Orion sighed, and shook his head. "It isn't that easy." He said. "The queen's head is bigger than me, from what I can tell when she swallows the dragons who don't bring back food. For now, all we can do is wait and hope."

 

Clayton stopped outside of the great hall as he heard the conversation between Ruby and Celestia. "Damn it, what did that girl get herself into." He thought, as he entered, and put a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Come on, Ruby. It isn't worth it." He said.

Tenebra sighed "well if thats the case then it seems reasonable but still cruel why cant the queen who has a head larger than your body not go hunting for ponies herself"

 

"Not now clayton" Ruby said simply and awaited celestias reply.

Celestia felt her anger rise. "I would listen to your friend." She said. "The dragons may have families, but they are still a threat to Equestria. Unless you know somepony who can talk to dragons, then we have no other choice."

 

Dark noticed that Tempest was awake, and glanced at the pony. "Well, look who's up." She said.

 

The cyan pegesus heard the growl of a dragon and mentally cursed the gods for the position he was in. He glanced in the direction of the noise and noticed two dragoness's. "Um, hello." He said, evidently nervous. He didn't even know if the dragons could understand him, but he didn't know why he even tried.

 

(Yeah, ponies can't understand dragons. This is going to be interesting. )

Ruby rolled her eyes "fine then i'l try to an ally them then if your gonna sit on your throne all the time  " she really wanted to call Celestia a coward just then but decided againt's it for now at least. She spreaded her wings and flied towards the halls exit but before she left she said "might as well do something productive other than sitting your butt on a throne commanding your subjects to kill dragons or destroy a dragons nest" she exited the great hall finaly,

Clayton sighed, and glanced at Celestia. "I'm sorry." He said, before following Ruby out of the great hall.

 

Orion sighed, as he dropped his catch into the pit containing the waiting maw of the queen. "Probably because she's lazy." He whispered, as he landed on one of the outcroppings. in the side of the cavern. The dragon then laughed slightly.

Saphiria just waved at the pony not bothering if he can under stand her or not. "If you can understand use can you please tell us if you are okay" She asked the pony thinking say anything was a bad idea if the pony can't under stand her at all. She decided to spell out what she said on the ground in the dirt.

Tenebra landed next to Orion curious why he laughed but decided not to ask it though she did look around curiously.

 

Ruby looked at Clayton "well soo much for that why cant these ponies be smart enough to think about befriending dragons rather than killing them" she said a growl.

Tempest read what Sephira wrote on the ground, after managing to stand. He then glanced at the dragoness. "I should be fine." He wrote, thinking that that was probably the best means of communication. "Thanks for helping me, despite what my village has done. How long was I out?" The cyan pegesus then remembered what had transpired the night before. He knew he had to find that Night Fury before it was to late. " I swear on my parent's grave that I will not harm a dragon." He thought to himself.

 

Celestia sighed, as she stood up and trotted down to the docks. The ships were ready, and Luna would be training the recruits. She got on, and the ships set sail for Helheim's gate. She already left a letter for Tempest in his house, and the other letters to the recruits would be delivered by Luna.

 

A chubby dragon with short wings flew into the cavern and coughed up a small herring. A low roar echoed through the cavern, and a large head rose through the fog and closed it's jaws around the dragon before it could fly away. A few of the other dragons backed away from the edges, obviously scared. "I smell a newcomer. Where are you, little Night Fury?" She growled.

"I just found you and got you here it was her that healed you, and you were out for a few hours, I believe that ponies and humans can live together" She wrote and drew a arrow to Dark when she wrot she in the dirt. "Dragons are not all evil, some are nice like me and Dark"

Orion got in front of Tenebra protectively, shielding her from the queen's view. "I won't let her hurt you." He thought.

 

Clayton sighed, and shrugged. "I don't know." He said. "She's trying her best, though. It's not like she can please everypony." The unicorn then looked out into the ocean. "The best thing we can do is to play along. We won't be able to do anything until we think this through."

Tenebra then quickly looked around getting a little bit nervous "uh umm yes i'm new here what do you want?" she asked quitely.

 

Ruby sighed "well i guess your right but i can prove them not all Dragons are evil if i get a chance hopefully if i ever get a chance".

Clayton smiled slightly. "Well, while we wait for a opportunity to present itself, why don't we go for a walk. The sand feels great on the hooves." He said. "What do you say?"

 

Orion cast a suspicious glance at the queen. He didn't trust her, and didn't know how she would react to Tenebra. " Please let her be safe." He thought to himself.

Tempest glanced at Sephira, and felt a sense of happiness fill his body. "Everything we know about you guys... is wrong." He said, a slight pause in his voice. The cyan pegesus then shook his head to clear his thoughts. "There's something I need to take care of. I need you two to stay here. I doubt anypony has noticed my disappearance, but I don't want to take any chances. I should be able to bring fish tonight,so food shouldn't be an issuse."

 

The queen growled in amusement. "Oh, nothing aside from your loyalty." She said. "You're in my territory now, and you've seen what I do to those who cross me."

Tenebra was not sure wether to attack or not but she decided to not attack until the queen makes a first move "what do you want you pretty much treat the dragons here like their your little slaves which is unacceptable" she said backing away.

 

"Well a walk sounds nice so sure" Ruby said with a smile.

The queen held a emtionless expression. "Power is given to those who deserve it." She said. "I simply found a way to attain that power." She said, her voice echoing through the cavern. Most of the dragons had left out of fear.

 

Luna sighed as she trotted through the village. She had delivered the letters to the designated homes, and she honestly didn't know what to do. "I hope Tempest is ok. I haven't seen him all day." She thought.

Saphira nodded and watched as the pony left. "Not all ponies are against dragons either...maybe there is a chance for dragons and ponies to be together....but the queen might no agree" She shivered at saying the name so she didn't say the Queens real name

Tenebra gave the queen a low growl "yes but that power can also be taken from you why don't you get food for yourself you greedy bitch " Tenebra said fiercely with not hint of fear at all she spreaded her wings and took to the sky hinting a possible attack though she kept her distance,

Clayton smiled, and motioned for Ruby to follow him. "Come on. I know this beautiful spot where we can swim." He said, trotting towards the beach. "It's normally where I go to spend whatever free time I have thinking, but I wouldn't mind sharing it." The unicorn then blushed slightly.

 

Orion's muscles tensed. "Tenebra, stop. You really don't want to fight this one," He said.

Ruby blushed a little bit "that sounds really nice Clayton i usually swim to get rid of stress and all that"

 

Tenebra looked Orion "Trust i have battled far worse enemies that this failure of a queen that is a fat ass plus i want to see how strong she is "

Dark sighed as she watched Tempest leave. "Do you think he'll accomplish what he has set out to do?" She asked, glancing at Saphira

 

The queen simply laughed. "I would listen to your friend if I were you. It's not like I'll be trapped in this mountain forever. I'm am only bidding my time." She said, her voice laced with malice. "I am the Red Death. I am Jourmador."

 

Tempest sighed as he trotted throygh the forest. "Where is that dragon.?" He thought, as he noticed a few black scales on the ground. "I must be getting close." The cyan pegesus trotted ahead until he noticed a black wing with grey scars. "I can't believe it. I found you. Oh, this changes everything." The cyan pegesus then put a hoof on one of the Night Fury's wing, only to have it move. "I'm going to get you out of here." He said, as he grabbed a rock and used it to cut the rope.

 

As soon as the rope was off, Gale leaped forwards and pinned the pegesus that had freed her to the ground. He didn't look scared, which surprised her. She then stepped back.

 

Tempest stood up, and glanced at the dragom he had freed. "There's a cove not to far from here. I wouldn't mind if yiu stayed." Tempest then gave a sheepish smile.

 

Gale tilted her head, amd imitated the smile, with her teeth retracted. She then lean foward amd touched her nose to Tempest's forehead before walking into the forest and tl the cove.

 

The cyan pegesus sighed, as he turned and trotted to his house. "If only my parents could see me now." He thought. Thankfully, the house Tempest lived in was close to the forest, so he wouldn't be seen entering or leaving the forest. When he entered his house, he noticed a scroll on one of the tables, amd sighed. "It looks like I'll be in dragon training, then." He thought.

Tenebra rolled her eyes "yea no thats one stupid name plus i have other things to tend than a lazy dragon i don't like seeing other dragons treated as slaves it so someday you will be killed keep that in mind you tyrant" she said as she flies away she swore to keep that promise.

"I think- No I know he will be able to" Saphiria said. "Besides, not every one can be mad at dragons" She said. "Besides...Jaourmador" She shivered at the mention of that name. a"The queen can't control us and even if she tries some dragons will rebel against her"

Orion smiled slightly, and followed Tenebra. "That was brave of you to say." He said. "I don't think anyone's been so outspoken to the queen before."

 

Clayton nodded slightly. "I agree. The waves just seem to relax any tense muscles in the body, and it feels amazing feeling weightless." He said, a hint of excitement in his voice.

Dark nodded and smiled. "I agree." She said. "That pony is different from the others." The dragoness then noticed a pure black dragon with green eyes. "Who are you?"

 

Gale glanced at Dark and Saphira. "You must be the other two dragons that pegesus was talking about." She said. "My name is Gale, by the way."

 

Jourmador growled slightly, as she slunk back into her den. "Let them come. There is nothing that can defeat me." She thought.

 

Tempest walked through his house, and eventually found himself staring out a window and into the forest. He felt a sense of fulfillment grow within him, something he hasn't felt since the day he watched his parents burn and threw himself into exile. "I swear I'll end this war, even if it kills me." He thought.

"He is different from the other ponies... and it's good to know that" Saphira said as she noticed the pure black dragon also and heard it introduce it self. She replied to the dragon by introducing her self. "It's nice to meet you Gale, my name is Saphira" The dragoness said.
