Whisper turned as red as her hair and melted into his arms. She ignored the obnoxious wooping from the other people in the Weight Room and settled happily into kissing her boyfriend.

Genesis was out "shopping" to kill time before the party.

Rush continued to kiss her for a long time before eventually scooping her up in his arms and carrying her out the door. "Come on. We're going to find somewhere a little more quiet and a lot less smelly." As he walked outside, he kissed her again, before finally setting her down under a tree in a quiet part of the campus.

"I'm sorry....that was forward of me, the boy doess it first right?"she wrapped her arms around her knees and brought them to her chest. She was blazing red and her eyes were twinkling happily but she shivered with nervousness.

He sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, holding her close. "Didn't want to? Of course I want to. I've been waiting for something like that ever since we met. But I felt like maybe I should try to take it slow, and let you move at your own pace. I know you don't have a lot of experience with guys, so I don't want to scare you off. But I'm really glad you decided to make the first move. Trust me, you never have to worry about being too forward with me. I'm used to it being the other way around, but I like it when you take the initiative."

Shadow stood there as Ben walked away. He said to himself "There something strange about that kid Ben, he asks me a question and then walks away... but Katie reminds me of my step mum, always asking questions but i guess thats what i get for lying... oh well

 

Shadow looked around for a tree that he could climb and was able to lie on. Once he saw the right tree he climbed it till he got to the top and sat on one of the branches and looked into the distance.

 

"You know who i could be... Edward Kenway. I could travel the sea's with a pirate ship that i would build by myself and have a gang of my friends who i will call pirates and give them rum all the time and make them drunk and then push them off into the sea like nothing ever happened. I could do if pirates were not people with guns who kill people for no reason and i would need friends to start with... Oh well who needs friends, It's better if you talk to yourself because yourself always agrees with you... i think i'm going mad, I could have an evil laugh and try to take over the world with robots i will call robot masters or someone who uses creatures to fight and when i get beaten i will always say, Shadows blasting off again... yea, I think i will take a nap"

 

Shadow then had a nap on the tree branch

Katie was running about the halo world shooting people up. She loved this game, but she wasn't very good at it. She watched as her character died for maybe the third time. She sighed and waited for the round to be over sitting back and watching Ben and Minx play.@,

Whisper nodded and buried her face in his chest. She was still embarrassed but felt much better after knowing what she did was okay. "You need to take a shower, icky." she mumbled into his shirt.

Genesis got back to her room with a load of bags. She let out a sigh of relief-and a tinge of sadness- when she saw that her roommate was absent. After shoving all of them in her closet and emptying her pockets, she was left with one white bag. She looked from the bag to Minxs bed and walked over; slowly putting the paper bag on top of her bed. Genesis crossed her arms and glared down at the bag for a few seconds before making up her mind to leave. It was better if she wasn't there when her roommate got her present, it'd just be too awkward.

After dying in Halo for the fourth or so time, Minx began to step up her game. She used to play this with her younger brother before .... "Ben, you sure you know how to play this? You seem to be dying a lot more frequently now." Minx asked smugly as she kept killing Ben and getting closer to his score before the round was over.

Ben raised his eyebrow, "I only died once and it was because Katie bombed me. You've died 4 times, so I don't think you're one to talk."

 

Katie, being out of the game for the time being was sitting on Ben's bed putting an assortment of hair clips in his hair. She got bored with that and decided she would try to braid Minx's hair. @,

"I'm trying my best, haven't played it in a long time. That's all." Minx said. Her eyes darted across the screen as she tried to beat Ben. She felt Katie braid her hair and she smiled. "You've got the game Daniel. You can play it any time you want." Minx said to him. She didn't even realise she called Ben by her brother's name instead of his name.

Ben blinked at this, did she just call him...um, OK, whatever. "Well, you're pretty good, stop by anytime you want Minx, my games are your games. Now die," His character shot at hers, but missed. "Oops, never mind." He made his character run off, now that his position was compromised.

 

Katie continued to braid Minx's hair, "Wow, your hair is so easy to work with." She said, clipping together a braid "How do you get it like that?" @,

"You're not getting away." Minx grinned as she made her character run after Ben's. "Um, I don't know how it's so easy to work with, Maybe it's natural? I really don't know how it's so easy to work with. usually I just don't do anything with it." Minx answered Katie's question. She made her character fire at Ben's and the shot drained his shield but not his health. "Damn. Forgot about the shields." Minx muttered.

Rush laughed. "Well, you're the one who keeps sticking your face in my sweaty shirt. Not that I mind or anything. But-" He kissed her forehead, "If you insist, I guess I can go wash up. Then we can just hang out in my room until it's time for the party. Does that sound good?"

She giggled and got up, using her center of gravity to haul Rush up to his feet. "Eeyup, that sounds like a plan. Do you want me to wait in your room or...?" Whisper cocked her head to the side and looked up at him. The mention of the party reminded her how hungry she was and her tummy grumbled "Heh...I want that pizza so bad!"

 Rush shrugged. "That's what I was thinking, but you don't have to if you don't want to." He laughed at he growling stomach. "I can tell. I have plenty of food in my room. You can have a snack while you're waiting for me to shower. I don't want you starving or anything."

 "Haha Ben taunted, laughing slightly a his luck. He had forgotten about his shields too, but he wouldn't admit that. "Master strategy  beats brute force every time!"

 

"Ya right Ben, you didn't plan that." Katie giggled at Ben.

 

"Shut up Katie." He laughed back making his character find a new hiding spot. @,

"You are not getting away that easy Daniel." Min muttered as she ran after Ben and tried to kill him before his shield regenerated. She felt like she was back at home, playing with her brother but she knows that that isn't the case. Minx knows that she's at Kadic, playing with a couple of friends. She just feels like she's back home.

Ben's health was eating away as he tried to get to a high place where Minx wouldn't be able to shoot, he had to have the shield regenerate, it was life or death! For him in the game at least.

 

Katie finished her little hair do, it was a bit messily done as she had done it in the dark, but minx's hair now sat in two braided pigtails in place by colored clips. She smiled at her work and stretched out on the bed, waiting for the round to be over and pondering whether she would join the next round. She liked watching the two play the game.

"Mmm...you had me at snacks. Let's go." Whisper intertwined her fingers with Rushs' pulling him into a light stride towards his room. "I got scared you know, that's why I just...you know. Outta nowhere" she said to him shyly. "I mean I really wanted to...but I needed a burst of courage..."

Minx smiled when she saw Ben trying to climb up and out of the way of her shooting. Her character saw an opportunity to use a final Plasma grenade. "I hope that this works." minx said uneasily and her character chucked the grenade at Ben. She timed it just right and the grenade exploded as soon as it hit him, draining about half his health in one go. Minx felt her hair tied off and smiled. "Thanks Katie for the braids." She said to her.

"Know problem, it's a fun pass time." Katie grinned lounging on the bunk, "looks like you're loosing Ben dearest." Katie laughed a bit. "Finely, someone beats you. it had to happen sooner or later."

 

"Har har." Ben said attempting to shoot at Minx. But his defense proved to be bad strategy as he was now too high up to land a reliable hit.

Minx made her character look up at Ben's. "You're pretty high up, aren't you? Too bad you can't get a clear shot." Minx said. She aimed her gun and tried to shoot at Ben but figured out that it wasn't working. She looked around and found a purple flying machine. It's called a Banshee and she jumped into it. Flying up, she had gotten a much better view and then started to pelt Ben with heavy fire from the machine.

Rush nodded. "Well, I'm glad you did. Now I don't have to worry so much about moving too fast and scaring you off. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm going to start rushing you all of a sudden. I mean, eventually if and when the time comes when we... do that... it won't be until you're sure you're ready for it. But for now, I'm in a pretty good place with this." They arrived at his room, and he unlocked the door. "Um, snacks... check the cupboards, I guess. There should be some beef jerky, maybe a few protein bars... Okay, all of a sudden this is sounding kind of pathetic, but there really is plenty of food. I just don't know exactly what I have. Anyway, I'm going to take a quick shower, so make yourself at home." He gave her a quick peck on the cheek and headed off.

Ben let fire the second he saw Minx, he might have hit her, but it didn't matter as he was soon loaded up with bullets. His character died. Ben sighed, "Good game Minx." He said, but I can totally beat you this time! You and me let's go!"

 

Katie was hanging off the bed now watching with interest, "Great job Minx!" She said. Than she poked around Bens bed and produced her game boy that she had left in his room.  She didn't play it, but she kept it close by so she wouldn't forget it when she left. @,

Minx laughed cheerfully and sat against the wall with her knees up to her chest. "No, I think we've run out of time. Are we going to the study session now, Katie?" Minx asked her, unsure if Ben knew or not about the party. "For the record, I've been out of it for most of the morning so someone will have to fill me in on what I've missed out on."
