While I don't think this idea is good – in fact, it prevents dispute, which is essential to progress – I don't like where this is going. Just ignore the OP and let her do whatever she wants to do. You don't need to care about it. Passive-aggressiveness is just as bad, if not worse. At least Harmy is direct and to-the-point. You still have to realize that this IS the Internet and there is no need to care about anyone, OP included. I rather see the OP minimized than being the center of attention. Citing behavior abroad as a defense for casting insults, mockery, or browbeating others here doesn't hold any water. Although the OP's suggestion may not be feasible, the idea of this place maintaining as positive an atmosphere as possible is a worthwhile endeavor and one we would like to encourage. Any suggestions to that end are very much welcome. Disagreements are both natural and unavoidable, yet how people articulate their ideas is at least as important as the ideas themselves. Never is there any cause or excuse for callous dismissal or cruelty. It's within everyone's ability to exhibit courtesy and respect and it requires little effort. Criticism of ideas should also be constructive or it should be withheld. These standards are neither difficult nor unreasonable. It amounts to little more than the old adage of treating others the way you yourself would wish to be treated.
