Jeremy walked out the hospital but stopped when he saw that Katie wasn't by his side. He went back in and found her with Arti. "Arti? I thought ... nevemind. Do you want me to take you back to the school? Jeremy asked him.

Arti shrugged, "Sure, I guess. I was planning on going to the factory before, yes. But now I'm too deep in paranoid thought, so my subconscious would drie me nuts if I got near one of those scanners again."

 

"But yes, it'd be nice if you took me back there, otherwise, i'll keep in contact."

Jeremy breathed a sigh of relief. He'll get them back to school,and then he'll continue working in the factory. "Follow me then." Jeremy said and led them to his car. Once he was sure they were both buckled in, he began driving back to the school. "What do you think of your first day at Kadic?" Jeremy asked them.

 

The nurse gently shook Odd awake. "Excuse me, sir? Visiting hours are over." Odd woke up and looked at the ICU.

 

"So they are, I'll check back tomorrow." The nurse smiled, nodded and gestured for Odd to leave. Odd didn't like that smile but he left anyway, it was about time he got home anyway.

Katie made sure she had all her belongings in order before following Jeremy and Arti from the hospital. She didn't speak much during the trip as her mind was drifting between trying to figure out what the hell was happening in real life, including how her aunt and uncle would react when they found out she snuck away from school to go to a hospital with a strange man because a computer virus wanted her dead for some reason. And well she was considering this, she also had on her mind a doctor who harry potter crossover fanfic she wanted to write. She didn't even say a word on the car ride back, she was too busy staring out the window and just thinking. @,

 Dex went through various names and numbers in the school's database. "Man, they really need to clean this out,They have numbers of students from 30 years ago." he said. After some time sifing through names, he came across one that he recognized, "Arti, huh." he punched in Arti's number into his cell, and called.

 

"Arti? It's Dex. Don't ask how I got your number, I won't tell. Anyway, did you hear anything about Minx in the hospital?" He asked

Katie got out of Jeremy's car and gave him a quick hug goodbye, leaving him and Arti outside she went to go find her dorm. It was listed on her schedule which she hadn't even looked at until now. She sat in the mostly empty main room sipping on vending machine coffee, and looked over her schedule. Her classes were pretty common, Math, Science, Language arts, History, Gym, and Creative Writing. She would probably only pass creative writing. She looked at her dorm number listed by her name and began heading toward it. Safe to say she was shocked when she met her roommate, for a second time. Whisper lied passed out on the lower bunk of the bed, Rush sat nearby, he hadn’t left her side, cute. She handed Rush whispers schedule she had picked up earlier that day and climbed to the top bunk where she could better drink her coffee and maybe start typing up her fanfiction on the writing app on her phone, “So,” she asked giving her new Gameboy a fitting place at the foot of the bed, “How was your day Rush?” @@Alex Kennedy,@@RunsWithSquirlz,

Rush grinned. "Better than you might think. Even hung over and passed out, Whisper looks so beautiful when she's asleep. I could just sit and watch her for hours. Which is kind of creepy, now that I think about it, but it's true all the same. And I'm glad you two are roommates. I know I can trust you to look after her when I'm not around."

Katie blushed, "Aww, thanks! That is super sweet! And, yes your right, the part about you watching her sleep is kinda creepy, but uh, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! My day on the other hand wasn't as fun, but I did get a free gameboy out of it, so, you know, not all of it sucked." She shrugged nonchalantly typing a few words of her fanfiction into her phone, before looking back down at the boy, "I went to visit Minx, the doctors say she will be out of th hospital in a couple weeks, maybe less. "Here you go. I'm heading back to the factory. You'd better answer that phone, it could be important." Jeremy said to Arti. He had heard Arti's phone ring. Jeremy then saw Katie run off to the school and waited for Arti to get out. Once he did, Jeremy then drove over to the factory and went down the elevator.

 

He then sat in the computer chair and typed a few commands in to resume working on the program he thought of earlier.

Rush nodded. "That's good to hear. I was really worried about her, especially considering how useless I was when she was having an attack last night. And personal feelings aside, if we end up having to go back into Lyoko, we'll need everyone, her included, to help fight."

Katie shrugged, "Don't worry about that, you reacted to the situation in an understandable way,the attack was sudden pressure and fear, nobody reacts well to that. The only reason I was able to do ANYTHING was because I had experience with heart attacks before and I had prepared myself to be ready at any moment." She stopped and stared at her phone for a second, biting her lip in concentration, "random question," she said to Rush, "who would be a best ship with the doctor? I'm thinking River Song or Rose at this point, but in the time zone I'm writing in, he doesn't know River well yet." @@Alex Kennedy,

((I've seen all of one episode ever, and I wasn't really paying attention. I tried google, but it wasn't much help. That feeble joke is the best I can do.))

Katie gave a little giggle, "Exactly." She responded, "sorry for putting you on the spot there, to be honest, I wasn't really expecting much of an answer, no offence but you don't seem like much of a Whovian." Out of habit she glanced down at her wrists, good still no tallies. "But in case you were wondering, I'm going with River." She typed in a few more words before glancing at the window, the sun had already gone down. "Are you spending the night by the way? I won't tell if you do, but it's getting late. You can sleep on the couch in the corner if you want." She gestured to the small green couch in the corner before a stroke of genius drove her to rapid typing on her phone. @@Alex Kennedy,

Rush shrugged. "I've heard of it, I guess. Not really my thing. I don't watch all that much TV in the first place, honestly." He thought for a while about the possibility of staying over. "Well, the thought had crossed my mind, certainly, and I'm in a room by myself, so nobody would notice I was gone, but if somebody found out, and word got around... my reputation is set already, but I wouldn't want rumors spreading about either of you two, if you know what I mean. Of course, I appreciate the invitation. I'll stay for a while at least, and hopefully Whisper will wake up for a bit so I can see how she's feeling. If not, I just might stay until morning."

"Well if you want to stick around I have no problem with it. Frankly I detest rumors, they don't mean anything in the long run. Honestly no one will be sitting around 50 years from now gossiping about their old classmates. I say let them talk, they just want something to gossip about and frankly I don't care about their opinions enough to let it effect me." She smiled, but then frowned, "Whisper on the other hand, I don't know, she may be more effected by rumors from others than I am, you'd have to ask her about it." Katie shrugged, than said jokingly, "if we get caught we can always play with time travel, the super computer seems to be able to do that." @@Alex Kennedy,

Rush nodded. "That's about how I feel about gossip, and anyway, I certainly wouldn't let concern for my own reputation stop me from doing something. But I really don't know how Whisper would feel. I wouldn't want anything I do to hurt her, after all. But until she wakes up and I can talk to her, I intend to stay by her side."

"Creepy, but, OK then." Katie finished off the last of her coffee and focused on typing. She was able to bust out an entire chapter within the span of an hour, but then decided that near all of it was crap and resorted to revising. After awhile she looked down from the top bunk to see Rush, still sitting on the floor with his head resting at the foot of Whispers bed. Rush looked up. "Me? Yeah, I'm awake. I doubt I'll be doing much actual sleeping tonight. I have a lot on my mind, what with Minx, and Lyoko, and everything else. Last night was the same way. If you want me to leave so you can sleep, I'd understand. It wouldn't be the first time I got kicked out of a girl's room."

"Nah, you can hang out here if you want. I'm not going to sleep much anyway." She held out her empty coffee cup, "Sleeping is for people who don't get constant nightmares." She typed into her phone well on to chapter two, the story was coming along nicely but she needed something more...it needed, conflict!

 

The door opened. A teacher stood stood in the doorway, "Your lights should be out ladies..." Then he saw Rush, and glared tapping his foot on the floor. "What, young man, are you doing here."

Rush had been through this kind of thing before, and he always had an excuse prepared. "Well you see, I got locked out of my room, and my roommate isn't coming back with the key until tomorrow morning, so my friends were kind enough to allow me to sleep in here. I know it doesn't entirely follow the rules, but they're also still getting used to this place, and they thought they'd feel more comfortable if they had a big guy like me in here looking out for them. You know how hard it can be when students first start living away from their parents, after all. So it was a beneficial situation for all of us to have me stay in here."

The teacher glared, then gave a devilish smile, "Really, you got locked out of your room? Well then, why not show me this 'locked dorm', if it is really locked, I'll open the door for you," he held up a silver key on his chain "But, if it is not locked, or I find that you don't have a roommate, all 3 of you will be in detention for 1 week."@@Alex Kennedy,

Rush slowly got up, shaking his head. "Sir, your lack of trust wounds me. To think that I wouldn't do something as scandalous as this without good cause... but if you insist on making a big fuss about it and waking up everyone in the dorm, I suppose I can show you." And now this was the part where Rush's past experience might come in handy. "I warn you though, my roommate was messing around with the door earlier, and I think he might have tampered with the lock. To be frank, he seemed like a troublemaker, sir. But if you insist on seeing for yourself, very well. Follow me." As Rush began to head down the hall, he could barely keep from grinning. He always switched around the lock on his door to make sure no-one could bother him in the event that he was engaged in rather private activities with a female visitor.

 

 

Whisper shot up, hair disheveled and yelled "Rose!" before stopping herself and looking around. She glanced over at Rush, who was by the end of her bed up to Katie and then turned slowly to look at the teacher. Whisper looked back down at her hands folded over her lap.

 

"Sorry..." she squeaked out.

The teacher followed Rush before leaning at his bedroom door, he knew he had caught the kid in a lie, he said smugly, "So, your dorm mate won't be back til morning huh? So tell me, how did he mess with the lock? Further, if he did mess with the lock, and he was here, than where is he now and why can't he open the door? Students shouldn't be off campus this time of night unless they are with their parents as I'm sure you know. I will have to talk to his parents about him sneaking off and for messing around with school property. He will be harshly punished. If you would, answer me this, what is his name?"

She groaned and rubbed her eyes. One moment she was with Rush and the next she's discussing fan-fiction. Whisper yawned before answering "Depends which Doctor we're talking about...did I miss anything?"

 

She stood and closed the door to their room and shuffling over to her closet.
