"Hi!" she said, glad to have a distraction.

"Oh, hi."

Shadow decided to just stay out of her way might be better. He walked out of the club and started down the side walk. "This is such bullcrap...." he thought. He could feel his mind starting to twist and distort, turning him into a more angry and insane version of himself.

"No idea, ask her," said Rain with a laugh, gesturing to Sam. "Sam, this is...oh, I just forgot your name, I'm sorry! Plague, isn't it?"

"Yep... Or Scipio when I'm not bonded to the symbiote. You're Rain, right?"

Plague could feel a strange energy coming from the club. He saw Shadow, but he didn't seem to be doing anything...

Shadow began to realize why he was here. Even if it was not the reason he at least had to say it. He teleported back and began to walk toward Rain, a rather sad expression on his face.

Rain nodded. "Okay, Scip-" She broke off when she saw Shadow and stood there awkwardly. "Scipio."

Plague looked back and turned around when he saw Shadow approaching. The energy grew closer, tugging at his Otherworldy powers to twist the world. He resisted and focused himself to keep himself in check.

"Somethings not right..."

[Chickey 383]

Shadow walked up to her. "Rain.....i'm really sorry...." he said as he hugged her. "This may be the last time i get to speak to you in my right mind, and i don't want to waste it."

[Mephala 2,633]

Rain just nodded a little and watched him get closer.

When he hugged her she choked up a little and hugged him tightly back. "Can't you stop it?" she asked quietly.

 

Sebastian was bored. Leaning back he started at the sky and finally decided to just go to see Rain, regardless of whether or not she was asleep.

Seeing that Shadow was approaching, Sebastian blended unnoticed into a dark corner and watched. If things got messy he hoped that Scipio would at least start the attack.

When Shadow got a little too close for comfort he felt the power in him already starting but he instead reached in to hug her. When she hugged him back he felt his body tighten.

What is with her? First she tells him she wants him to die and now she's hugging him??

Sam was too busy looking at the sky to have noticed any of the others talking to her. She shook her head and looked back at the group.

 

"Ah!" she squeaked. "Oh, it's just you guys. Sorry I was distracted by... something... Anyway, I'm Sam! Nice to meet you, Mister Plague!" She called toward the receding figure.

 

She turned to Shadow who was hugging Rain.

 

"See Miss Rain? I told you!"

Rain nodded and chewed her lower lip as a tear rolled down her cheek. She knew there was nothing she could do now as she leaned her head against his chest, being to short to do it anywhere else.

 

Sebastian heard the blood pounding in his ears. Spite me one last time before you die, huh, Shadow?

[Chickey 383]

"I'm sorry...." he said, a dark power was beginning to start to infect him, it wanted him to hurt her. He pulled away, there were a few tears in his eyes. "I'm really sorry for everything" he said as he began to fade away.

"Oh yes, I can tell," Sam swayed side to side. "Do you like music, mister?"

Rain just stared at him. "Bye..."

 

Sebastian decided now was time to appear and he stalked towards them. ^Well well well,^ he said, and Rain spun around. She was crying and he instantly felt bad for his harsh tone of voice.

^Oh, whatever,^ he said as he hugged her too. ^Are you okay?^

"Yeah," she said, muffled by the fabric of his shirt. "Everything's okay..."

Sebastian looked at Scipio. ^He try to cause any trouble?^ He then noticed the little girl and smiled at her.

Plague looked at Sam.

"Yeah, all kinds so long as they carry a good beat and rhythym."

He then turned to Seb.

"No but..."

He was still anxious...

"I love music!" she cried in joy. "It's too bad it's kind of rare around here..."

 

She sulked for a moment.

 

"Oh, hello Mister Sebascio-Sebatrai- Mister Seb!" Sam managed after struggling with with the name. "You must like it here too!"

Shadow reappeared at the club, in the main office. his instantly fell to the ground, he was trying to reject the darkness, instead it only caused him pain. "No stop, i don't want to be a monster again!" he said to no one, begging. His vision was starting to fade "Someone.....help me...."

He looked down at Sam. ^I guess you could say that,^ he chuckled. ^Now what should I call you?^

"That's Sam," said Rain. "She was showing me around."

"I was showing her my favorite rock! Do you want to see it?" Sam asked quite excited as usual.

In the dark club, a figure approached Shadow.

 

"*ahem* Gentleman?" a voice sounded from the darkness. "You seem to need some help, anything I can do?"

 

The voice stepped into the light, revealing the Egotist.

Shadow was unable to answer, instead he clenched his head in pain.

"Intriguing," the Egotist said in a bored tone. "I feel so bad for you, a headache, you truly suffer. Now, tell me what is wrong, mental collapse? That's what is seems like to me."

Shadow tried to talk between the pain "It's trying to take over me" he said.
