Aaron took defensive position in front of the Gryphon. He saw the sword and chose the weapon suitable. From his lower wrists were a pair of sleek knives. The gryphon lunged forward and Aaron was there to counter, One blade took the sword as the other sliced his arm, forcing him to drop his blade. He knew better to not trust it as its claws were suitable weapons. It lunged forward, giving a screech. Aaron countered again, inserting both blades into the neck. It fell to the ground. He turned his attention to Violet. "Its not safe here, we must go."

Peace looked around, "that should be enough, I just need enough light to see my immediate surroundings, thanks Icarus."

Icarus made his scythe glow, and followed Peace into the cave. Peace looks around, "Hmm..it doesn't sound like anypony is in here, this seems like a good spot to set up camp." Just as she says that, a griffon jumps out from hiding and attacks them.

Violet held back a scream, and nods "M..maybe we should follow their path, I..I need to be near Kaz. Please" She says, latching onto Aaron's arm. "Please" she pleads, looking at the dead griffon on the ground.

Icarus reacts first and swings the scythe. It contacts the griffons chest, and slices it open. The wound wasn't red though. It instead glew an odd purple.  When the griffon attacked again, Icarus kicked it in the groin and slashed at it's neck, nearly beheading it. As it layed on the ground dying, he walked over to it. He moved his body so Peace could not see what he did next. 

 

He placed the tip of the scythe on the griffons heart. The scythe pulsated  a dark purple color. The griffon suddenly started thrashing and kicking as it's soul, it's very life force,was ripped from it's body by the scythe and consumed for power. There would be no afterlife for this griffon. No "great beyond". Only darkness and nothingness, as it's soul had been consumed merely to fuel the scythe.

 

He turned back to Peace, the griffon's body devoid of all color, and walked up to her. 

 

"That was close, stay on your guard." He says.

Aaron agreed and picked up Viloet off the ground. He looked in the direction of where they had gone and began leaping in the trees, trying to find Kaz and Icarus. He began listening for anything that could help locate the two warriors. His powerful legs propelling the two through the trees.

Peace looked around and remembered her night vision goggles, she puts them on. "hmm no signs of life except for us two." She replies as she takes the goggles off, "We'll set up camp here for the night, I can cook, so no need to worry about that, but do you think you can find some things like berries, roots and flowers? and sad to say but maybe some small animals like a rabbit or something? Its for Aaron, as his kind eat meat." She says as she starts setting up the campfire.

Violet wraps her arms around Aaron and quivers a little at his touch, "It's no wonder Peace loves you, you'e so strong and well handsome." she says quietly.. "She is very lucky to have you, please, treat her right." She snuggles into his arms as he carries her through the forest to the cave where Icarus and Peace had set up camp.

Aaron gave her a nod. Not really saying a word. Night came quick as he continued onward. Switching to infrared to see where he was going. In the distance he could see two figures. He made a hard left and propelled them to the heat signatures. As he landed in the trees at a safe distance, he saw that it was Kaz and Icarus. He propelled them onto the ground to greet the two and set Violet down.

Violet smiled and gave Aaron a small thank you lick on the cheek then looks over to try and find Icarus, not finding him she goes to help set the camp up.

 

Peace notices and assumes Aaron is with her, she walks over to him and gives him a quick kiss, "Hi there handsome..." she looks at the blood on his armor and sighs, "You two were attacked as well?" Aaron nods solemnly, "It's alright dear, what matters is you're both safe." She hugs him, "Can you go looking for some more fire wood please dear?"

Aaron gives her a nod and turns to the dark forest. "I love you, Beautiful. I'll be back soon." Aaron jumps into the trees and ventures forth, breaking various dead sticks and branches off of trees. His talons removing them with ease. And within minutes he had all they would need for the night. Taking his pile in his arm, he begins his venture back to Kaz so they can have some warmth and a way to cook food.

Peace smiles as she finishes with the camp preparations, they were in a cave sure, but she still wanted to give Aaron his 'reward', so she set up a secure tent, one for her and Aaron, and one for Violet and Icarus. She then sits and waits for Aaron to return. She has a big smile on her face but thinks "I..I wonder if he wants children? Like really wants children"

Aaron drops down from above, landing with a large crash. The bundle of sticks in his arm still intact. He saw Kaz waiting for him and it brought a smile to his face. He walked over to their camp site and placed the sticks down, now focused on the lovely Kaz. "And how is the most beautiful mare in the world doing tonight? I hope I can make her camping experience all the better under these negative circumstances." He gave a small bow to Kaz.

Peace smiles at Aaron's compliments, "oh stop it you." She says kissing him, "There is one thing you can do." she says motioning over to the tent, "Are you ready for that 'reward' of yours?" She asks, as she leads him to the tent and when they get in, she zips the door down, "don't worry, these tents are completely sound proof"

Aaron followed Kaz into the tent, as she shut the door to it. He looked to his love and took his mask off. showing his smile to her. "I am ready for your reward. And I shall see to it that you receive a gift of my affection as well, Kaz." He slid next to her and embraced her in a loving kiss.

Icarus lays down next to vi and giggles.

 

"Well, I have a feeling I know what those two are doing." Icarus says as he cuddles up to Violet and nuzzles her. 

 

He then did something, quite unexpected. He grabbed a hold of her and flipped her over with a giggle,and raised her shirt above her belly. He pressed his lips against  her belly button, and blew, giving her a raspberry her playfully.

Violet giggles almost uncontrollably, "I know, I have a feeling that they're trying for what we're trying for. It's so wonderful." She says and giggles even more when Icarus blew raspberries on her bellies, it was odd, but she saw how happy it made him, so she let him continue for a little while. "So darling, did you get us some food?" she asks, eyeing his packs, she wanted to make love with him again, oh Celestia's mane, she wanted it so badly, but she was starving from all the panic and she couldn't make sweet love for long, on an empty stomach.

Icarus wanted it too. He wanted to just go the night with her. But survival took priority. Icarus opened his bag, and pulls out a package. He rips it open, and pulls out what looked like a giant cookie.  

 

"This may look like a cookie, but it contains all the essentials needed for a full day of work. Not to mention it's tasty" Hee says and hands it to her with a smile.

Violet smiled and took the cookie happily, she breaks it in half and gives one half to Icarus. She leans over and kisses him. "Darling, I know there's something special about your scythe, please, there shouldn't be any secrets between us or Aaron and Kaz as well." she says, as she nibbles on the cookie, "mmm this is delicious, a recipe of your own?"

Yes. It is alive, much like me and you it adapts and changes to fit a situation. It is quite extraordinary. And yes, it it. I give thoes to starving towns, they need them. They are REALLY healthy for you" Icarus says snuggling with Violet. He felt the urge ti make love, he wanted it while they were alone. But for now, he held back. He would let Violet decide when. 

 

He tickled her belly a little.

Violet giggles and nods, "I do love, and it is so kind to share this with starving towns." She kisses him, "That's one of the reasons why I love you so much, your kindness and generosity." She finishes the cookie, and feeling full and nourished, she smiles sweetly at Icarus, "Icarus, you handsome, sexy stud you, would you like to continue trying for a foal or two?" She says rather sensually while fluttering her eyelashes at him.

Icarus crawled over to her and snuggled with her. He reached his hand to her lower areas and stroked.

 

"I would love too dear, but we should wait for Our friends finish. We need someone to be able to watch for trouble. Besides I would rather not have them finish and come in here to see us making love" Icarus says to her, still giving her a sly smile.

Violet grins, "Darling, Kaz did a tent up for us too, you silly filly." She says with a giggle and points to the separate tent, "And I can cast a invisibility spell on the cave, don't forget I am a unicorn, so I can cast these sort of spells." She says with a smile, getting ready to cast the spell.

"Well, someone also needs to stay on watch. And such. We can wait Vi" He says with a smile as he snuggles with her happily, content with just snuggling, for now. He hoped the other pair would finish so though, so that way he could go at it with Violet. This time to both their hearts content.

Violet smiles and kisses Icarus, "Very well my love, when you are ready, just let me know." She wanted..no she needed to make love with him again, real badly, but she wanted him to be ready for it, and she wanted to pleasure him as much as he pleasured her the last time they made love, which was also their first time. She kisses him again. "Icarus, I truly do love you, and when I saw what you wrote in your journal, my heart soared. It truly did"

"I love you too my darling. Though, I am glad you did not see everything I had written in that Journal. Some things need to stay secret" He says with a slight laugh and he licks her ear. Icarus smiled at her and removed his mask, before laying down on her belly.

You can trust me, I am your fiance after all" she says licking him back, then stroking his mane as he rested his head on her lap, "I'm sorry dear" she says quietly, leaning down for a quick kiss. "I do hope that Kaz gets pregnant, then our little ones will have her little ones to play with"

"Yes, but these secrets are more...shall I say....for fun, such as how I plan to the wedding" Icarus says with a quick smile.

 

"And I hope so too, I was a very lonely child, I would not want the same for our children. Good to know though, they will have a great mother, and hopefully a great father " Icarus says, playfully complementing himself.
