Dart munched on some of his food. He swallowed the bite before responding. "My day's been pretty quiet too but on the plus side, I got phone numbers from a couple of cute girls." Dart said with a grin. He then saw that the other boy wasn't speaking much. "G'Day mate. I'm Dart. What's yours?" Dart asked as he held his hand out doe him to shake.

Katie nodded at Angelinx's suggestions, "I could manage a wall." She wasn't sure if that was a full truth, on the account that her head was spinning from the power usage, honestly she was running on adrenalin now, and coffee. She took a breath and imagined walls surrounding the areas where the sea was. Her powers allowed her to create them, but this time the creation wasn't a block of snow of a small fortress, it was pure ice. The walls went up, huge curved slides of ice, if one were to fly into one, they would simply slide back into the arena. Perfect. But Katie had reached her limit. She sat down, the place spinning like crazy.

 

 

"Well as long as they're being safe." Aelita muttered tiredly,

 

Will whispered into her ear, "Ask him on a date." He said excitedly.

 

Aelita glared at Will and pushed him away, earning a grin from the annoying William, but she took his advice. "Do you want to go out for dinner sometime? Just you and me?" She asked.@,

Angelinx saw Katie put an around up around them. When Katie sat down, Angelinx knelt next to her. "You okay Katie?" Angelinx asked concernedly.

 

Minx and Devilinx looked at the walls around them. "Well, at least we can't fall into the Digital Sea now." Minx commented.

 

Jeremy thought the offer over for a bit. "That sounds nice. When and where?" Jeremy asked. He couldn't believe that Aelita asked him on a date but it would be nice for just the two of them.

 

"Hi Ben. Nice to meet ya." Dart replied in kind. He took his hand away and munched some more on his food.

Katie blinked, using her powers brought on a surge of adrenalin but it was ill placed as it just made her head rush. Like a rollercoaster ride, dizzy, pukey, and thrilled. It actually made her kinda giddy. She gave a tired laugh and dragged in a ragged breath, "Y-ya, I'm fine" She giggled, part of her wanting to lie down and take a nap, but the other part of her won over. She stood and focused on the falling snow, it turned to hail and focused on the walls of her opponents fort, killing near all their defense. "Fire away!" She said to Angelinx, pointing to the cubes of snow around their walls.

 

Aelita smiled and gave a laugh, unbelievably happy that he had accepted her offer, "Oh, I don't know, we can just walk around the city until we find someplace to eat. I'm good for anywhere." She was now absentmindedly wondering around the house, grinning into the phone. @,

She shook her head while staring at her pasta "It's not that important, honestly I'm more worried about my classes. The only reason I'm here is because of a scholarship. So if I fail, I leave..." Whisper couldn't even conjure up what life would be like after all of this. "We should go to class" she said with a stuffed mouth "Then we go afterschool, when my swim meet is over, 'kay?".

"Good." Angelinx smiled and then got up. Gathering up some of the cubes, she put her own spin on firing. Teleporting behind the duo, she fired a few cubes at Devilinx and a few at Minx then she teleported back.

 

"Jesus that stings!" Devilinx shouted. She got up a few ice cubes from their side of the field and punched them towards Angelinx and Katie. The ice cubes that she punched had been electrified by Minx.

 

Jeremy leaned back in the chair. "Walking around the city sounds like a good start. Uuh what time should we meet up?" Jeremy asked nervously. He's never been on a date before but he'd be willing to try it with Aelita.

Aelita smiled "I can pick you up if you want, of vise verse, as for when, well my next...meeting is set for next week, I can probably bend my schedule near any way from now to then, so how about maybe, tomorrow? Around Noon? Unless you want breakfast than, maybe 8am?" She looked over at Will who had her schedule memorized, he gave a thumbs up at the time. @,

"Around noon sounds good Aelita." Jeremy agreed with the time. He sighed and looked at what the new warriors were doing. 'Are they still doing the snowball fight? They must be having a lot of fun then.' Jeremy thought to himself.

 

Angelinx saw that the ice cubes were going to hit her so she teleported out of the trajectory. In retaliation, she threw some ordinary snowcubes back at them.

Katie ducked away from the incoming snowcubes, her vision was swimming now, but pure excitement ran through her veins. She stomped her foot on the ice, and it sprung to life, a humongous block of pure ice flew like a bat out of hell away from her base and straight to the enemy's. She giggled, the pure power felt amazing, maybe even addicting. Her common sense yelled at her to take it easy, but she didn't want to. With the block hovering over the other base, Katie snapped her fingers and the block broke into a million blocks. Pelting down on the other team. @,

Devilinx and Minx both ducked for cover but found that there wasn't any. Getting a bit panicky, Minx electrified the area around them and managed to turn most of the ice block to slush.

 

"Okay, I think it's time to devirtualise Devilinx at least." Angelinx told Katie. She was starting to get worried for her.

"Devitalize, right," Katie said through giggles "but if they get pissed at me, remember that it was so your idea." She created a mass of ice spikes, the edge only tinted with the acidic black ice.Her vision was still swimming, but she could...since she supposed, the life forces on the other side, much like before when Xana had possessed her. She launched the spikes at Develinx, they struck her and she devirtualized. Once she did, the spikes faded, the black ice disappeared completely, the ice itself becoming a puddle. For a second Katie felt herself black out, then she was sitting on the floor, shivering, very down from the previous high. "Whoa." She said to herself, feeling now only like taking a nap. She stood up, still ready to fight, but not willing to use magic again. "So," she said to Angelinx, shaking the dizzy tiredness from her head, unsuccessfully, "What next?"

Rush nodded. "Alright, if class is important to you, that's fine. It's up to you anyway; I'm just tagging along. I'll probably go lift weights while you're at your swim meet. Meet me there when you're done and I'll drive you to the orphanage. Does that sound alright?"

Angelinx looked at Katie with concern. "You sure you okay? You don't look so good. Uum maybe we should head back to Earth." Angelinx said uneasily. She wanted to look after Katie but at the same time she knew that Kate wouldn't want to.

 

Minx looked at the place where Devilinx was. "Jeez. Remind me not to get on her bad side." Minx said to herself. She walked over to them and looked at them. "What's going to happen now?" She asked.

"Oh, hey Minx, sorry, I got a bit carried away." Katie said with a tired smile, realizing that she had messed up, it was a fun mess up, but a mess up. Randomly, her head swam. All of the snow and ice disappeared, leaving the group to take a fall about 2 inches down. "Good game." She said, her voice up an octave, "I had fun."

 

"See you at noon then!" Aelita said, butterflies in her gut. Williams phone started beeping, signaling another  call on the line, she frowned, "I got to go, call you in the morning.

"Great. See you then." Jeremy said. He hung up and placed the phone back in his pocket. "Alright you three. I'm devirtualising you and you can't make me change my mind." Jeremy said. He input the commands and hit enter to devirtualise them.

 

Angelinx frowned at Katie before she got devirtualised with Minx. When the scanner opened, Minx stepped out and clutched her head. "That's why Hellinx set the Forest Sector on fire." Minx said to herself.

Katie felt herself devirtualize and she stepped into the real world again, tired, but not nearly as much as she was, "That was fun!" She said, wondering why Jeremy had chosen to devirtualize them now. "What about Hellinx starting the fires?" She asked Minx, worried that Minx might be mad at her for devirtualizing 2 of her personalities.@,

Minx nodded eagerly. "Yeah it was, I loved it!" Minx said enthusiastically. She sat on the bottom step of the scanner and looked up at Katie. "It was Codely that made Hellinx set the forest on fire. He said that Hellinx wasn't real on Earth, That she wasn't her own person and that she didn't have her own body." Minx said sadly. She felt sorry FOR Hellinx.

"Sounds good to me." she smiled. "Okay! At least I wash the plates!" Whisper gathered the dishes and left-overs, balancing them carefully.

Now that it was sometime in the afternoon, Genesis sat at a bar swishing a cup of scotch in her hand. She listened to the clinking of the ice against the glass as she thought about Lyoko. Even there she had been called weak, she had been looked down upon. She had been beaten by a nobody.

 

Weak...

 

Genesis knocked the scotch back and gasped. Clenching her fists and embedding the metal of her rings deeper into her thin fingers.

Katie frowned and looked at the floor guiltily, "Sorry I destroyed Hellinx. It was kinda an accident," That was a stupid thing to say, you don't just blast someone with poison on accident. But she just sighed and continued with her apology. "And also Develinx, sorry I blasted her. I got caught up in the game, and Angelinx told me it would be a good idea." She regretted the words as soon as they were out, excuses, excuses, she was trying to make friends right? "And for what it's worth, Hellinx is real, as real as you and me, she's part of you, but she's her own person." She was blushing now wondering if she was making things better or worse. @,

Minx waved a hand at Katie's words. "No need to apologise. It's fine." Minx said. She then got up and gave Katie a hug. "Thank you," Hellinx whispered in her ear. She let go of her and sat back down. "What do you want me to do? I can't just talk to them on command. They won't listen to me." Minx said, seemingly forgotten about the hug Hellinx just gave Katie.

Katie couldn't keep a little smile off her face, "It's cool, I think they heard." She said softly, "c'mon, let's go see what Jeremy's been up to." She blushed, "If that's cool with you I mean." She offered Minx a hand. @,

 

Ben listened to the boys talk over the lunch, munching quietly on his food. Then something occurred to him, "Hey, Alphonse, you said you knew Katie, but she wasn't in your classes, how do you know her? @@Suitaloo,

Minx took the offered hand and got up from the floor. "Okay then. I actually want to know why he pulled us out of Lyoko like that. But it's fine." Minx said to Katie. She smiled at her and went to walk but then remembered that she was still holding on to Katie's hand. Quickly letting go, she placed her hands in the pockets of her denim jacket and blushed slightly.

Katie Returned the blush, sticking her own hands in her pockets but enjoying Minx's company all the same. The two made their way to the elevator and waited until the door opened. Then they waited until they got to the next floor. Seeing Jeremy at the computer, Katie asked him, "So what was with the rush? Do you have somewhere to be?" She had a sneaking suspicion that the reason he devitalized them was because of Katie's power surges, which made her feel like crap for ruining everyone's fun. But she didn't voice this concern. Jeremy looked happy, maybe nervous, "Did you get some good news?" Katie asked with a smile. @,

Minx looked at the ground until she heard Katie speak to Jeremy. It was then she looked up from the floor to focus her attention on Jeremy.

 

"I don't have anywhere to be. I devirtualised you because of your power surges. Don't worry, everything's fine. I just didn't want you to unintentionally hurt yourself or Minx." Jeremy explained. His face turned into a confused look at Katie's other question. "Good news? What good news?" Jeremy asked in confusion.

Inwardly, Katie flinched, like her worse fears were confirmed, she was always getting into trouble like this, ruining everyone's fun. Oh well, she'd get better right? She put on a smile fighting down the lump of self hate that could blossom into a panic attack and said, "You just seem to be in a good mood is all." She shrugged, "I'm good at picking up on things like that," She muttered the next part "or maybe bad at it if there's nothing." She cleared her throat, "Um, about that party I proposed earlier, do you want to set something up? Get everyone together somehow?" Her smile wavered slightly, but she didn't let it show much.
