Times saw Sapphire walk away and looked into the fire. He could see she probably wanted to be alone. Times pulled out his saber and grabbed his rock. He began sharpening it and stabbed it into the ground. He yawned and lay'd down looking up at the stars.

Sapphire climbed a little into the tree, only to the 1st branch though. She looked at times and started crying, a small cry, she then looked up at the sky, looking at all the little stars

 

Embers grinned, pulling out a feather to right with, he grabbed his book and started to wright in it

He looked up and saw sapphire, she looked like she was crying. He stood up and walked to her. "Are you ok?" He asked as he took off his helmet. He frowned and looked up to her. Times saw that she was looking at the stars. He looked up and saw the red star. Times sighed.

Sapphire looked away from times, not talking for awhile untill he said "Uh...No...Im fine, Ill be fine...When does are shift end?" She tilted her head and looked down at him

 

Embers yawned, climbing back down the tree and going to were he could get some rest. He smiled

"I will take over the night shift, you go sleep." Times said pointing at the empty tent. Times looked up at her with a small smile. Times went back to the fire and sat down. He took his saber out of the ground and sheathed it. Times looked at the dying fire and put in another log.

Sapphire noded and smiled back "Thanks, Ill wake up early though" She looked at the sky, then back down to the tent he had pointed at and started walking over. She opened it and climbed in, closing her eyes and tucking her book next to her head so she would not lose it

Times looked at the fire and remembered how Sapphire lost her flower. Could Sapphire losing the flower, be the cause of her crying. It does seem ever since the stallion stole her flower she has had a low moral. Times thought to himself. Maybe I can get her another flower, and raise moral. Times thought before getting up.

Sapphire layed there, feeling cold. She pulled a blanket over her and looked around. She could still see times shape near the fire, and she was wondering what time it was

 

Embers closed his eyes and started sleeping, knowing full well he would have to get up early

Times saw the flower patch and flew over to it. He looked at it and saw a flower that wasn't like the others. It was large and seemed to have a strange rainbow like pattern. Times looked at it and thought to himself. Perfect, now to sneak it into her tent so she doesn't know its me, don't want her to get the wrong Idea.

Sapphire let out a last yawn, proped her head up, put on the blanket and closed her eyes. She then drifted off into sleep, in her dream there was everypony she had loved before the war

 

Embers sighed and he got back up, he looked around and yawned, he grabbed his book and got out of the tent

Times picked the flower and flew back to camp. He looked into Sapphire's tent and saw she was sleeping He saw her book and lay'd the flower on it. He walked away and sat back down by the tent and put on his helmet. He had a small smile as he looked into the dancing fire.

Sapphire kept sleeping, she was having fun in this dream. She was with her mom and dad, they were going around picking up flowers. She laughed as she played tag with them

 

Embers walked out of his tent and into the moon light, smiling as he did. It was almost dawn

Times took off his gauntlet and looked at his watch, 4 AM Times thought as he put back on his gauntlet. He looked at the setting moon. "The time of the Celestials will be here soon... " Times said. What Times ment was; Morning is coming. Times pulled out one of his flintlocks and looked at it.

Sapphire batted her eyes, yawning and slowly getting up. She looked down at her book and tilted her head "Huh? Another flower?" She smiled and picked it up, puting it in her mane

 

Embers climbed up a tree, he could feel a fait breeze, and the tree was shaking

Times yawned and put his flintlock away. He looked at the fire and stood up. He looked at the horizon and saw the last bit of the moon slowly disappear. Times saw one of the soldiers come out of the tent. "What are you doing, you can sleep until 6." Times said to the soldier. The soldier looked at Times and said "I think I should take over the shift and let you get some rest." Times shook his head "I'm fine, thank you though." Times said

Sapphire walked out of the tent, her new flower in her hair. She smiled and walked over to times "Hey times, do you know where this flower came from? I dunno, I found it in my tent" She chuckled and looked down at the book she had takin with her, it seemed to be a good luck charm

"Nope" Times said looking at her. He smiled under his helmet. "It looks beautiful though" Times said looking at the fire. He looked back at her and asked "So you sleep well?" Times stood up and looked over to the flower patch. good job Times, good job. Times thought to himself.

Sapphire giggled and looked at him, blushing slightly "Yeah...It does look really nice, I wanna thank whoever did it" She smiled and sat down "So, when are we going then?"

 

Embers hoped around, he could see some more trees, not enuff to though. He sighed and climbed down one

Times looked at her and said "We will be leaving at 6 am, which is in 2 hours." Times walked to where they hid the cannon and pulled it out of the ditch. He went over to tent that had the other 2 soldiers. "Sapphire can you bring me the bugle its on the cannon. " Times asked as he looked at Sapphire

Sapphire yawned and grabed it and gave it to times "Sure, there you go" She chuckled and smiled "Yep...Dunno who gave me a flower, it was really nice though"

 

Embers walked from tree to tree with his backpack. He pulled out his sword and looked at it. He laughed

Times blew the bugle and the soldiers came up saying "Ok ok we are up, I was hoping I never needed to hear another bugle after the academy." Times looked at the soldier. "It wasn't really an academy , more of a boot camp." One of the soldiers rolled his eyes. Times walked to the cannon and put away the bugle

Sapphire coverd her ears as he blew it, then looked around. She yawned and stood up, looking at the ponys around her as they came out of there tents

 

Embers hoped up one last tree as he could see that they were all waking up, he was to late. He jumped down and stared at times

Times looked up from the cannon and looked around. He saw the stallion out of the corner of his eye but he just thought it was his eyes playing tricks on him. He pushed up his face guard and looked at the two soldiers. "You two put out the fire, the sun is rising we don't need it anymore." Times said.

Sapphire looked around, she could see ponys walking around. She grabbed a stick and looked at it. She smiled and pulled out her book, waiting to see if she would have time to read it before they left

 

Embers darted away from the tree, times had seen him. but that wasnt all a bad thing

Times watch as the Soldiers drowned the fire, then suffocated it, then drowned it again. Times took off his gauntlet and checked if it was cold. "Ok, its cold so now we just need to pack up the tents." Times said. The soldiers began packing the tents and putting them away.
