"Hmm, that's funny." Genesis mumbled while scratching underneath her chin. "Why are you acting so nervous? Was it from a secret admirer?" she chuckled to herself. Genesis was completely unused to giving gifts, especially ones she paid for. She never put her name or any indication it was her. But this time she had left a damning clue. Stuck to the inside of the bag had been a piece of paper with "Sorry." scribbled in cursive.

Whisper smiled at Rush but was gone once she spotted the pizza. She zoomed over and stuffed her face with the cheesiest slice she could find.

Katie looked over at Rush and grinned, "I'm good, just got done playing Minx in video games." She gave a blushed smile, "She's tough, I need practice." She muttered the words than changed the subject, "So what have you and Whisper been up to since the last RttP?" She grabbed herself a soda and sipped on it, waiting for his answer. @@Alex Kennedy,

"No, I don't know who-" Minx stopped speaking as she thought back to the bag and realised that there was something. She thought it had been a note, nothing special except for the word 'Sorry.'. "You? You're the one that gave me the perfumes? I thought you never gave gifts." Minx said in disbelief. How could she not have seen it before? Of course it was from Genesis. She drank some of her soda and turned to Jeremy when she heard him clear his throat.

"Now that everyone is here, I want to show you all something. Come over to the computer." Jeremy beckoned everyone over while he sat in the chair.

Rush shrugged. "Oh, you know.... stuff. Not a whole lot you'd be interested to hear, really. She ends up cleaning my room every time we go there to hang out. So there's that, and kissing. And food. There's been a lot of food. So yeah, nothing too interesting."

Rush approached the computer. "What is it?"

Genesis said nothing but turned a noticeably deeper shade of pink. "Don't know what you're talking about, mate." she mumbled. Then Jeremy called for their attention and she sauntered over; leaning against his chair.

Dex arrived at the party a little late. He didn't really want to come but thought it would be for the best to at least show up. Who knows, maybe something would happen. Regardless, he brought his laptop in case he got too bored. As soon as he walked in, he saw Jeremy calling everyone over, so he joined them to see what was up.

Minx saw Genesis's face turn noticeably pink but she didn't pirsue the mater any further. She picked up her sofa can and walked over to Katie. "Katie, if you want to find out what the surprise is then come over to the computer. I'm thinking Jeremy wants everyone tere so that he only has to tell it once." Minx told her before sipping from her can.

Katie nodded at Minx's words and went over to the computer with the others. She stood next to Dex and gave the boy a whispered 'hello' than she looked at Jeremy, "So what is up?" She asked, looking everybody over and sipping on her soda.

 

Ben had decided on taking a walk, he went around the school grounds and bummed in the forest.

"Great. Now that everyone is here I can show you this." Jeremy clickedd on the appropriate programs and pulled up the camera to let them see what the Battle Arena. "This is the Battle Arena. It's something I designed to help you control you powers. It's in a completely isolated part of the uper computer so XANA can't get to it." Jeremy informed them.

Rush listened and thought about the idea of an arena for a while. "That sounds pretty cool, but... If we're going to be fighting against each other, maybe I should sit this out. I tend to get too worked up with anything competitive. I don't know, maybe I'll make an exception since this is important training."

Genesis yawned and continued drinking her soda, seemingly uninterested and wondering if pop was all they had to drink.

Whisper smiled widely. She felt comfortable in stadiums, arenas and all athletic areas. "Fantastic! Great job Jeremy!"

"I can help you train!" Whisper giggled to Katie. "I promised, remember?" she smiled.

"It's OK. We're all virtual anyways so it doesn't hurt. It's better to train as a team anyway to prevent mishaps on the field." Whisper assured Rush. I've never been de-virtualized by attack...well not yet. she thought.

Minx turned to Genesis and saw an uninterested look on her face. "You're not interested in this Genesis? It sounds like fun to me." Minx told her. It really did sound like fun and if they could work as a team in the Battle Arena then there's no reason as to why they shouldn't be able to in Lyoko.

Katie returned the quiet giggle and wrapped Whisper in a cutesy hug. "Hee hee, Thank's Whisper." she said, than she said to Jeremy, Weill still hugging Whisper, "This is an epic idea! So what are the rules to this? Do we get to fight each other, test our powers and stuff? Of is it more for sword fighting and archery and stuff?" @@RunsWithSquirlz, @,

"The rules are. You test your powers against each other in a tournament-style fight. I thought it was a fun way to help you out. If you lose, you'll get devirtualised and have to watch the rest of the fights from here. For the people who are waiting, they stand or sit in floating bleachers which follow the fighters movements." Jeremy said.

 

He moved the camera to pan across the Battle Arena. "As you can see, I've made the Battle Arena roughly half the size of an ordinary sector. So you have freedom to move around. The best part about this is that the Arena changes. Depending on where you are, tere's different terrain for all sorts of scenarios." He finished up. Then he looked at all of them. "Who wants to go in the Battle Arena?"

She looked over at Minx and just gave her a small smile. "I'll be going then, into the Arena." Genesis told Jeremy. Now fighting she was good at.

"Fighting each other?" Whisper repeated uneasily. She shook her head, it was a great idea. "Okay, I'll go in too. This is great!"

Rush nodded. If this was going to happen anyway, he was going to be part of it. He just needed to control himself and not lose his temper if things were starting to get too competitive.  "Alright, if Whisper's going, I'm going. I don't suppose there's a possibility of team fights, is there?"

"There will be team fights, just not right away. You need to.figure.out how to use your own powers and what works best first before fighting in a team." Jeremy told him.

 

"I think I'll go too. Are my personalities allowed to fight too?" Minx aske hesitantly. He didn't know if it was an unfair advantage or not.

 

Jeremy nodded at her question. "Of cours they can fight. Fhey may be a part of you out here but in Lyoko, they are three different people seperate from you. Even if the four of you share the same look." Jeremy told Minx.

 

Minx sighed and smiled. She was worried that it would just be her going into the Battle Arena and the others had to miss out because of that.

"Hmph...cool." Genesis grunted and sauntered over to the snack table. She took out a small flask and drank some of it before putting it away and grabbing another soda. She tried not to think about the enclosed tube that she had to get in and decided to drink a little more. "Is there a prize or something?" she asked Jeremy from across the room.

Jeremy heard Genesis from across the room so he got up out of his chair and calmly walked over to her. "Prizes? I haven't really thought about giving a prize out." He grinned and scratched the back of his head. "I know the prize! A vehicle. I can program a vehicle for the winner so that getting around Lyoko is easier. Jeremy said finally.

Katie stopped hugging Whisper and raised her hand, jumping up and down like a hyperactive puppy, "ooh ooh can I go first? Like right now? I call Whisper as a sparing partner! Her eyes shone, ever since she had left Lyoko, the urge to go back was stronger and stronger. She really, really wanted to fight. @,@@RunsWithSquirlz,

"Hm that's cool." she replied placidly. Genesis stuck a pretzel around a her pinky and swiveled it around a little. "But let's spice it up. Last place has to wear a wig for a whole week. In real life." she chuckled to herself. The pink a deeper shade.

"How 'bout you, Sailor? Going in to fight?" she looked over at Dex.

Whisper smiled at her enthusiasm.

Jeremy laughed at the prize that the loser would get. "That sounds funny. Okay. That sounds like a good last place prize to me." Jereny said. He then went back to the computer and sat down. "It appears that everyone is ready to go in except for Dex. Hmm. The five of you go in and I'll get everything else set up." Jeremy informed them. He watched them leave and got everything set up for them to be virtualised in the Battle Arena.

 

Minx smiled and followed everyone else to the scanner room.

"Like I'd miss this." Dex said to Genesis. This arena seemed like a good idea. He really wanted to test it out.

"I'm into this." Dex then said to Jeremy. He then went to The scanner room and stepped inside one of them. "Anytime you're ready Jeremy."

Rush followed the others to the floor below and got in a scanner. He still wasn't too sure about this whole thing, but training was important when the whole world was on the line. "Alright Jeremy, I'm ready to go."

Before the tube closed, he gave Whisper a last, reassuring smile. "See you on the other side."
