"Well. Would you look at that? Arti's here too. Come to see me on my deathbed?" Devilinx sneered. Angelinx hit her. "Oww. What was that for?" Devilinx whined. Angelinx just sighed.

 

"Because this isn't our deathbed. Anyway, to answer both your questions. Minx DOES have multiple personality disorder. She got it when she was six, like she said. I'd rather not talk about it because it was a really hard time for her." Angelinx paused for a bit to let that sink in. "Now. About her heart. Hopefully this will be the last heaart attack she has for a long time because, by the time she's recovered and everything, her body would have gotten use to the electricity inside her. And now, hopefully, when she uses a lot of it, like trying to kill the music, she won't go into cardiac arrest." Angelinx explained.

 

Jeremy was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that Minx had Multiple Personality Disorder.

Arti walked into the room and looked at Minx, "I hope you're feeling okay... though I can't tell if your completely alright just yet..."

 

"Methinks her mental issue is a little out of han at the moment..." he thought to himself, doing his best sincere smile to Minx.

Arti was slightly surprised by the severity of Minx's mental... issue... However, he figured it was better than her being dead.

 

"Well, I guess I don't have to worry too much about you voices, because I doubt you'd like your body to die..." said Arti, "But, somebody here if not the doctor, ought to find a long term solution to Minx's heart problems."

"Well, I'm not a doctor, nor do I want to be one, but if I'm correct, there's a few options depending on the actual issue." He thought for a moment, "But, Jeremy, if that has never happened before, perhaps she had the condition beforehand and it was just hidden?"

 

"If not, i'd say it's the electric power she seems to obtained, even then, who knows how scarred her heart is? Or what we should do?...

Probably a cardiologist..."

After fighting down a panic attack, Katie took yet another break from all the craziness and hoped that nothing would happen to pull her back in. She got a chocolate chip muffin and some bottled milk from a hospital vending machine and ate it in one of the children's waiting rooms. The room was quiet, slightly messy with bright and pretty walls, this was a major improvement from the cold cleans halls of the hospital itself. The room had cushy chairs and a few toys including an old Gameboy sitting in a basket of donated games. She spent a good half an hour playing Pokemon and just waited for someone to come looking for her or kick her out.

Jeremy got up out of the seat and slowly paced. He tried to come up with different solutions but kept scrapping them. He looked at Minx and thought about something. "Angelinx, do you know if Minx's heart condition was latent? You may be a voice but you and Devilinx both know how Minx's body works better than Minx herself." Jeremy thought that Angelinx seemed the nicer of the two.

 

"Hang on a second please." Angelinx said and then went about, trying to discover if Minx's heart condition was indeed latent and only brought out because of the electricity. After rooting around a bit in Minx's memories, she saw a memory but stayed well away from it. "Yes, the heart condition was latent. Now what shall we do about it?" Angelinx asked.

"Like I said, i'm not a doctor, but surely the hospital ought to contact a cardiologist for this... unless they already have. Otherwise, if it's not XANA, what can we do?" said Arti aloud. He realized it was somewhat pessimistic, but to him, it was the closest thing he could think of.

Katie stood battle ready on Route 5, her charmander was killing it! Maybe a little too much. "Damn" She muttered as the oddish foe feinted, "I wanted to catch that CharChar!" She reprimanded the virtual beast, "now I have to find another." She began wading through the tall grass humming the Pokemon theme song and eventually belting out the words at the top of her voice, not really caring if anyone heard. "Pokemon gotta catch em allllit's so truuue our courage WILL PULL US THROUGH POKEMON Oohh your're my best friend in a world we must defend!"

Jeremy walked over to the nurse. "Has the hospital contacted a cardiologist?" Jeremy asked her. The nurse nodded.

 

"Yes, we have. The cardiologist said that when she recovers, we'll have to wait a few weeks for her to get back to full strength." The nurse told him.

 

"Okay. And did he say anything about her heart condition?"

 

"Oh that. She'll be fine when she recovers." The nurse responded. Jeremy walked back to Arti and Minx

 

"Apparently she'll be fine when she recovers. No operations needed. It's strange." Jeremy told them.

"Apparently she'll be fine when she recovers. No operations needed. It's strange." Jeremy told them.

"Well, alright then." replied Arti, as he really couldn't think of anything else on the matter.

 

After a moment, he spoke up again with a question, "So, Jeremy, you mention you fought this XANA jerk before? Tell me, how does messing with those tower things stop it, or more importantly, how can we stop the supercalculator all together? Sure the virtual world is fun, but, i'm getting more paranoid by the minute about everything electronic..."

"Yeah, me and my friends fought him. We thought turning off the supercomputer would stop all that but obviously it didn't. The supercomputer isn't a weapon, it's a supercomputer. XANA was made by a guy called Franz Hopper to try and destroy a military project. Sector Five or Carthage. But It didn't turn out so well as XANA backfired and turned on it's creator. Like Frankenstein's monster. Deactivating the towers stop him temporarily. We had a problem where he was inside the internet and he wanted to destroy all of Lyoko by destroying the Sectors one by one." Jeremy explained. He was going to say more but was interrupted by a phone call. "Hang on a minute." He stepped outside the ICU and answered the call. "Odd? Why are you calling? Don't you have your hands full with Cissy?" Jeremy asked.

 

"Yeah well, Cissy's at work and since I've got a few days off, I thought I would come and visit you. But it seemed that you weren't home." Odd answered. He sat on his motorcycle as he talked with Jeremy.

 

"I'm at the hospital."

 

"What for?"

 

"I'm visiting one of the kids who were on Lyoko. Apparently she had a double heart attack."

 

"A double heart attack? I'll come by and talk to you some more. See you later." Odd hung up and began to drive towards the hospital.

Jeremy closed his phone and looked up when he heard singing.  He walked towards the source and found Katie, singing some sort of show tune. "What are you singing?" Jeremy asked her.

When Jeremy walked into the room, Katie had found herself longing upside down on the waiting room couch singing theme songs from various generations. Her new found Gameboy rejoiced in victorious tunes. "Hold on!" She half yelled at Jeremy suddenly sitting up on the couch with pure determination in her eyes, she began violently tapping the A button as if that would help. Then she grinned "Yes!" She said, "finally caught one!" She regained her composer, turning to Jeremy, "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" she cheered the words. @,

Jeremy walked over and saw her holding a Gameboy that had a copy of Pokemon in it. "I was wondering what you were singing but it seems like I found out. Which Pokemon did you just catch?" He asked curiously. He never got to play it but he knew a lot about it, thanks to Odd. "Also, Minx is going to be fine. After she recovers, there apparently won't be any more heart attacks." Jeremy informed her of Minx's condition.

"Oh, Minx! Like, Minx Minx, right?" said Arti with uncertainty, "You're in the hospital, intensive care actually, from another heart attack. "

 

"However, it appears the Cardiologist said you don't need a surgical operation." Arti shrugged, "But at least that supercalculator, or XANA, is not doing anything sneaky sneaky right now."

"Intensive Care ... another heart attack ... I'm the real Minx. Don't worry. Why? Did I do or say something stupid?" Minx asked. Her voice was weak but at least she could talk.

Arti paused just because I don't like writing huge paragraphs of dialogue at once, "But, otherwise, i'd worry mostly about your heart issue, consider it may not have come from XANA."

 

"I'll stay for a bit, but as long as you don't start to die again, i'm going to need to go back to the school sometime soon."

Katie grinned and shrugged, "Just an Oddish, I kept killing the damn things by mistake, normally I wouldn't bother with catching one cuz they're kinda weak, but I'm trying to, you know, catch em all so I need at least one." She gazed back at her Gameboy moving on, "I'm kinda a fangirl, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, PJO, the works." She shrugged, "I'm glad Minx would be OK, but I was wondering if you could take me back to Kadic, the sun is going down. But if not I'm content to chill here for awhile as long as I don't have to go anywhere near needles." She began rapidly pushing buttons and the battle music played from the Gameboy.

Jeremy looked at his watch and his eyes widened. He then looked a window and he sa the sun start it's descent. "Okay, I'll get you back to school." Jeremy said. "I may as well take Arti back too." He continued. He headed for the door but turned around when he saw a nurse walk up to Katie. "Dear, why don't you take that with you? Honestly, it's been here for ages and no-one seems to play it anymore. You mat as well take the games too. They'll be better with you anyway." The nurse told her.

 

Odd parked his motorcycle and took the helmet off his head. He looked at the hospital entrance and began to walk towards it. When he got inside, he just ignored the obviously scared receptionist and looked for the ICU.

With that, Arti made his way back to the school.

Katie grinned at the nurse, "No way thank you!" She surprised the nurse with a hug, if there was one rule to go by in life it was this: Never pass up free video games, unless of coarse it was from a creepy man at a yard sale, then, as creepypasta had taught her, it was probably cursed with some demon that would drive her insane/kill her. She took the small bin of games and waved goodbye to the nurse following Jeremy to ICU to get Arti and say goodbye to Minx.

"Hello, you must be Minx right?" Odd asked the purple-haired girl. The girl nodded and he saw her eyes widen in fear. Odd looked down at himself and laughed. "I must look scary don't I? My name's Odd. I'm a friend of Jeremy's." Odd smiled.

 

Jeremy walked in to find Arti and say bye to Minx when he saw Odd instead of Arti. "Odd? When did you get here?" Jeremy asked in surprise.

 

"Just now. I just walked past a frightened receptionist, You didn't threaten her with fake documents again, did you? Anyway, I'm just here for a quick visit." Odd replied.

 

Jeremy blushed a bit and scratched his head. "Yeah ..."

 

Minx's eyes widened in surprise when she saw Katie and Jeremy. "You two are here as well?" She asked them.

Katie nodded, "Hi Minx." She waved reluctantly walking into the room, she really hated doctor offices. "Ya, are you feeling any feel batter? They said you could leave in a few days." She gave a reassuring smile before shifting her weight wanting to leave the room more than anything.

"At least I can talk. It'll be good to get out of this hospital." Minx said. She sighed and leaned her head against the pillows.

 

"I'll stay here a bit longer. You'd better get her back to Kadic." Odd said. Jeremy nodded and went to go back out the ICU.

 

"Jeremy, wait. Arti wanted me to ask you what kind of job you have. He said that he would like to know since we're placing our trust in a complete stranger." Minx said. Odd looked at Jeremy as well.

 

"What job do you have? You haven't told us anything about what you do."

 

Jeremy tightened his grip on the doorframe but loosened it as he calmed down. "It's classified. We'll pick up Arti along the way. Come on Katie." Jeremy said finally.

Katie raised her eyebrow, a classified job, planting documents, whatever these guys were doing, it wasn't legal. She would have to decide weather this was good illegal or bad. But she just shrugged and followed Jeremy, content to just listen and put together what they were up to on her own time. She walked out of the room and saw Arti.
