The Land of Equestria is a strange place. The residence may be friendly, but not all of them. Now, this land of peace will be getting a rude awakening, as they are about to be met by the rest of the universe.

Optyx walked the planes of the barren wasteland that used to be his world. The man-hunters came in numbers, wave after wave. We were not prepared for a full scale attack. It didn't seem like any pony was. Now, for all Optyx could see was desert and destroyed buildings for miles. Optyx hoped that one day things would get better, that he wouldn't have to fight for his life everyday. Hope was all he could hold I to anymore. Blue Optyx heard ringing coming from above him, Optyx looked up and stared at a blue light that was coming towards him.

Traveller walked through the desolate city. It was lifeless. He seemed to be the only happy one among thousands of shut in, depressed ponies. He walked over the rubble. Looking up, a blue light descended upon him. He jumped back, curious as to what it was.

Sole flew through the ashes of a ruined city. All he saw was sadness and death, and he couldn't bare it. So much death... So much sadness... So much destruction... And for what? he looked up at the night sky sadly, expecting to see stars. But there was something strange... It seemed like a purple light was growing brighter... And getting closer. "A... Purple star?" He wondered

Aaron was looking through the ruble of his home. Canterlot castle was destroyed, Luna and Celestia were... gone. The giant machines left none in their wake. Eliminating all they saw as guilty, which turned out to be feeling beings. The lucky ones were able to hide in the underground. But he was just a scavenger, looking for something to help him survive. But he heard something. Something terrifying. They were coming again. He began to run and was looking for something to help, but to no avail. He looked to the sky in look of a miracle. A passing Pegasus, a sign, something. And within seconds, he got one...

The object came crashing down and left a blue aura that lighted up the sky for miles. Every man-hunter would see that, he's have to start running if he wanted a chance to get away, but he was curious. He would have a little time, Optyx walked toward the blue light, as he got closer the object appeared to be a ring? Optyx got closer and as he did the ring started to glow brighter and began to float.

"Emotion detected" A voice came from a ways away, how had the got here so fast!? The manhunters came closer and raised their weapons. The ring sprung to life and attached itself to Optyx's hoof, he tried to get it off, but it kept glowing and glowing brighter. "What's happening!?" Optyx yelled before he was consumed by the blue light.

Traveller moved slowly closer to the blue object. The object had made a sort of bubble of blue. Man hunters would be there shortly. He grabbed the ring, but before he could it attached itself to him. 'Wh..' He began before a mechanical voice cut him off.

 

'Pony found.' It said in a cold metallic voice. Traveller ran into the nearest building as the Manhunter came closer. A blue orb surrounded Traveller. 'Wait-' he began before it devoured him into an unknown place.

Sole jumped back as what appeared to be a meteorite crashed down right in front of him. He knew the man hunters would be there in seconds and was ready to run or fight if necessary. But before he could do either, a purple light illuminated the darkness. It was coming from the fallen meteor. But... It wasn't a meteor... It was a ship of some sort. And soon a small object floated out and toward him. "A... Ring?" He mumbled, as he saw it up close. But before he could react, the purple ring shot forward and slipped onto his middle talon. And soon he was enveloped in a sphere of purple and sent hurtling to an unknown destination.

Optyx opened his eyes and found himself in some sort of strange place. This was not Equestria, this was some sort of Eutopia, fresh water flowed down rocks and life was prospering.

"You are a free now" A voice from behind Optyx stated

Optyx turned around slowly to find someone and something he'd never seen anything like. "Who are you?" Optyx asked

"I am Sister Sercy you are on the planet Odym, the home world of The Blue Lantern Corps"

The manhunters were coming and the yellow light was coming to him at incredible speeds. And suddenly, a ball of a brilliant golden light was before him.

"Aaron of Equestria. You have been recognized as a being to instill fear in others in your past. Thus, you have been selected as a suitable wielder."

The ring slipped itself onto his hand and he could feel the power course through him. So much knowledge was flooding him. A manhunter had landed next to him. Its beeping sound emanating from it turned into a language he could understand.

"... bject sighted. Beginning arrest."

Yeah. not happening. Before he could react he was taken from his world and flung through space, away from his adopted home.

"What?...Blue Lan...Odym? I don't understand"

"You've held onto your hope for a brighter future since the down of your planet, therefore the ring has chosen you to wield it and the power of Hope"

Optyx took another glance at the scenery

"Come please. You must charge your ring"

Optyx was led to a giant Lantern that glowed blue with an intense light, "Go ahead begin the oath"

"Oath?" Optyx objected, "I don't know any oath"

"You misunderstand....the ring will do it for you"

Traveller opened his eyes. He was in a place he had never seen before. His ears were ringing. He saw a cut on his arm. 'Oh my god...I was shot.' He whispered quietly. A voice spoke to him.

 

'Welcome to Odym. Home of the Blue Lanterns. You have been chosen for your refusal to give up hope and happiness.' The voice said. Traveller looked around.

When sole opened his eyes again he was standing on a very different planet. "Whoa... Where the hell am I?" He said in confusion, looking around before suddenly hearing a voice. "Greetings sole, you have been chosen by the indigo ring because of your compassion and kindness for other beings. No please, follow me." A strange woman said, suddenly appearing out of nowhere. "Whoa! Who are you? And what is this ring? And where are we going?!" He asked, as the woman just smiled "that is a power ring of compassion, it chose you. And my name is indigo, I am the leader of the indigo lantern corp. now if you'll follow me to get your ring charged I'll explain everything." She said, as sole reluctantly followed with a nod.

Aaron awoke to find himself in an odd place. Another planet... again.

"Why the hell does this keep happening to me."
But he got that answer all to quickly. Standing before him was a purple skinned human he did not recognize.

"Oh, a human. How joyous."
He spoke in a sarcastic tone.

"Arise, human."
He did as he was told. and stood before him.

"Alright, I'm not too fond of your species so lets get this out of the way. You have been chosen by the ring for instilling great fear. Whether it be intentional or not. Your ring will protect you, so on and so forth."
He didn't seem that interested in Aaron.

"And to finish things off, I am called Sinestro, your leader."
Aaron gave a respectful bow.

"Greetings, I am Aaron."
"Well, you seem to be a better one than that other one. Come, I'll take you to recharge your ring."

"What do you mean my ring will do it for me?"

"Just close your eyes and let your ring take control" Sister Sercy explained

Optyx closed his eyes and took a deep breathe, he put the ring closer to the battery. Suddenly, he drifted from his mind and his eyes lit up with blue light. "In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full, our souls ignite! When all seems lost in the War of Light, look to the stars, for hope burns bright!" The ring started glowing furiously and started sucking in the energy from the larger battery. Optyx fell to his knees and started coughing. His eyes returned to color and Optyx was now in control of his body. "What the Hell was that?" Optyx asked

"The ring finished the oath for you and chargers itself"

Optyx turned around to see a blue short man

"I am Ganthet, one of the leaders of The Blue Lantern Corps, the other Sayd, is helping another pony that just flew in like you"

Sinestro led Aaron to the main power battery to have his ring charged. Once that is done, Aaron will be sent back to Equiis. From what Sinestro has said, the manhunters are an enemy to all life. Therefore an enemy of the sinestro corps. as well. They arrived at their destination and Aaron gazed upon the obelisk that was the power battery.

"Hold out your ring."
Aaron did as Sinestro ordered and he began the oath.

"In blackest day, in brightest night. Beware your fears, made into light. Let those who try to stop what's right, burn like my power. Sinestro's Might!"

The battery began to glow along with our rings. Within seconds, Aaron felt more power than he had ever felt surge through his body. Sinestro turned to Aaron and merely said, "Welcome to the corps."

Sole was quickly led to a room with a strange purple staff that glowed brilliantly. "What's with the stick?" He asked, as indigo sighed "it's not just some ordinary stick, it's a staff of the indigo corp. you can charge your ring with this, and then use that power to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Would you like that?" She asked, as sole smiled and nodded "of course! I want to help everyone. And if it means using this ring and joining your little group here then I'll do it." He said, making indigo smile "good, then place the ring near the staff and let it control your actions and recite the oath for you. It may seem strange at first, but it's very quick and simple." She said, as sole did as he was directed. Soon his mouth began to move on it's own as he spoke "Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur, Natromo faan tornek wot ur. Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur, Taan lek lek nok--Formorrow Sur!" He recited in a strange and foreign toung, before regaining control of his body. And when he did he felt an unbelievable amount of power surge through him. "I... Can use this to save everyone. With this power, I can make it so that no one has to suffer ever again." He said with a smile, before indigo nodded "welcome to the indigo corps. Now, it's time for your training." She said, beckoning him to follow again. With a smile he followed "training huh? Now your speaking my language." He said

"The Blue Lantern Corps...? A battery?...Powered by what? I want to know more"

"The battery of our planet is fueled by the hope of the entire universe"

Optyx looked to the skies, there were two moons and other planets were visible. Optyx looked to his ring to see energy coursing through his hoof and arm.

"The first Blue Lantern was Sayd, after the Green Lanterns kicked him out for his belief in other powers, he founded this planet Odym and named it the Home world of the Blue Lanterns. Saint Walker was then recruited into the Corps, you can ask him all your questions later, right now you've something important to do"

"This power... it feels..."
"Like it all could be yours."

Aaron was loving this. He could save his new home from those monsters. He could give them something. A future.

"Tell me, Sinestro. For this power, what must I give you?"
Sinestro had a sneer like look on his face.

"Nothing. Just give your life to the corps., and guard your sector from any who would threaten your will."

Aaron looked to the ring and back to Sinestro.

"Is there anypo- anybody I should meet?"
You are free to mingle amongst your fellow lanterns. For now, I must take my leave. Lyssa Drak will be training you on how to use your new power."

Sole was quickly led to a strange looking alien man wielding a staff. "Munk, we have a new recruit, and He must be trained as soon as possible." Indigo, said, as munk simply nodded and turned to sole. "A griffon? I am surprised one of your species could show such compassion. But no matter, let the training commence." He said, as his staff began to glow.

Aaron landed on the ground and continued his search on foot. His flight was... clumbsy to say the least. He turned a corner and he found a woman. She looked human. But upon closer inspection she was not her skin was blueish and she appeared to have a book attached to her wrist. She turned around and Aaron got a closer look at her.

"Who goes there?!"

Aaron came from out of the shadows and gave her a respectful bow.

"What is this? A human, let alone one with manners. Such an oddity to find traits as these in your kind."
"I assure you, I only have respect for my betters. I do not wish to disturb but, I was told that you could help me with my new powers."
She began to look him over, an analytical eye on her.

"You are scronny, not very intimidating."
"I assure you, where I come from I didn't need to be intimidating, I just looked the part."
"Ah, a mistake. It happens from time to time. Very well, I will teach you what you need to know."

She closed her book and looked to Aaron.

"Let us begin."

((I'll just skip Crimson's introduction into the corp. and start with the oath.))

 

crimson followed Atrocitas to the red lantern power battery, gazing upon it with a mixture of awe and curiosity. Atrocitas stopped in front of it and looked over to Crimson. "Now...if you truly wish to be one of us...lift your ring up to the battery and speak the oath..." he said with a steely gaze. Crimson nodded, taking a deep breath before trotting up to the massive red battery, and lifting his ring up to it. He was then surprised as verses he never knew of came out of his mouth.

 

"With blood and rage of crimson red,

Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,

Together with our hellish hate,

We'll burn you all--that is your fate!"

 

As soon as he finished the oath, both Crimson's and Atrocitas's rings began to glow, and a massive ocean of immense power flooded his body. Crimson stumbled back in surprise, giving Atrocitas a shocked look. "This...power...it's...incredible...how can my father ever hope to stand against me now?" he mused with a devious smile.

 

Atrocitas gave Crimson a dry, yet amused chuckle. "In due time, all in due time...you will have your revenge soon...but first, you must meet your fellow lanterns, if you are to be one of us, you must know your allies..." he said. Crimson nodded. "Good point...I guess I'll just go mingle a bit then..." he said, before going to do just that.

Time passed as Aaron learned the ways of the ring. The constructs he brought were terrifying, but amongst the sinestro corp that was not anything special. But where he excelled at was his abilities of intangibility, invisibility, mind control. After his training, Aaron stood before his master and bowed to her.

"You now know all the abilities of our Corps. Now you must find your purpose and go forth to destroy your enemies."

"Yes, Thank you Lyssa Drak. You have proven to be a great ally and Friend."
"Uhm, y-yes. Now begone. I have things to do."
Aaron did as he was told and left her to her work. BUt when he came out he found another one of the corps. A truly terrifying member.

It sent shivers of terror up his spine. And when it spoke.

"Soooo," that voice was deep and echoed through his being. "Fresh meeaaaaat."
If the ring hadn't taken care of it, Aaron would have soiled himself.

"A mission back on my home world?"

"You must bring back hope to your world and help the people of your world thrive"

Optyx nodded, "But I have no idea how to use my ring a power"

"If you trust in the power of hope your ring will guide you"

Optyx nodded once more and let Ganthet teleport him

Sole took a deep breath and stood calmly as munk faced him with a smile. "Very good, you have learned to use your ring fairly well. Your skills seem to lie in your constructs, teleporting and shields. There is much more to learn, but for now you have learned more then enough to assist your home world from the invaders. If you use your compassion, and the compassion of those around you, you cannot fail." He said, before both bowed to each other. Suddenly, indigo landed next to them. "It seems it is time for you to return home. Here is your staff and remember to use the power of your compassion." She said, handing sole a staff. With a smile sole watched as indigo in asked him in a blanket of purple light, before disappearing in a flash. He was returning home to save equestria.
