I wake up due to a pain in my side. I realize its night. "Wait... Didn't I fall asleep last night?... was that this night?  How long have I been out for?..." I walked around exploring the store when I spot somepony. "Hey, hows it going?... whats Missy doing? Is she okay? Oh! got anything to eat?"

Technicolor woke up to the voices. "Morning already?" she asked in a sleepy daze. "Man, I hate mornings." She stretched and looked out the window. It was still the dead of night. She facehoofed. "no point in going back to sleep," She said with a shrug and stretched her back muscles.

"That floor was killing me anyway. I'll make sure nopony tries to hurt us." She sat up and watched the site, determined to keep her new group safe. She wasn't going to let her friends die.

Missy appeared to be mumbling a little, she was dreaming, it was a nightmare of sorts, she couldn't fall asleep without seeing the image of her parents being eaten in front of her, when Philipe splashed the water on Missy's face, she woke up yelling "Stop!". She noticed Philipe next to her "I passed out, didn't I?"

"yes, yes you did, you really shouldn't go that long without eating, especially at your age" he handed her the second bowl "I made you some food...I never really got the opportunity to get to know my fellow survivors...we ran from the last base to here pretty soon after I joined you guys, then i spent today on my supply run, my name is fisk"

Technicolor gave a polite salute.

"Technicolor. radioactive former arial performer. Been through a lotta stuff. Well... we all have. Sorry. You can call me Techni, TC, Techy, or Tech. Pleasure to meet you all." She gave a bow and settled her coat to a calming purple color.

"Frozen, what makes you think broken is the enemy here? And, whatever dragged that body that you killed is now muching on it as we speak, since you alerted this whole section from that outburst, makes me think and sort of regret bringing you here was a bad idea. You are obviously not in any condition to be on this mission like this..."

I calmy say showing concern, and bravery to stand infront of a gun, for the somepony that i like.

"He has been on our side this whole time frozen"

i remain infront of her, showing no fear about this. And both broken and frozen now very well know that i have feelings towards broken by doing this.

Frozen keeps the gun up, her entire body trembling from fear, fatigue, and pain. If you pay attention to her head, you could notice an almost habitual twitch to her movements. Suddenly, her magic fails, causing the pistol to drop, and her pupils contract completely. She begins to sob, "It hurts... It hurts so much... Make it stop..."

"Do you still have the painkillers?"

I ask. Showing this concern as well, then i look out the door to see if that thing that took the zombie was back, i also check the vents.

"Broken..."

i look over at him.

"We will talk later, rightnow... grab the supplies from here and lets roll"

drips of something falls from the ceiling, a low growl is heard, as the group looks up they see a horrible figure, a zombie unlike any thing theyve seen before it was a special type, it was squatting, its 4 legs jutting out, its natural hoof adhesive (either sticky hooves or hoof magic depending on what theory you follow) was amplified to the point it can stick to walls, its head was turned 180 degrees so it was looking at them right side up, its eyes were souless black with a tiny red pupil, it growled, and before any of them could take a shot it scurried into a nearby vent

"I'm not really that young, I'm 13 years old... my name is Missy by the way, Missy Starlight." Missy sat upright and levitated the food over to her, it wasn't all that impressive, but at times like these, you have to take what you can get, she felt  a little pain in  the back of her head again, it was still bleeding slightly.

Broken stirs from behind the over-mind for a moment when Fluttershy steps between them. The over-mind simply wishes to buck her in the head and he cannot allow that in enemy territory. For all the Diarchy' planning, its conditioning does not take a few things into account- there is no unfriendly territory for the Diarchy. When the new corpses comes out above them, Broken can finally understand why his senses have been registering such chaotic activity. The zombie trails behind it some sort of fluid, quickly evaporating but almost immune to sound.

 

The over-mind considers for a moment before simulating a smile, "Take half the supplies. We will both help carry the exalted. If you are unable to carry and operate weapons simultaneously, I can do so on one of my wings."

Frozen shakes her head, "Any... Any more painkillers and my heart will stop beating... I... I need a healing potion, and... And I'm not safe for transport.., I'm sorry... I thought it was just a headache, but it... It hurts so much... She tries again to lift her pistol, but her magic fails to manifest entirely.

I say looking at broken and frozen.

i grab half of the supplies and putting it into my saddle bags, asl grabing the gun, and putting ing my bag too so we don't leave it behind.

"Are you ready to get the buck out? We will get the potion tomorrow."

"I'm fine, the back of my head is still bleeding, I hope the others come back soon, I'm starting to get worried." Missy said, wincing in pain as she brought back a hoof from the back of her head that was covered in blood. "It's why I keep passing out, I must have a concussion, and some blood loss too. If only there was something... a healing potion! But I don't have the supplies to make any. And they take at least a day to make."

Technicolor saw everyone was eaqting. Not meaning to be rude, she tried to stayquiet. The smell of it- she was starving!!! She got food out of her sack and started wolfing it down. She managed to barely control herself enough before trying to eat the rest. She then cleared her throat.
"Sorry," she said with a nervous laugh. That's better."

"healing potion? do you think you could give me the recipe?" he looked around for a pen and piece of paper handing it to her "maybe I could gather the supplies and get the stuff together" he grinned "if we work together we could do a lot of good and get a few of those potions done"

"Well, I might not have the recipe exactly... but here goes..." Missy levitated the pen and started writing, making corrections as she went, she finished after a few minutes. "Here it is, like I said, it may not be exact, I got it from a hidden book in the Ponyville Library, nopony is supposed to have access to this other than medical organisations,

The over-mind calculates for a moment. No one will last without better medical supplies. The corpse that just appeared was not something that could override previous mission objectives. The exalted is required for further operation. He has approximately two hours of magic left before his wings are inoperable. His body is taking large damage from his wings' operation without a better control system.

 

Broken reaches into Fluttershy's bag and clips her slug thrower to his wing along with his own.

 

"We cannot leave now, warpony. The exalted must not be risked. We should press on." Broken presses up next to Frozen to steady her, "You earlier pointed out a cold storage room. If there are potions, they will be stored there. We have little time."

"Right, broken, either i go and do this alone while you watch frozen, or we all go, the risk of frozen would be increased if we all go, but it could help him get cured faster if we do. I am willing to risk doimg this by-my self if nessecary. I also have done solo scouting ops and solo rescue ops. But that was only out of nessecity. You can take her to the t-section that lead out of the hospital and wait for me there with frozen. So... should we go togeather or should i go alone and get the potion?"

I ask both of you, knowing the full risk and dangers of going alone, but i have done multiple lone wolf missions in the past, even though i am confident, i am not over confident like a unseasoned knight.

Frozen nods weakly, "C-cold storage is on the opposite si-side of the building... S-so whatever that thing was, it will be able to hunt us down there... I-if you think it will be safer, just leave me... I'll only slow you two down... It's my fault that all this happened... I'm so sorr-" She trails off with another groan of pain.

(BTW, frozen is a mare, but whatever)

The over-mind simulates a smile, "If you are able, warpony- then a solo operation will be the most effective choice. I can guard the exalted in the central lobby. The noise of the slug throwers I carry should be a sufficient distraction to ensure the success of your mission."

i walk over to broken and kiss then kiss him on the cheek.

"Just in case"

i smile then prepare to head out into the hall, i look back over. Then wink at broken.

"The solo-op will be a success"

i walk out slowly in a stealth positon with my knife in my mouth and my shotgun ready. I then take off in the hospital towards the c-section for the potion. Commincing the solo-op

Behind the over-mind Broken stirs and reels from surprise. He has no idea why that just happened. He still fights for control and for a moment regains it. He calls after Fluttershy, "Harmony above you and your future before you, warpony!"

 

He presses against Frozen to start guiding her. The over-mind reasserts control and briskly starts marching her as fast as she is able to the opening section of the hospital. One of Broken's wings is shifted into place to aim the two slug throwers he mounted on it forward. When they reach their destination, he takes a breathe and asks Frozen, "Are you ready?"

Frozen shrugs, "I... I don't think I really have a chance." She braces her rifle against one of Broken's weapon mounts, "Alright, I-I may be wounded, but I can still shoot... Just don't cut my rifle in two ok?" She asks with a dry chuckle as she makes sure one more time that her rifle's magazine is full and she is still capable of working the action. She is, with some difficulty.
