Yeah, I was thinking "The Family of Blood" episode of Doctor Who while drawing this.  The fury of the Time Lord and all that.

It's funny how many times in my sketch book he comes out as angry and wild.  The episodes that stand out the most in my head while drawing his expressions tend to be the moments where he faces down horrors, usually dangerous beings that had the misfortune of drawing his ire.  Silence in the Library, Family of Blood, the Waters of Mars, all resound the image best said in the later episode... the Time Lord Victorious.

 

One of these days I will have to draw a more whimsical image.  After all, the moments we see the Doctor unbound in rage are greatly outnumbered by the Doctor who finds wonder in all the universe.
