Icarus was saddened by the story, and by her subsequent reaction.So, he decided to give in to his blurred mind.

 

Icarus leaned over and wrapped his arms around her in a loving hug.

 

"I would never think any differently of you for that, my dear Violet" He says in a soothing voice.

Aaron looked saddened. 'Even in this world there are some dark things going on.' Aaron looked to Kaz, "Sure, lead the way." Aaron got up from their booth and stretched out his muscles. The food was delicious and he was looking forward to sitting down with her.

Kaz smiles and brings Aaron over to where Icarus and Violet are. She smiles, "Hey Vi, how's things?"

Violet smiles back, "Wonderful, I've just met the most wonderful stallion, and I see you've found yourself one too"

Kaz smiles, "Sure have, Aaron this is my dear friend Violet, or Vi for short, Vi, this is my special somepony, Aaron"

Aaron saw the two and walked over to the one called Violet with Kaz. They both walked over to to the new mare. She had a coat that was a violet color. 'Huh, fitting name I guess.' He thought to himself. They reached her and Violet introduced herself and then Aaron. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Violet."

Violet smiles, "Pleasure to meet you too Aaron" she says, ignoring his appearance, "and please, as you're my best friend's special somepony, feel free to call me Vi" She says, holding tight onto Icarus.

Icarus keeps his hug on her and lands a soft peck on her cheek. He was visibly tipsy, but he was mostly in control.

 

"So that is your best friend? Cool, I'm Icarus" He says to Ocean happily, extending a hoof to her and her stallionfriend, or Aaron, as he called himself.

Aaron reached out and shook the stallions had. "Nice to meet you as well." Aaron saw through his masked and saw the various scars. He felt a kindred spirit to this stallion. Maybe they could be friends in the future, but for now he had a lovely woman to attend to. "Kaz, would you like to head home now?"

Vi smiles, "She sure is" She continues to hug Icarus.

She then turns to Aaron, "of course dear, lets go" turning back to Vi she smiles, "Behave yourself Vi" then takes Aaron home.

So, do you have a place we can go?" Icarus asks, "If not, I have a small camp set up a nice distance from here" Icarus says.

 

He releases the hug, and smiles.

 

"Also, just for formalities, will you be my special somepony ?" He asks happily, visibly smiling under his mask,

Violet smiled, "I have a small house, and yes, yes, I will be your special somepony." She smiles and kisses him on the cheek. She then pays for their drinks and offers him her hoof "come on dear, let's go, my house isn't that far from here, and maybe we can snuggle in front of the fire"

The two walked back to Kaz's house, Aaron staying close to her. She opened the door to her home and they walked in. Aaron sat on her couch, and took his trench coat off, followed by his bandana. "Good to be back. Thank you for taking me out, Kaz. I enjoyed eating with you."

Solar stands up and takes her hoof happily. 

 

"Lead the way " He says in his usual soothing, but odd voice. Under his mask, and across his scared face, there was a smile. The first true smile he had worn in awhile. He felt truly happy in that moment. He sighed happily.

Kaz smiles back at him, "As did I Aaron, it was nice to be out with someone who isn't from work. It was also great to see that Vi has found somepony to take care of her, I was getting worried about her for a while."

Violet smiles and they soon reach her house, "Well we're here"

"Indeed. Everyone deserves love. And I enjoyed being with you, but soon I am going to be your workmate as well. But, if I can be with you, I would enjoy whatever position they put me in." Aaron got up from the couch and walked to her. "You or I don't know what love is like, but as long as you are willing, I would endear anything."

Icarus follows her in, and waits until the door is closed. He then removes his mask, showing a grey facial fur, combined with several deep scars across his face. he smiled,, knowing Violet would accept him.

 

"Heh, you ready for that snuggle ?" He asks with a giggle.

Kaz smiles and kisses him, "I enjoy being with you too, and you are right dear, everyone does deserve love." She says, leading him back to the couch, then gently pushing him down and snuggling up to him, his cybernetics were cold to the touch, but she didn't mind.

Violet smiles, "Sure am cutie" She leans in and kisses him on the muzzle, "scars or no, you are still cute."

Aaron held her close, enjoying the sensation of her touch against him. He didn't want to let go of her. She was the first female to show him affection and he didn't want to let of it. He stroked her mane a bit, cautiously as to not offend. "Care to put that movie on for a little cuddle. Or we could do that without the movie. I'm happy either way."

Kaz pauses a moment thoughtfully, "mmm nah, I'm too comfortable and happy to get up" she says, snuggling further in to Aaron. She grabs his hand and runs it along her body, smiling at the feeling. "Aaron, honey?" she asks, "do you believe in destiny?" She smiles at him.

Aaron's face was getting red at her running his hand down her curvy body. He was snapped out of his trance by her question. "Uh, w-well. I'm willing to believe anything right now. I'm currently in a position I never thought I'd see myself." He looked into her gorgeous eyes and got a little closer to her. "Sitting here, with a beautiful woman with her arms around me, so to answer your question. I guess I do believe."

Kaz smiles as she stares into Aaron's eyes. "Good, because I do too. I believe that you were sent here. I have no idea why, but for some reason, I believe it is so that we could be together." She reaches up and kisses him, "I'd be willing to quit my career, just so I can spend every minute with you." She keeps running his hands down her body, stopping at her belly.

"And, I would cherish those moments with you. I may not know why I awoke at this time, but I don't realy care., I fond something amazing here." He looks down to where she had stopped his hand. It was on her nicely toned belly. He could feel her abdominal muscles against his hand.

"Then it is settled, I will tell the General tomorrow that I am retiring. I have a sizable savings account and a rather nice severance/retirement package, so we won't be wanting for anything." She says "except for one thing" she thinks to herself, "Aaron..I..."

She wanted to say that she loved him, but was afraid to.

Aaron looked at her wide eyed. "No! Don't do that." he was afraid he may have startled her. "Kaz, you are an amazing woman. Great personality, great career, great body but that's a bonus to me. But I don't want you throwing a great thing you have." He brought her to eye level and looked into her eyes. "I can't let you do that. But, I will join you in the local militia. I won't let you throw your hard work away." He grew a bit nervous as he developed his next sentence. "To tell the truth, when I met you a while back, I was terrified of you. Afraid of what you would do to me. But now that I've gotten to know you, I am absolutely smitten with you. The truth is, I think... I'm starting to fall for you."
