go overboard. Having Weiss die and Rain abandoning him.....would crush him entirely." he said taking another sip

Rain had arrived back at the club with Rick , stepping in to find Fire and some strange man she hadn't met.

"Hey," she greeted casually, as though it was normal to be wearing pajamas and be caked in dried blood. "Do you know where Shadow is?"

She noticed their grim faces and she looked concerned. "What's up?"

As Ten passed Rain on his way out, he looked sadly at rain. "Weiss is dead" he mumbled and made his way over towards Alten's car.

"Weiss?"

Isn't that the girl Shadow was dating?

She sighed and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure Weiss was a great friend..."

Even though Rain felt like she should hate Shadow and Weiss, she didn't. She had been dead, and Shadow had moved on. It wasn't Weiss's fault-it wasn't even a big deal. Kind of.

Fire looked at Rain "He is in the room over there." he said pointing to the room he left Shadow in "He may still be blacked out though..." he said.

"its getting dark" he walked over to the corners of the roof and lit some torches

Fire walked out side and grabbed what shadow had bought and put it in the fridge.

Rain carefully opened the door to Shadow's room.

"You there?" she whispered, worried.

Shadow laid on the bed staring up at the ceiling. "Yeah" he said back in a slightly sad tone.

The shadow monsters, or "shades" as David called them, were gone as quickly as they came. They disapeared without a trace, not even a single stray shadow from what used to be before. Of course, there was still the vast amounts of destruction up and down every street, as well as the now eerily empty ghost city.

 

But if you told this story to anyone else who had not seen it themselves, they'd think you're crazy...

 

- Ghost

Ghost closed his old, beat-up journal, the leather covers cracked and faded. David was lying by his side, curled up within the covers, safe from the dangers of the world. At this small rest of serenity, Ghost had an opportunity to ask himself some questions.

What was going on in this world? Why can't things be simple anymore? Enemies to allies, allies to enemies... It just didn't make sense anymore...

"Great... one day I'm here, the next, a entire citywide catastrophe..." Hiccup kicked a stray soda can that happened to be in his path. "What is wrong with this city?"

The dragon followed behind, his head bowed down sulkily.

Hiccup happened to come across a nightclub... which strangely still had power... Looking over at Toothless, and his ear twitch, it seemed like there was... people?

He ran up to the door, kicking away the debris cluttered in the doorway, and knocked on the door.
