and was back in what seemed like a matter of seconds, his plate piled high with food. He set a glass of orange juice down in front of Katie. "There you go."

"Thank you rush." she said. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw Ben, she waved him over and he sat down.

 

"Hey Katie Kat!" He greeted, sitting down next to Katie and wrapping her in a one armed hug, "Ya left your bag at my place." He handed Katie her bag.

 

Katie hugged back, "Thanks Benny! These are my friends, Whisper and Rush," She grinned than added in English, "they are so in love." @@Alex Kennedy,

Rush wasn't a Rhode's scholar, but he could guess by Katie's face what she had been saying to Ben in English. He couldn't exactly deny it, so he just blushed and tried to change the subject. "Yeah, so I've heard a lot about you, Ben. And by a lot I mean nothing of substance, but apparently you and Katie have been friends since the dawn of time. A friend of hers is a friend of mine, I suppose."

"Katie! You did it again!!!" Whisper poked her friend. She had no idea what Katie said but if it was good enough to make Rush blush it was enough to freak her out.

 

"Anyway Ben I'm her roommate Whisper. Katie has said only good things, I promise." she popped a cherry in her mouth.

Dart got up from his position on the bed. He walked over to Alphonse and looked at him while sleeping. "You really conked yourself out, huh mate? Hmm. There's gotta be a way for you to wake up. I know just what to do." Dart said to himself in English. He quickly walked out of the room and grabbed a glass. He filled it up to the brim with water from the bathroom. Carefully balancing it, he luckily didn't encounter any students on the way back. Carefully opening the door, he then closed it behind him and grinned. He then slowly poured water over Alphonse's head to wake him up.

 

Alphonse sputtered to life and started wiggling all over his bed. "MERDE!" he shouted. "The fuck was that for Dart?" He was ready to hit him for that. "Unless there's something going on, I want to get back to sleep. I got hit in the jaw hard enough that it hurt and I need some rest."

"Very nice to meet you," Ben shook Rush's hand, "you too Whisper." He tipped his imaginary hat, "So besides me, what have you guys been talking about?" He leaned his head on his hands and waited.

 

Katie shrugged, suddenly nervous, they had been talking about Lyoko that's what "Um, you know, school and classes and stuff."

 

Ben raised an eyebrow "Don't lie Katie, it doesn't suit you."

 

Katie snorted a laugh, "says the boy who lies about everything." She cleared her throat, "Give me a break, I'm not allowed to say." She twirled her hair about and looked at him.

 

"Right then." Ben smiled. Then he turned to the others, "So, she won't tell me, what were you guys talkin 'bout?"

"She was just asking if last night I had fun with Rush is all" Whisper said smoothly "She was trying to get the details out of us, That's why it was kinda private." Whisper played it off well with an accompanying blush just thinking about it. "She was just making sure I was satisfied." she gulped, that part came out completely wrong.

Between Katie's inability to lie and Whisper's accidental innuendos, Rush decided he'd best take over. If nothing else, he had enough practice to divert the conversation. "Yeah, and we did have fun, but that's between us. But really, we mostly just talked about you. Because, you know, the absolutely nothing of substance that I've been told about you is so goddamn fascinating, and it's amazing how much I've heard about you without actually learning anything. But what I did learn is that apparently you two slept together, although if Katie's to be believed, it was only in the boring literal way." That, he figured, should be enough awkward to shut down the conversation pretty thoroughly.

"Oh Katie said we slept together did we?" Humor danced in Ben's eyes, To annoy Katie Ben waved his eyebrows. "Really Kat? Out of all the things you could brag about, you choose sharing a bed with a gay man?" 

 

Katie punched his shoulder "screw you!" 

 

"Anytime baby." He laughed, back in French, setting Katie's cheeks aflame "I'm gonna go get some food, want some?" He noticed that Katie was going without food today, something which he detested.

 

Katie rolled her eyes, "Yes, fine, get me some grapes."

 

Ben grinned and kissed Katie on the head, running off before she could sock him.

 

Katie grumbled to her friends, "I'm going to murder that boy one day."

Katie gave a smile, "You got that right, he can keep secrets, much better than I can at least. And no one in there right mind would believe all the things we've been through. Even if we told them, but if Ben told them, they wouldn't just disbelieve it, they'd actively protest it as a practical joke.

 

 

Whisper sat and stared at Katie for a while and then over to Ben and back to Katie. Something clicked in her mind and she broke out into a broad smile, leaning over to Katie she whispered " Even though I can't understand a word you say, I still understand."

Katie got her drift immediately, but was too annoyed to give an accurate response, "Understand what, that he's a butt face?""

Whisper zipped her lips and chuckled to herself. She gazed out of a large window and her mind drifted to Lyoko. Whisper wondered what X.A.N.A was doing. If it watched them somehow. Concern filled her eyes as she realized the magnitude of responsibility they all had. What would happen when they graduated and moved on? Got careers and had families? Her eyebrows knotted slightly.

 

There were those people from before. They had to come back, some had families too. I wonder if there's a way for X.A.N.A to go permanently?

Katie sighed when Ben came back and put a plate in front of her. "What's all this?" she asked gesturing to the breakfast bounty, 2 pancakes with a small serving of bacon and eggs, grapes on the side.

 

Ben raised his eyebrow, a mix of worry and amusement on his face as he sat down to his own plate. "Your breakfast, eat it all."

 

"You don't have to baby me Benny, I'm an adult I can eat what I want." She sounded like a child, but didn't really care.

 

"But I know you Kat, you eat for maybe 3 days at a time then stop for weeks on end. It's not healthy." He looked about the table, hoping Kats friends would back him up on this.

 

Katie blushed, really her eating habits weren't something she wanted voiced to the world. "Fine." She started on the bacon, realizing that she was pretty hungry. "I'll eat it for you."  @@RunsWithSquirlz,@@Alex Kennedy,

The girl on the bed sat cross legged and thought for a bit. "Hmm. How about ... Hellinx?" Hellinx responded. She smiled sadistically and laughed. "About time I emerged from Minx's mind. That girl has a lot of pent up anger. She should take it out on something." Hellinx stated.

"Ooh ouch. You got in the jaw? By who?" Dart asked as he cringed. He sat back down on his bed but then immediately got back up. "Look at the time. I'd say we head for breakfast. Don't you?" Dart again asked him a question.

Rush nodded. "Eat up. It's not good to starve yourself, and you don't really want to start the day on an empty stomach anyway, do you? That's why I was offering to share earlier. Food is good." As if to illustrate his point, Rush resumed stuffing himself with various breakfast meats

Genesis reeled back "Oi! You and lil' devil are vying for my heart!" she laughed. "That's why you joined Karate then? To relieve some pent up anger?" she shot up and got dressed; having taken a shower the night before. "Let's pop in the cafeteria so I can grab some ice".

Hellinx got up off the bed and followed her to the cafeteria. "Really? Me and Devilinx are vying for your heart? That's nice. Yeah. That's the reason I joined karate. To help Minx get rid of the anger that she has." Hellinx smiled. "What'chya need ice for? Ah. The hand. Who did you punch?" Hellinx asked happily. She liked punching people for no apparent reason. Either that or not doing a thing to stop people from hurting each other.

"It's interesting that Minx compartmentalizes so well-or terribly- that she creates a whole new Inx" Genesis remarked as she swiped a small ice bucket reserved for fruit cups and stuck her hand in it. After giving out a relaxed sigh she looked over at Hellinx and said "I was sparring with Muscles last night, nicked him in the jaw but fucked up my bloody hand".

Hellinx grabbed a croissant and walked to a table that was near Katie's group. "Heheheeh. You're right about Minx's compartmentalising abilities. They're so good that they create a new -inx. Or bad. Depends how you look at it." Hellinx said before munching on the croissant. "The hit the jaw explains to the hand. Is Muscles from kick boxing club?" Hellinx asked after swallowing the bite.

Rush shrugged. "Alright, as long as everything's fine. And you're still free to have some of my food if you want it. I think I overestimated my appetite a bit anyway." Rush pushed the plate over so that it was about halfway between the two of them. In truth, all of last night's wine and cheesecake was catching up to him, and he didn't want to throw up.

Katie was somewhat annoyed with Ben, it's not like she hated food, she just didn't really want anything for breakfast, she had days where she ate, and days where she didn't, but Ben was an advocate for a 'balanced diet.' She put on a smile, "Yes," She agreed with the group, "food is delicious." She finished off her pancakes and picked at her eggs, washing the food down with the last of the orange juice, Ben was satisfied, he had a clever way of getting his way. Katie neglected to eat, he call her out in front of her friends and make her eat. Of coarse he comes off as sweet and well intentioned, which he was. Katie was sure Ben would be a good politician, if he bothered with politics. "So, school, do you guys all like your classes?" Rush smirked. "You tell me. You're in half of them. Besides, I don't really care what class it is, I'm never going to be better than decent in it. Except gym, I guess, but even then, there's always the chance I accidentally hurt somebody or something. It wouldn't be the first time."

"I had some difficulties in science class 'cuz my last school had different course material but one of my classmates offered to tutor me, which is nice. Didn't our gym teacher say he was pairing us up with our 'Work-out buddy today?"

"Kick boxing. Huh. Okay then." Hellinx said. She looked over to Katie's table and watched them for a bit. "Who;s that guy? The one next to Katie?" She pointed to the guy sitting next to Katie. "I haven't seen him before." She continued. She finished the rest of her croissant and thought about what she could do on Lyoko. Most likely nothing.
