Sapphires eyes slowly drooped as she kept reading. She got to just that right feeling where she could go to sleep very easaly. It had been a long day and she started to wonder. She closed her eyes and slumped over. But this time she did not have a night mare, it was a good dream

Times did not sleep well, the screams of those that he had killed haunted his dreams.

Times awoke and stood up he took off his helmet and scratched his head. He looked down at the fort. He was surprised the cloud didn't drift away from it why he was sleeping. Times flew down and put back on his helmet. He yawned and thought to himself as he watch the sun rise.

Sapphire slowly woke up. She shook her head and smiled. She looked down at the book and put it on the bed, then made the bed. She walked outside with a yawn, she had plans for this day, and she was going to see them through to the end if she had too. But her only plan now was to take a walk

Times flew up to a collection of clouds and saw that they seemed to make a path. Times had nothing better to do so he jumped from cloud to cloud. The path began to go over the forest and the clouds began coming closer and closer so Times was able to walk across them now. Times noticed a large  open area in the middle of the  forest and then saw that there was a pony inside it. Times flew down to investigate.

Sapphire smiled and looked around ash she walked out the gate. She had gotten a few new pages for her book and was looking forward to using the to wright about what was here. She looked around the forest, and hey eyes were filled with awe at what she was seeing around her

Times landed and saw that the pony was a wounded Celestial. When the Celestial saw Times he said "GET AWAY! I don't want to die!" Times looked at him and said "I'm not going to hurt you" Times came closer and the Celestia crawled away, leaving a trail of blood. "Please I have a family!!!" the Celestial said. Times looked at him and said "I'm not going to hurt you, if anything I want to help you. I'm a medic." The Celestial tried standing up to run but he fell to his knees. Times walked closer and wished he brought his saddle bag.

Sapphire slowly steped into the forest. She smiled as she looked around at the trees and all the birds that were flying around. She slowly got her notebook out and started wrighting things down, or drawing the deer that were running around. She grinned as she had not done this in awhile

The Celestial continued to crawl away from Times "Fine Die her in the forest" Times said before turning around a starting to walk away. "Wait..." The Celestial said. Times turned back around and said "I thought so" Times put the Celestial onto his back and walked back to the fort.

Sapphire walked into the field and layed down. She smiled as she stared at the clouds, and also saw a few birds. She chuckled as she sat up and looked around. She got up and sat on a near by tree. She slowly opend her book as she looked out at the fields with a smile

Times carried the Celestial through the forest only stopping to let some deer run by. Times tried to go as fast as he can but slow enough so that he doesn't throw off the Celestial. Why am I doing this? Is it because he is wounded? or is it because he said that he has a family. Maybe its just because I'm a medic and helping others is what I do... Times thought as he stopped when he heard the Celestial say "W-Who is that" Times turned his head and saw Sapphire in the field. Times continued walking to the fort and replied to the Celestial "She is a friend" Times said as he thought of a way to sneak the Celestial into the fort.

Sapphire was to ingaged in sceching the birds around her to see times. She smiled as she looked up at the sky, and all the clouds. By the time she had looked back down they had already past, and she took no note of them as she wonderd deeper into the forest, feeling like a filly

Times went through a back entrance and snuck his way into his quarters. Times lay'd the Celestial onto the bed and grabbed his saddle bag. Times opened it and pulled out a syringe. "Hold on this will only sting a bit" Times injected the Celestial with morphine. "So whats your name" Times said as he searched through his saddle bag. "What..." The Celestial said. "I said what is your name" Times replied, "Oh Crescent" The Celestial said. Times pulled out a thread and needle and began sewing Crescent's wounds. "i just noticed how Ironic it is that somepony named Crescent is a Celestial." Times said as he pulled out some bandages and patched up Crescent's wounds. "yeah I guess your right" Crescent said.

Sapphire looked out at the trees as she climbed one. She noticed something on the grass, at first thinking it was just her eyes. But then she found a trail of blood coming from somewhere she had been. She started following it and found it leading to the fort, so she walked after it

"Ok well you will be numb for a few hours but still don't try and walk it may make your wounds worst." Times said as he wiped some blood off of his gauntlets. "Why did you help me?" Crescent asked. "Because you were wounded and I could just let you lay there and die... I'm a Lunar not a monster. Also can you keep this between you and me I have a reputation to keep." Times said as he put away his medical supplies. "Cross my heart and hope to fly stick a..." Crescent said before being interrupted by Times "please don't that annoys me so much." Times said looking at him

Sapphire stood in the forest a few more seconds, injoying what she guessed would be her last few seconds for at least a day before opening the back door and seeing that the trail led to...times room? She tilted her head and walked over "Uh...TImes? are you in there" She said as she knocked on the door

"hide" Times whispered before Crescent hide under the bed. "Uhh yes" Times said before hiding the blood on his bed under the blankets. Times opened the door and looked at Sapphire "Yes, do you need something." Times said. He was lucky he had his helmet to hide his nervous face.

Sapphire smiled as she opend the door, she noteced a few of his tools out "Uh...I just saw some blood coming in here, And I was wondering if you needed help...I have also trained a little to be a medic, not much" She face hoofed "Im still really bad, just wondering if you were OK"

"Yeah I'm fine just... cut myself" Times said hoping she would believe his lie. Times started sweating and his heart was racing. "So is that all." Times turned around and saw that he still had some of his blood covered tools out and thought. Oh crap I forgot to put them away Times thought before looking back to Sapphire

Sapphire nodded "Sorry...Just thought I would make sure..." She blushed and steped out, closing the door behind her with a sigh she walked back out into the forest, still happy to be out, away from the war and all the blood that seemed to be going around the fort lately

Times sighed in relief and looked at the bed "ok you can come out now" Times said. Crescent crawled out from under the bed and lay'd back down on the bed. "What's her name" Crescent said. Times looked at him and said "Sapphire.... Her name is Sapphire." Times said before sitting down on a chair.

Sapphire slowly wonderd to a medow in the forest. She sat down and leaned back, laying down in the grass as she stared at the sky. Something had seemed off about times, she just shrugged it off as his shock of being cut. She slowly got back to her feet and started walking

Crescent looked at Times and said "So I heard her say your name was Times" Times looked at him took off his helmet. "Yes that is my name." Times said before putting his helmet onto the table. They were silent for a few minutes until Crescent asked a question "So.... Why did you join?" Times looked at him and said"I wanted revenge because some Celestials burned down my home and.... killed my dog." Times sighed and looked to the ground.

Sapphire closed her eyes and soon fell asleep, she was soon back awake after her normal nightmare. She sighed and picked herself up. She looked around and closed her book, then started walking over to where she had been when she had 1st found the blood trail

Times looked at Crescent. "Why did you join" Crescent looked up at the ceiling and said "I was drafted... Celestia has made it that any eligible pony over the age of 17 must join the military." Times stood up and thought about how many ponies that weren't even 19 he had killed because of the war. Times looked at the door. "I will be right back, if someone knocks on the door hide got it." Times said. Crescent nodded as he saw Times walk out the door.

Sapphire played in the medow for a little while more before turning and walking back to the fort. She yawned as she walked up to one of the walls and looked back out into the forest. She chuckled as she did this, because she was remembering when she had come here as a filly
