Why does everyone hate on Meghan?

Same reason everyone hates the president for the government doing stupid things. Same reason that people hate any figure head of anything rather than the actual deciding body. She is a figure head, and therefore an easy target for criticism and critique should anything go wrong.  I mean, she doesn't really do anything more than figure head and lead story board anymore.

Ahem the Brony Analysis Digi has over 80,000 subscribes.  So yes, they do take MLP seriously.  For better or for worse.

It is annoying and tedious for people to act like MLP is a magical thing, that makes them feel special, only to use "well you know it's a kid show"

at the first drop of a hat because it's a get out of jail free card.

 

Now on to Aunt Megan, a woman who I believe is a superior successor to Aunt Faust. I love Megan, I do,  She's awesome, but lets not act like she can't fumble.  E.G.

And Yes EG wasn't that bad,

but saying something wasn't that half bad means half of it is crap.  True or false?

I choose to adore Megan because Faustions rub me the wrong way.

I'm not so blinded by my out look as to think Megan is the second coming. 

I mean literally she kinda is seeing as how she's the head writer now,

but you know what i mean.

Wait, people actually take this seriously?

 

Okay, my last post was a joke because I think the only reason to dislike Meghan is a deep seeded hatred for outstanding quality.  She has written 12 episodes so far and only Power Ponies even comes close to being bad.  And that one was a collaboration, so it's a little hard to see who is responsible for that.

 

I don't care if she said "every girl wants to be a princess", she has shown herself to be a brilliant writer deserving nothing but our praise.

 

While on the subject of her talking about princesses, do you want to know the context of that line?  Here is the full quote from her:

So...the fandom complains about Meghan making Twilight a princess out of nowhere.  Then, when see explains herself, they take her explanation out of context to senselessly bash her. P!nk, can you handle this one?

I don't understand the dislike of her, I actually like most of the episodes she has writing credit on. Actually, I frikkin love some of them to be honest.

 

I pay no attention to Twitter or any other social media, in fact I refuse to join them out of a personal deep-seated hatred for them, but that's another story. So she can troll you peeps who live on those sites until the cows come home, and take everything so seriously. I'll sit on the sidelines and find the ruffled feathers the cast and crew causes funny.

 

I think people let their headcannons get a little too carried away in this fandom, and if the characters behave even the slightest bit different from their mental image, you better run because there's going to be drama. Boy I can't wait until Vinyl talks, and it isn't Jessi "Nowacking"...

I suspect it is nothing more than S3 being widely seen as lackluster, the sudden changes (Twilicorn and EQG) and her tendency to make some indiscretions on twitter.

It makes people afraid that the show they like will become garbage.

 

Personally, the only thing that I found suspect that Meghan did was promoting Simple Ways as a 'wonderful Rarity episode.' Putting aside even my personal antipathy towards the episode it was not as good as Manehattan.
