Angelinx sighed and let her arms hang by her sides. "Sorry Katie. I'm just trying to not think about everything that's happened. What you saw just then was me trying to become detached. It wasn't working for me at all." Angelinx said softly. She didn't even bother looking at Katie, she just kept looking at the ground. "Sorry about the shock I gave you. Since you asked some coffee may be good but I don't think I deserve it after what I just did to you." Angelinx said softly.

Katie smiled at the girl, "Don't be all self-hatey Angelinx, I've been there and it's not fun at all." She sighed and than she too sunk into the realm of mopey teenager, "you're awesome with your powers, and it makes since that once and awhile you let them get away from you. Me I just mess up all the time. I can't even get myself to summon snow, and I can barely kill monsters on purpose, and that's in game. I don't even want to think what would happen if I had those powers in the real world. I'd probably go the route of the ice king to be honest. You're at least able to keep yourself from using the powers when you don't need to most of the time." She sighed, "c'mon, let's go get coffee. Ben has an old school X-box in his room and a Harry Potter Quidditch game. Wanna spend the next hour playing?"

Angelinx flapped her mouth open a few times but nothing would come out. "I would like to play for the next hour. It will help us unwind." Angelinx managed to say happily. "Don't feel bad about you not controlling your powers. I think Jeremy has planned something just for the party, to help us with our abilities. Maybe that's why he's so secretive lately. Anyway, some video games sound fun." Angelinx said with a smile. She stills refused to look at Katie.

Rush grinned. If she could do it out of nowhere like that, so could he. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back in for another kiss. Honestly, he was thrilled that she was the one making the first move. He had been trying his best to take things slow and not scare her or force her into anything, and it was reassuring to see her initiating something on her own. Not to mention that frankly, he had been rather disappointed that until now their relationship hadn't really moved beyond the occasional peck on the cheek.

"Cool, let's go then!" Katie said, trotting merrily into the boys dorm wing. She recognized a few faces, kids who she had seen often on her way to hang out with Ben. They gave her strange looks, Katie was never around with anyone besides Ben. She waved at them and in seconds the two girls were sitting on the floor playing Quidditch in front of a very small TV screen. @,

Angelinx kept her head down the entire way to Ben's room "Will Ben mind if we use his game system?" Angelinx asked worriedly. They sat down and Angelinx looked up at the TV screen, still not making eye contact with Katie. She's afraid that if she will, then she won't be able to look away. "Old Xbox. Right. Harry Potter Quidditch? I don't think I've played it before." Angelinx said uncertainly.

"It is super duper fun!" Katie gushed, "The controls are a lot like football video games...oh, um, not soccer, American football." She clarified. "She showed Minx the controls, "Your position changes depending on where the game is, we can go through the tutorial first, then, I shall beat you at every aspect of the game." She grinned, "I always win over Ben. But I think he let's me win sometimes, so playing against you should be interesting." @,

Angelinx thought about it for a bit. She's actually never played video games but she knows what they and what they play like thanks to Minx and Devilinx. "Tutorial, then game. Maybe I'll be able to beat you on my first try." Angelinx said smugly. Playing a video game excited her and she was willing to try it.

Ben got up and said goodbye to Shadow before making his way to his bedroom, he needed a nap, honestly he didn't even want to hear weird words like Lyoko or XANA or Chaos Emerald. As he opened his door, he found Katie and Minx playing Harry Potter of all things. And Minx was winning. He sat on his bed and occupied himself by whispering the occasional tip, mostly to Minx.

 

Katie, annoyed at this, rapidly mashed the buttons on the controller.@,

"Told you I'd keep winning." Angelinx said kindly. She tilted her head back and found Ben on the bed. "Hi Ben." She tilted her head forwards again and kept playing the game. Occasionally listening to Ben but mostly won under her own skills.

 

Dart walked around the school, not really paying attention to anything besides girls and occasionally homework.

After blocking three shots in a row and scoring two goals, Katie was finally pulling in a lead, but just by barely. As the game went on a bit Minx advanced and the two were at a tie. She took a breath as the screen changed, the snitch, one catch on either side and it would be the game. She looked over at Minx than the chase started. @,

Angelinx looked over at Katie and saw that she was focused on the game. Turning back to the screen, Angelinx focused and mashed the buttons she needed to, to catch up to her. Now both girls were neck and neck for the snitch. "Come on. You can do it. You can do it." Angelinx muttered quietly to herself.

Katie's seeker swooped down to grab the snitch and would have made it if it weren't for the fricken bludger which knocked her away from he thing. Her beater was shit. The snitch zoomed off and hovered around Angelinx, Katie swerved her joystick and shot straight for the two, hoping the screen would pull a finisher, but Ben interrupted her with a poke to the head, Katie flipped around in annoyance, giving Angelinx the second she needed to win the match. As Katie turned back, the virtual crowed rang out in cheers for the victor.

 

"Ben I despise you." Katie hissed.

 

Ben laughed. "Someone had to beat you heart." @,

Angelinx threw her arms up in the air and whooped with joy. "Still though, don't poke Katie in the head. It's not nice." Angelinx scolded Ben. She put the controller down and wiped her hands on herself; they were sweaty from all the playing they did. "That was just what we needed to get our minds off of everything for a little while. What time is it?" Angelinx asked them.

Ben laughed and looked at the clock, "eleven fifteen." He said, "you guys are going to your study group soon right? On...um Lyoko?" He wondered  if he had said the right thing. He lounged on his bed and stared at the framing of the top bunk.

 

Katie took a breath, "you still want an explanation huh?"

 

Ben shrugged, "If you want to give me one than yes. On a scale from Flim Flam Brothers, to fleet of Daleks, how scary is all of this?"@,

Angelinx wondered who the Flim Flam brothers were but then remembered they were from a show the she watched before. Devilinx and Minx didn't like it. "I would say a pitch black cavern full of Weeping Angels. That's how scary it is for me. The others think it's all fun and games." Angelinx said, speaking for Devilinx, Hellinx and Minx as well. "Why am I in Ben's room?" Minx asked confusedly.

Ben blinked at her answer, "that does sound scary. huh, oh and you're here cuz Angelinx was completely beating Katie at video games.

 

"Quit being a nark Ben." Katie grumbled.

 

"I hardly think this is the time for insults. Especially after a loss, makes you loo like a poor sport." Ben smirked.

 

Katie just glared at him. "Good game Angelinx." She said hoping she heard. @,

"You're kidding. Right? Angelinx played a video game!?" Then Minx burst out laughing. She sat down on Ben's bed and bent over, laughing. "I can't believe Angelinx actually played a video game. She never plays gamers. All that she does is watch is My Little Pony or some other cartoon like that." Minx said flippantly.

"No kidding? Angelinx is a pegasister?" Ben said delighted, "I'll have to talk theories and headcannons with her then! But ya, she played, natural quidditch player, beat Katie who is a pro."

 

Katie smiled, "ya, she was pretty good, but I was going easy on her and Ben cheated anyway." She played it cool.

 

"Sure I cheated, but you were sooo not going easy." Ben taunted.

 

Katie sighed then said, "hey Minx, wanna play a round? We have a whole bunch of games." She opened the cabinet that the TV sat on and the games practically fell out whole mess of titles. "Take your pick." @,

Minx shrugged. "If that's what they're called then I guess she is." Minx said. She didn't really care either way about My Little Pony. Minx blinked as she saw practically Ben's entire game collection spill out on to the floor. "That is a lot of games. Don't know which one to pick though ...." Minx sat on the floor and sifted through the games. "If you have a third controller we could play three-way Halo." Minx mumbled.

Ben thought about it and ran over to his closest, pulling out a nearly empty suitcase, "hold on, I think I have...yes, here" he pulled out a third controller, "found it! Katie heads up." He tossed it and Katie caught it, unraveling the cord,

 

"Thank you Bennny boo" Katie grinned, talking in English by mistake. She plugged the controller in "let's do this." @,

Minx put the game in and sat in front of the TV with her controller. "What did you say? I couldn't understand you." Minx asked. She was confused by the way Katie spoke to Ben in a different language. "We've got about an hour at the most to play Halo so we'd better make the most of it." Minx said to Katie.

Katie blinked, "Couldn't, oh I said, let's do this." Katie took the controller in her hand. "I'm so gonna win this time." She said determined.

 

"No way Kates, this is my game. I always win." Ben grinned, sitting down next to Minx and getting ready to fight.

 

Katie giggled, "We'll see Benny boy."

Minx just smiled and watched the screen load up. Seeing that her controller was in first, she manipulated the joystick and button to get the options right. "Okay. I hope everyone's ready for some action." Minx said happily. She waited for the screen to load up and then the three kids started playing.
