Yu nodded towards Chie as she spoke. "Well, you could always ask Dojima for help. I`m willing to bet he'd see what he could do about getting your application accepted." he suggested. After all, the official story was that it was Dojima that figured out it was Adachi. He had to have pull around the station. At the mention of the camping trip, he sighed. "I still don't understand why I got kicked into the river..." he muttered. Yosuke had been the perverted one, and Kanji had the bloody nose...

 

At the mention of the school trip, Kanji groaned. "Please, don't remind me of that... preety sure if she kicked me there now, i`d be dead..." he muttered, shivering.... that whole trip was a disaster. He'd been kicked in the nads, hard enough to make him pass out, spent the night with.... with Ohtani pressed against him, got his ass handed to him and shoved into a puke filled river, and then Ohtani went and told him that he wasn't good enough for her! The only consolation he had was that he never had to taste that 'mystery food x'. At Teddy's question, he shook his head. "A disaster, Teddy... that's what camping trip... be thankful you weren't there at the time..." 

 

Yu blinked a moment, remembering something. "Oh, hey, speaking of kicking things... Chie, I got you something." He muttered, reaching into his bag, pulling out a DVD case. He held it up, giving a light smile. "Behold: The Trial of The Dragon: Directors Cut!" He declared cornily. It had all sorts of special features. Behind the scenes, how they did certain effects, interviews, detailed instructions on the carious kung-fu techniques... the works.

Yosuie clutched his stomach and groaned. "Why did I have to bring the school camping trip up? That curry beast you and Yukiko cooked up was a deadly. I swear I died and gone to hell when I tasted that concoction." Yosuke groaned.

 

"That trip sounded like fun!" Teddy said delightedly.

 

"Oh it was anything but, bear. Chie and Yukiko kicked us into the river while Queen Lard puked into it." Yosuke said.

Yu suggests Chie to asked Dojima for help. Why didn't Chie think of that before. All the long years made her forgot about Dojima, the detective of Inaba, who is Yu's uncle. "Good idea. I'll ask him to give a recommendation."

 

Then Mystery Food X showed up. That dish that Yosuke and Yu ate which gave them instant diarrhea. She didn't want to remember it again. It had gave her and Yukiko a bad impression. The curry that has been filled anything that shouldn't be there.

 

They were still conversing when Yu showed a DVD on his possesion. A gift for Chie. That DVD is shining like a bar of gold, in Chie's perspective. "Th-The Tr-trial of The Dragon?! And it's the director's Cut?! OMG OMG OMG OMG?! Thank you Yu. I've been searching high and low for a replacement of this DVD here and at my college but no one sells them." Chie said as she snatched the DVD and hugged Yu tight. Now she can watch the amazing movie again! But then she remembered who broke the old one: Yosuke again. She felt she wanted to kick Yosuke again, but she needs another trigger.

 

"Speaking of food. We should held a celebration of returning Yu. Me and Yukiko could cook for you guys." Since Yu left Inaba years ago, Chie has been improving her cooking skills with the help of Yukiko, her best friend. Yukiko adapt faster than Chie on cooking. So now, both of the ladies can cook good food. Chie thought her cooking skills are maybe at par with Yu years ago. Of course, only Chie and Yukiko knows this. Yosuke might still thought they can't cook.

"Well, Teddy wouldn't have been able to come with us anyway. It was a school trip... though, I suppose that didn't stop him from following us to that other trip..." Kanji muttered.

 

Yu's smile grew as he saw Chie's face light up. He had been worried that she'd gotten a new copy, which was why he sprang extra for the directors cut... he felt Chie lunge at him with a hug, smirking as he hugged her back. "Heh, glad you like it.I spotted it in a store, and couldn't help but think of you." he said with a small smirk. At the mention of a celebration, his face brightened. That was just what he needed to surprise everyone with his announcement... at the mention of cooking, though, Yu's face sunk slightly. "Er... if you guys want. I mean, me and Naoto could help out..." he said, not wanting to come straight out and say it to the girl... her food was deadly, as far as he knew. Him and Naoto were the only ones that could cook... honestly, he missed cooking. Back at his home in the city, his parents always went out to resturants to eat... it'd been too long since he'd had the chance to cook. Oh well. That could happen once he started living on his own. 

@, (Hey, any chance you could start writing in past tense? Would make things abit easier to read, especially since everyone else is.)

(I guess so. He hasn't posted in a couple of days so.)

"Chie? Cooking? I'd rather die then eat something made by you. I still want to live." Yosuke said. He couldn't believe that Chie offered to cook. "Yeah, Yukiko's cooking is passable but whenever you're hungry you order something from Inaka." Yosuke told her. He didn't want Yu to cook at his own celebration party so that left Naoto.

"Hey, Naoto, why don't you cook something up?" He asked her.

"Yosuke, you should consider being quiet.I imagine Chie is looking for any excuse to punt you again with the memory of Trial of the Dragon being dragged back up..." he warned sagely. "To be fair, Yosuke... it has been awhile since we've eaten anything from them. I`ll tell you what. I`ll eat the first bite, so if it's deadly, you`ll know before hand." He remembered Yukiko had been studying how to cook... maybe she'd gotten fairly far along on that? He didn't know. Depended on what all and all they had... 

 

(Maybe @, should take over Yukiko. She's preety good... if she wants to, of course.)

Meanwhil Mariku was in his house going through his closet till he found two katanas in their scabbards. "If I am going into that TV world, then I need to prepare for what is going to happen...If I meet my shadow...then fine I do" He said to himself

"The who? Oh yeah. Heheheh. Uuh sorry?" Yosuke apologised. He remembered what happened to the DVD. He had borrowed the DVD from Chie. Yosuke then put placed the DVD case on his table and the disc next to his gas stove which happened to be on at the time. Some gas had leaked out and when he placed a match to light the fire up, he managed to burn the disc. (Another incident with a gas stove.)

"I've got an idea. Maybe I can cook." Yosuke offered. His cooking had improved and he's switched from gas to electrical stoves.

 

(@ Do you think you'll be up for playing as Yukiko then, seeming that the original person has left?)

(IIRC Years ago Yosuke split the DVD in half (both anime and game) through accident)

 

Chie expected Yosuke to be turning down the offer, since she had improved her cooking without the others knowing it. She actually tried her cooking for the first time years ago and instantly she knew what's wrong. She then asked Yukiko to help improve each other's cooking and just for fun, they promised to do their best to make the others don't know about it, until the time is right and that time is now.

 

But then Yu accepted her offering and he volunteered as the taste tester. 'Oh I'm going to impress them alright.' Chie thought. Unfortunately, Yosuke volunteered himself to cook. Chie face sank slightly. But then an idea sprang. "How about Yosuke, Yukiko and I that do the cooking, since I'm thinking about quite a feast to welcome him back to the great town of Inaba?"

 

Meanwhile at the Amagi Inn, Yukiko were handling a group of tourists that just came. The tourists were quite hard to handle this time, which is annoying to her. Thankfully, the tourist were gone to their room and Yukiko were given room to breathe. Being an owner of one of the tourists attraction in Inaba has been tiring, but quite fun in the same time. Yukiko had heard about Yu coming again to Inaba, but she hadn't got the time to meet him again.

"Huh... I don't think i`ve ever had your cooking, Yosuke..." he looked past him, over at Teddy. "He's not... well... he doesn't set his house on fire too often, right?" He asked,looking for conformation. He figured if any of them had any first hand experiance with Yosuke's cooking, it'd be Teddy. Then Chie came up with a rather... interesting solution. It was Kanji, however, who gave his opinion on it first. "Huh. Yeah, that sounds good. At least 1/3rd of the meal should be safe to eat." He said, giving a small smirk. Yu nodded abit. "Sure, that does sound interesting. Of course,we'll have to see what Yukiko thinks... when would be the best time for the celebration?" He asked, looking to Chie. She'd been the one to suggest it, after all. Admitably, he felt bad about the idea of having a celebration when Marie could very well already be in the TV world... but he did want to make his announcement.

"When he actually knows the recipe, he can cook well. But if he doesn't know what he's doing then he'll most likely set the place on fire. But I told him to replace the stove with electric hotplates after the fifth or so time he set the house on fire." Teddy told Yu.

"Hey! Actually, bear's right." Yosuke agreed with Teddy. "If Chie's cooking has improved then it'll definitely be a three-chef feast!" Yosuke said proudly with a fist pumping the air.

(Whoops. Well, I won't be able to change it now. )

"Then it's settled!" Chie said to the group. Now what they need is time and location. The party had celebration several times at Mr. Dojima's house. There's a possibility that the party will be held in the same place. But Chie's not sure Yukiko would be available at any time of the week, since she's busy managing the hotel since Yu left the town.

 

"Alright, now what we need is date, time and place! Anyone have any ideas when and where we will held the party?" Chie asked the group.

"Ah, I see. We'll just have to make sure he finds a recipe that's in his skill level." He said, nodding along as Yosuke shouted his excitement. "Yes, seems it will be quite the party..." at the comment of location, he stroked his chin, thinking a moment. "Well, we could always have it at Dojima's, like always. I`m sure Nanako would like to come, even if Dojima can't..." he muttered. "Or we could have it here, or at one of your guys houses... if you could get permission and if it was large enough..." he said, still thinking it out. "As for when... I feel it should be after we get Marie from the television. It'd just feel... wrong to do it before then..." He muttered. It would feel wierd having party while a friend of theirs was stuck in that hell...

"Yu's right. The celebration can wait until after we rescue Marie." Yosuke said. He knew that they would have to rescue Marie if she appeared on the TV again tonight. He checked his watch and looked at the group, "I've got to get home guys. You coming Teddy?" Yosuke asked him.

 

Teddy looked around at the group and nodded. "I'll see you all later." Teddy said with a wave and he followed Yosuke home.

Mariku sat in front of his TV. "Go in and then get out...simple as that...nothing to deal with just get Marie and get out before anything bad happens" He repeated as he looked at the blades. "But what if I meet my shadow....should I try to ignore it or run form it...." He asked himself

Yu was thankful that Yosuke agreed... it really would have felt wrong to leave Marie in the television while they threw a party. "Thank you, Yosuke." 

 

Kanji nodded as well. He would've been pissed if while he was in the TV the first time, instead of saving his ass everone just sat around eating cake. When Yosuke and Teddy left, Kanji checked his watch. "Oh, jeez, I gotta get home and get some work done... i`ll be sure to check the TV when midnight comes around though, see ya!" He said, swiftly turning and going. 

 

Yu waved goodbye as those left, turning to Chie and Yukiko. "I have to go as well..." He needed to go online... he was starting his online classes soon for college, so he could continue studying while in Inaba, and he had to get things set up... "It was good seeing both of you... talk to you tommarrow." He said, turning to go.

 

(Hey, sorry I didn't post in so long... I was kinda waiting on @, but.... )

Time passed very quickly when talking to the group. Chie didn't realize it's already an hour before sunset. Teddy and Yosuke were going home, as well as all other members. Chie wanted to part ways too, with a slight thought of visiting Yukiko before going home. 

 

"I'll see you guys later. Hopefully we can start saving Marie ASAP!" Chie said to the group as they leave.

 

Chie walked happily, knowing the nostalgia of having so much fun in the group like what she had years ago.  She walked past the Amagi Inn and began considering checking on Yukiko or not. At times like this, Yukiko is quite busy. Chie understands that. So, she decided to crash into Amagi Inn tomorrow, as well as asking Yu's uncle, Mr. Dojima to recommend her, so she can join the force fast. 

 

All these thought boosted her mood and she walked happier than ever.

(Should Dojima just be an 'open character' people can control as they need, or should I control him? I can work with either.)

 

Yu nodded, walking back towards his own house. Since he was going in the same direction as Kanji, he ended up catching up and talking to him abit. They talked about the dolls Kanji was making, reminiscing about how that all got started with the kid who threw his friend's toy into the river. "Heh. Funny how things work like that. Didn't think something already sewn would sell well in a textile shop, but..." Kanji shurgged. They parted ways and Yu arrived home.

 

When he got back, Dojima smiled abit at him. "Hey, welcome back." He said, sitting at the table with Nanako. "You were late getting home, so me and Nanako made something... well, Nanako made something... I was more of a spectator..." He grumbled the last bit. 

 

"We made Yakiudon!" the young girll said cheerfully. He smiled, grabbing his own bowl which was thankfully still warm and discussed the day with the others... he wondered if should tell Dojima about the midnight channel coming back... he'd at least believe him about it this time... 

 

Yu glanced as the clock slowly ticked towards midnight, heading off to his room as Dojima and Nanako headed to bed.

 

 

(Suppose we have to wait on Pixalte to come back, so he can decide what appears on the midnight channel exactly. )

(You can control Dojima. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't. Besides, it would be better if you controlled him anyway)

 

Midnight

Yosuke and Teddy watched with bated breah as the TV flickered a bit and then turned on. It looked like some sort of circus in the background. They then began to hear some circus music playing in the background. (this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D5Sa2Yq-2g)

 

"Hello Ladies and Gentleman!" A blond girl in a ringmaster's uniform spoke as she walked onto the screen.

"Is that Marie?" Teddy asked curiously. Yosuke only nodded. They continued to watch as she performed a mini circus act.

"Welcome, one and all, to the great Circus! It's so great, it doesn't even need a name. Now. You ready to come and watch?" Marie asked the camera as she closed the curtains behind. Then the TV flickered off. Yosuke grabbed Teddy's phone and imediately dialled Yu's number.

 

"Come on man. Pick up." Yosuke said softly. Teddy watched Yosuke. 

 

Sekel was dumbfounded. There was no way that was Marie. She doesn't even like the circus! Does she?

Okay... a circus. When he'd tried to imagine what could be Marie's true self, that was NOT the first thing that came to mind. Still, he tood there and watched it as it flashed on the screen. A girl stepped onto the screen... she was blonde, unlike Marie... odd. But she did look like he aside from that. She spoke of the place... a circus without a name, huh? Still, he wondered if that was Marie... she'd never expression any interest in a circus, although she imagined it had to do more with some deep, emotional thing. Like always.

 

He felt his phone ring, immediately picking it up. "Hey, Teddy." He said, presumeing it was the bear calling as it was his number. "A circus, huh... lets hope nobody is afraid of clowns..." he muttered. 

 

Kanji, although he'd worked to make up for the dolls he hadn't managed to finish last night after the phone call, inevitably turned on the tv, making sure to watch. He blinked, seeing a carnival. "What the hell?" had he turnedit onto some advertisement?  A girl stepped out... with blonde hair? Was that even Marie?

So...a circus without a name....guess I know where I am going during rainy weather" Mariku said to himself. "I wonder though...why a circus though" Mariku wasnt really surprised, seeing the Midnight channel and being surprised once was fine but being surprised again wasn't really worth it.

"Hey man. I know this is Teddy's phone but who's the one that calls you every time after the Midnight Channel shows up. Huh?" Yosuke chuckled. "Anyway. About Marie. It looked like her didn't it? But she must have dyed her hair or something." Yosuke added.

 

"Nope. No clowns. No clowns." Sekel repeated to himself over and over.

"Well, if one of us hadn't broken his phone, there wouldn't be any mis-communication, now would there?" he pointed out. When the discussion turned to Marie, he shurgged. "I dunno. Last time I saw her, she had black hair... you guys watch the weather, right? Was her hair black still last time you saw it?" he asked curiously. He shook his head a little. "It'd be wierd if he shadow just decided to change it's hair... maybe it's going for some sort of carnival motif with what?" He said, honestly having no idea. "Etiher way...I say we just go into the TV tomorrow. I know we usually spend a few days preparing, but we know enough about Marie to just have Teddie find her... and we already have all of out gear from before..." he said, glancing towards his closet, where he'd stored the Downpour Sword. "And honestly, I don't want to wait..."

"Yeah well ... I think her hair stayed the same. I didn't really notice her hair ..... tomorrow will be good. You may be right about that carnival motif too." Yosuke said at length. "We'll go tomorrow. Night Yu." Yosuke said. He shut the phone and handed it back to Teddy. "Think you're up for another adventure in the TV World Teddy?" Yosuke asked with a smile. Teddy nodded enthusiasticalky and yawned. "I think it would be good if we went to sleep." Yosuks said. He ushered Teddy out of his room and headed off to bed.
