I haven't seen a thread for this, so I thought I should make one...

Loadout is an indie, Free-2-Play, online 3rd person shooter created by Edge of Reality, and is available on Steam. The core mechanic of this game is being able to create your own weapons. Despite being Free-2-Play, it is not at all Pay-2-Win. You create weapons using an in-game currency called "blutes", which are earned by playing full matches based on your experience. Blutes can be used to purchase weapon parts such as barrels, scopes, magazines, triggers, stocks and payloads. Blutes cannot be bought with real money. There is also another currency called "Spacebux", which can only be bought with real money, but is only used to purchase cosmetics to customize your character with, XP/blute boosts, etc.

Gamemodes:

 

Some of the gamemodes within Loadout are slight twists on the traditional deathmatch and capture the flag.

 

In Death Snatch, you kill enemies on the opposing team, much like a traditional deathmatch, but you actually score by picking up vials which they drop upon death. You can also pick up your teammates' vials to prevent the enemy from scoring.

 

In Jackhammer, you capture the enemy's hammer and bring it back to yours, like capture the flag. However, the hammer is also a powerful melee weapon which can be used to kill enemies, increasing the hammer's value. The higher the hammer's value, the more points it's worth upon capture.

 

In Blitz, control points appear one by one across the map, and each team has to capture a certain number of them. The more players standing near a point, the faster it will capture.

 

In Extraction, one player on both teams is assigned "the collector", who has to pick up elements called "blutonium" and drop them off at one of the grinder bins scattered across the map to score points. Should a collector be killed, another one is assigned.

 

I've personally been having a lot of fun with this game, and I was hoping some others have as well. You can post stuff like your weapons, your customized characters, your in-game experiences, or just your thoughts on this rather fun game.

Personally I love the hay out of this game. I play this game everyday and I can't get enough of it

 

My favorite weapons right now are my assault rifle with pyro ammo and my sniper rifle with slug bullets.
