SaburoDaimando 1,196 March 5, 2014 Share March 5, 2014 At the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro released a DJ Pon-3 Collectable with Swarovski Crystals embedded into her glasses. It's no longer available at the Hasbro Toy Shop, but you can still pick it up on Ebay or Amazon(It's a bit pricy, but not as pricy as the 2012 Derpy Hooves toy). Later that year, Hasbro released the Alicorn Twilight Sparkle toy on their Toy Shop. Not only was it more show accurate than the other Alicorn Twilight, but it also featured Swarovski Crystals on the wings. You can still buy this toy at their Toy Shop Website. So do you all think Hasbro should release more Swarovski-themed My Little Pony toys for the collectors like us? For me, I wouldn't mind Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Queen Chrysalis getting Swarovski-themed figures.
~Silver Essence~ 2,625 March 5, 2014 Share March 5, 2014 They're most likely rare collectables at best. Maybe we'll see them down the road, but I still say they're limited edition to come out commonly.
Fhaolan 4,494 March 5, 2014 Share March 5, 2014 Unfortunately Hasbro doesn't release sales figures for individual toys, so it's hard to tell how many of those actually sold. That Swarovski crystal license doesn't come cheap, so Hasbro's profit margin on those toys are going to be pretty slim. But that aside, my wife's dealt with the Swarovski people before, and she told me that they are some of the most aggressive account sales she had to deal with in that industry. They want to stick those silly bits of cut glass on *everything* and charge you through the nose for the privilege. Hasbro opened the door to a Swarovski deal, so they're probably finding out it's hard to shut it again.
TwilightDreamer 69 March 13, 2014 Share March 13, 2014 It's hard to say since those two are just collectible figures from Hasbro so I don't know........Maybe, maybe not.....who knows?
