Sapphire looked back at times "Aye aye capton" She said as she hoped down from her perch on the wall. She grinned as she started walking out of the forest, she looked at it, wondering if the dark shadow was still there. She yawned as she looked back down to the ground

Times and the Soldier walked into the soldier. Times looked at him and said "Keep an eye out, Sapphire and I ran into a strange, but deadly creature last night." The soldier readied his musket. Times found it kinda weird how muskets seem to only be made for unicorns.

Embers saluted times and took a quick step back "Aye sir, sorry to get in your way" He said with a grin, although most of his face was coverd up by his bandanna. He took a step back into the line and looked at times

 

Sapphire looked over at times "It was one ungodly thing, thats for sure" She said as she turned her gaze to the sky

Times heard the soldier and looked at him. He noticed he was wearing a bandanna. "were you wearing that before we left?" Times asked. Times began to suspect something he looked at the soldier closely. "What is your name...." Times squinted his eyes and looked into the soldier's eyes.

Embers looked down at the ground "Im wearing a bandanna because I have a scar, and my name is Night Frost, sir" He hoped times wouldnt force him to take off his bandanna

 

Sapphire looked over at embers, she shrugged as she looked at times "Seemes fine to me"

Times looked at him and said "Don't we all have scars of some kind." Times said before looking forward. Times thought to himself. Something is off about this Night Frost. I should keep an eye on him. just in case. Times thought as he looked up at a tree with flowers.

Embers sighed happily, times had not seen through his disguise, nightfrost...Now that was a name embers could use. Of corse, now he wouldn't be able to take his bandanna off anywhere around times.

 

Sapphire kept walking as she looked around at all the flowers, she was happy to be moving

Times saw a butterfly land on his helmet but didn't really do anything to shake it off. He just continued walking. Times slowed down so he could keep an eye on everypony. He looked up at the birds who were flying over them. He smiled under his helmet and looked forward.

Sapphire took in all the life around them, it was true she was happy to be moving, but she also missed being able to take long walks in the forest

 

Embers looked around, he had his rifle slung over his shoulder, just incase anypony came over to him and found out his real name

Times took a deep breath of fresh air. He watched the butterflies fly and and listen to the birds sing. It felt like home to him. Growing up in a clocktower near the edge of town meant that there was tones of wild life. He missed his home and was happy that he can return.

Sapphire smiled as ponyville came into view. She looked over at times with a huge grin on her face "Hey times, it almost looks the same, almost" She said as she looked around her

 

Embers also looked around, he had no idea how long he would be able to pretend to be a lunar pony, so he was looking for a place to slip away

Times flew up and saw it. He then notice they had broken away from the path. "Wow looks like we didn't have to try and cross the river again, That is good." Times saw the Clocktower towering over the other buildings. "Mother of luna, Its still standing...." Times said to himself.

Sapphire smiled as she looked out at the river "Yeah, we should get to ponyville as fast as we can" She said as she looked over at times

 

Embers scoffed as he looked around him. He saw a few ponys that were around him. He looked back over to his rifle and smiled

Times landed next to Sapphire and looked at her. "Well lets get going then..." He said with a smile under his helmet. He took a step forward and then looked back at 'Night'. Times still didn't trust him. If they were going to see Luna, Night will stay outside, with the sentries.

Embers looked up at times, he did a fast saute and looked at times "Yes sir? How may I help you" He said as he looked over at times

 

Sapphire chuckled as she looked at times "Yeah,  We should get going" She said as she looked around and smiled over at times as she said that

Times looked at Night and said "Yes, Can you scout up ahead.... " Times said before looking back at Sapphire. "I would like you to see this..." Times pulled out the letter from before. and held it out for her to take it.

 

  Dear Commander Hay,

                     I have received your letter, and Request for you to instead of returning to the camp, Come to the Capital. I have a mission for you and 2 others to complete. A group of representatives from the Buffalo, Changeling, and Griphon nations will be arriving to discuss politics. Your mission is to protect the representatives. I want you leaving for the Everfree by tonight.

Sapphire looked at the letter before looking back up to times "Woh..Really? Its nice to know we have a few allys here and there, even if they arnt ponys" She said with a grin

 

Embers nodded "Yes sir" He said as he walked past the group with his rifle on his shoulder. He looked back at times then walked forward

Times looked at Sapphire and said "The Buffalo and Changelings agree with Luna's vision; Equality for all of the races" Times looked forward at Night. Times took off his helmet and looked at Sapphire. "The Griphons on the other end, they are in a huge battle over which side to take."

Sapphire looked over at times with a slight smile "If we could get the changelings on are side...That would be really nice" She chuckled as she looked around

 

Embers kept walking, waiting untill after he got out of times view to take of his bandanna and rest for alittle bit before walking on

"Some of the changeling population believe that it should be legal to marry ponies. So they can feed off the love but actually love the pony back." Times said looking at Sapphire. "The Buffalo want to have their stampeding grounds back." Times said looking out at the stretch of land between them and Ponyville.

Sapphire looked over at times "I think it should be legal to marry ponies if the pony is OK with it, i mean....It just seemes wrong that they wouldnt be able to" She nodded as she looked at the ground "I could see why the buffalo want there ground back, they were there first"

Times nodded and looked at her "I would find it weird if a Changeling came and flirted with me... But wouldn't be the weirdest thing to flirt with me." Times said sitting down and put back on his helmet. He looked behind him and  saw a deer looking at them. It was just standing there .

Sapphire laughed "Oh? You must tell me that story some time" She said with a smile on her face "It sounds very interesting" She said with a grin

 

Embers slowly put his bandanna back on as he walked back over to times. He saluted and said "Sir, I scouted out, there is nothing there"

Times stood up "Maybe when we get to ponyville" Times said smiling. He looked at Night "Then lets get moving then" Times said. Times began walking again and looked around the open field. Times saw a small pond and took off his helmet. The grass was up to his neck and the ground was hard.

Sapphire looked around as they went into the grass. She smiled as she looked around, she had a huge grin on her face. she felt like a filly, when everything was so big around you because you had such short legs

 

Embers fell back into line with the rest of the group as he looked down at the ground
