Minx looked over at Genesis after studying the picture and name. Walking over to her bag, she picked up a book out of ehr book and began to read it but after looking at Genesis and back to the rather thick book she was holding, Minx got a better idea. "Hmm. I wonder." Devilinx said to herself. Then taking aim, she threw the heavy book at Genesis in an attempt to wake her up.

Whisper stared at Katie strangely. To her, Katie was speaking babble and the face at the end didn't help either. All she knew she caught was "Benny". "The...the guy on the cellphone?" she asked dragging herself out of bed.

The book hit her, which caused Genesis to bolt out of bed holding the blanket around herself. She looked around frantically before calming down and setting her eyes on Minx "Wot no breakfast in bed? Is this what our marriage come down to....might need to file for a divorce" she yawned through the last part. Genesis plopped back down on her mattress and rubbed her eyes. "Ughhhhh it's still light outside..."

Katie blinked when Whisper stared at her, then she realized what she was doing, "Oh, was I speaking English? oopsy daisy" She laughed, "What I met to say was, I crashed in Ben's room last night, and how was your date."

Devilinx laughed. "I didn't think that would actually work. A divorce huh? We've barely even started and you already want a divorce? Oh well." Devilinx shrugged and went to pick her book up from Genesis's bed. "What do you mean still light? Yeah, it's light outside but if we close the curtains, then it's dark. See?" Devilinx demonstrated by closing the open curtains.

While Whisper and Katie got dressed and ready for classes, Whisper gave her a casual retelling of the nights events while trying not to sound dreamy about it. She left out the part about where they had gotten a little drunk and some embarrassing stuff she had said. She had a smile on her face the whole time and found herself excited for classes.

 

"You stayed in his room...?Are you two...lovers?" she asked innocently.

"Oh I missed you sweetie, you're my favorite so far. Haven't met the new one quite yet" Genesis shielded her eyes from the flashing daylight. She nursed her swollen hand and took a few more pills "I've been meaning to speak with you about something"

Devilinx turned around from the closed curtains to sit down on her bed. "Trust me. You do not want meet the new one. She only comes out when Minx notices one of her friends being abused or herself." When Devilinx remembered what happened with Genesis and Whisper, she briefly got an angry look on her face but then her expression returned to normal. "What di you want to talk to me about?" Devilinx asked her.

Unless you count me She thought, "I've known him since preschool, and slept in his bed on more than one occasion. We sit around and watch movies, play video games, and plot the downfall of government. He's my best friend." She looked at her baggy hoodie and ripped jeans, "But I do look like a proper candidate for the walk of shame huh?" She chuckled, "Can't wait to hear this years batch of rumors." She shrugged and started digging through her half unpacked suitcase for clothes.

Rush emerged from the showers feeling slightly less groggy, albeit still mildly hung over. He thought about going to see Whisper, but he decided to give her some space. He'd see her in class anyway, and he didn't want her getting sick of him. He headed down to the cafeteria and, not seeing any of the other members of the Lyoko group, sat at a table by himself. Come to think of it, he wondered when he'd get his next chance to go to Lyoko.

"Huhwhowha?" Whisper stumbled over her words. Had Katie really just said that? "In his bed...you sleep in his bed. Are you together in the bed?" Whisper looked serious. She had no idea what kind of friendship Katie had with this Ben but it seemed very strange to her. "He doesn't even try to...you know." she made a vulgar motion with her hands quickly.

"What in the bloody hell is going on over at the factory eh? How come I had to do the day over again?" she wore an annoyed expression. "Don't tell me you don't know, Muscles and the weird guy came by here especially for you. Muscles was at the factory and I heard you speaking with the bloke on the computer."

Katie didn't know if she should walk away from this conversation, or justify it. She went with option B. "No, no, not even close.We're friends, but not, ew." she paused and when she spoke next her tone was softer, "We had a hard childhood, ran away a lot, spent more time playing truth or dare in our club house than we did at school, or our homes." Her eyes got a far away look, tinged with both happiness and sadness, but she shook it off, "and in case you're wondering, yes, I did sleep in his bed last night, but apparently I kicked him off in the middle of the night, cuz he ended up on the floor." She laughed, "And no, he tried nothing. We are both very very content with the friend-zone trust me. Besides, I've helped him search out enough potential dates, I'm not his type." Whisper squinted her eyes at Katie and thought about what her friend said. She wasn't one to doubt people but it felt like something was being left out. As long as Katie was happy so was she. Whisper decided to save her judgement for when she actually met Ben. "I'm sorry Katie, I hope I didn't offend you. It's just very different for me." She was ready to head to the cafeteria and swept up her bag "We have to keep Lyoko a secret from him right? I really hope he doesn't ask me, I'm terrible at lying!".

"Right. The factory. Okay then. Let's see if I can actually get this right. The factory has a a super computer in it and what's in the super computer is a whole virtual world. Also inside the factory are these scanners that scan you into the computer. Jeremy, the guy on the computer, calls it virtualising. You get virtualised and then you land on this world called Lyoko." Devilinx said. She's trying the best she can to explain what goes on at the factory. "Okay. Remember what happened before we went back in time? The acid rain? That was cause by a computer virus named XANA. And according to Jeremy, XANA is now stronger than ever. Any questions?" Devilinx explained whatever else she had to.

Whisper squinted her eyes at Katie and thought about what her friend said. She wasn't one to doubt people but it felt like something was being left out. As long as Katie was happy so was she. Katie realized she had left her bag in Ben's room and shrugged, he'd bring it to her. She followed Whisper out the door, stopping only for a second to swoop into the bathroom and change, she'd get a proper shower later that night. "Nah," she responded, "If I ask him not to poke around, he won't. I'm just about the only person he listens too." She grinned, "me and him are tight that way. It will be hard keeping the secret from him tho." She frowned, "But I'm sure I'll be fine." The two arrived at the cafeteria and Katie took a seat next to rush, not really wanting food.

Rush looked to Whisper and then back to Katie before responding. "Uh... yeah. I mean, it was great. For the sake of Whisper's privacy, I probably shouldn't say too much about it. If she wants to share the details with you, that's up to her. But I will say it was probably the best night of my life. What about you? You weren't there when I picked Whisper up, or when I dropped her off."

Dart got up from his position on the bed. He walked over to Alphonse and looked at him while sleeping. "You really conked yourself out, huh mate? Hmm. There's gotta be a way for you to wake up. I know just what to do." Dart said to himself in English. He quickly walked out of the room and grabbed a glass. He filled it up to the brim with water from the bathroom. Carefully balancing it, he luckily didn't encounter any students on the way back. Carefully opening the door, he then closed it behind him and grinned. He then slowly poured water over Alphonse's head to wake him up.

She giggled, "I spent the night chillen with him, watched a lot of vulgar American cartoons and Doctor Who. passed out in his room by mistake. It was fun." She giggled again. "He bought me coffee."

Whisper was busily stuffing her face with various fruits while Rush and Katie spoke. She didn't mind at all if Rush had anything to say about their date. She kept rapt attention to Katie, interested in this Ben guy.

Rush nodded. "Sounds nice. Platonic?" Even as he talked, he found himself mostly just gazing at Whisper. She somehow managed to look beautiful even this early in the morning, and like last night, for whatever reason he enjoyed watching her eat. "Anyway, before you guys showed up I was wondering when we'd be back on Lyoko. Think it'll be soon? I hope it is."

"Mmm yeah!" she popped a grape in her mouth "I want to learn what the rest of my arrows can do. Oh! And Katie we have to draw our vehicles!". She sipped at her tea carefully "Ben is her best friend since forever. He transferred in yesterday I think, at least I can remember him being mentioned while I was in Lyoko".

Rush nodded. "Yeah, you guys have a lot more to experiment with than I do. I don't think I really have anything special besides whacking things with a hammer. I still want to keep training, though. And it's kind of fun, too." He grabbed his tray and stood up. "I'm going for seconds. Do either of you ladies want anything?

"Maybe you should ask Ben? Say it's for a fanfic or something?" Whisper referred to their vehicles. She had no idea what hers would be but either way would be fine without one. "And don't worry, if anything happens I got your back. It's all our secret." she nudged her.

 

"No thank you Rush, you've fed me enough for a while" she gave him a playful smile behind her orange slice.

Genesis waited patiently for Devilinx, brushing her hair in the meantime. When her roommate sat back down she was greeted by the new Inx "There you are, wonderin' when I'd meet you."

Rush nodded. "Very well, one orange juice coming up. But if you change your mind, I'll gladly share some of my food." He left and was back in what seemed like a matter of seconds, his plate piled high with food. He set a glass of orange juice down in front of Katie. "There you go."
