Tulip shook her head, "nopeidy nope nope." She giggled. She looked up into the night sky before looking back down, whistling a bit.

"Is it the moooon" Cherry giggled at the foal.

"Close." Tulip said glancing back up at the sky then back again, a little grin on her face. "But nope, not the moon." @,

"Not the moon or train." Golden mumbled. She saw Tulip looking at the sky then back at them. "If it's not the moon then is it he stars? Or maybe the sun's reflection?" Golden asked. She hoped it was the stars and not something that's going to crash down on them. 'That;s way too pessimistic, even for you Goldie.' Golden thought to herself.

Tulip grinned and giggled, "yup it's the stars!" She giggled. "I guess that means it's your turn now, what do you spy with your two eyes?" Tulip asked.

The group were following the tracks now. There was a train stop about a mile down the hill, a station where the trains picked up cargo and passengers. It was small, but they could hop an express from there, maybe even go hobo style depending on the type of train that showed up first. @,

"Yay! I got it right!" Golden whinnied happily. She looked aroujd for a bit before seeing something worth asking about. "I spy, with my two big eyes, something frozen." Golden said happily, being very careful to not look at the object she was referring to. "Go on. Guess." Golden urged Tulip.

@,

She nodded to him, feeling more like she was a beast that needed to be punished in some way for her actions against the crimes she committed to another.

"I just got angry...but my magic sensed I was in danger, it just did what it felt it needed to do...my rage merely influenced how it wanted to proceed..." She sighed and stood up then, holding her head down as she walked a few steps ahead of him. "I guess we both have our regrets now...Only I know how I'm gong to remedy it now..." She nodded to herself, keeping her own secret that should any evil force come at her a second time...she would take the punishment blow for blow, even if it meant killing her.

Tempest sighed, and followed Lightning. "I know how you feel, and I know you can control your power, given enough time." He said. There is also a difference to a honorable battle, and a all out massacre. I know how it feels to kill, but sometimes one must do whatever is necessary in order to keep the peace."

The group wondered through the snow, not yet arriving at the station, it was weird how dark the night was, like Luna was afraid of something. Cherry found herself thinking that Tulip must have been very brave for going out this late at night.

"Hmmmmm," Tulip grinned, "Something frozen...Is it, the snow? Or our hooves? Maybe invisible ice cream?" @,

Golden smiled and chuckled. "No, no and possibly. Actually, I hadn't thought about our hooves, that was a good guess." Golden said, entertainig the little filly. She looked at the tracks then back to Tulip. Hoping she wouldn't get the hint. "How long till we get to the station?" Golden asked Cherry.

@,

She nodded to him and waited to see where he would go, not sure what to do herself at this point.

"Well...the Crystal Empire has fallen," she blurted the obvious, "King Sombra has won that to our dismay...Now its a question of what to do next...I mean..." she sighed again, "I can always hope my magic will react a second time the right way to prevent a war but..." She shook her head and stomped the floor, frustrated.

Cherry yawned, "It's about three quarters of a mile. We have quite a ways to go."

"So what kinda train are we going to go on? And where are we going? Are we going to Canterlot?" Tulip asked, picking up a trot through the snow.

"Um, we're going on the first train we can find, and we're going somewhere safe. I don't want to talk about the place here. I'll tell you on the train. Okay love?"

Tulip pouted, "imma big girl, I can handle it." She said.

Cherry gave a small smile. "By the way, Golden, I don't think we should draw any attention to ourselves, we shouldn't even let the ponies at the station see our faces. It will make us harder to track. What do you think?" @,

Golden nodded but then frowned. "I don't know any illusion-based spells so I don't know how we're going to do that." Her hooves had gone numb some time ago. Her ears flicked as she thought she heard something again. "What do I keep.hearing?" Golden muttered angrily.

Cherry thought about it, "Let's just keep the blankets over our heads. You would have to kill the spell when we get to the station, and no using magic if you can help it. If the other circle members questioned the station ponies, you'd be easy to identify by your magic aura. We'll just hide our faces and say that we're traveling nomads if they ask, cover story is this, we came to the empire to sight see but the place was overtook so we ran. Simple." She looked over at the crystal filly, "you hide your face too, they are looking for you now. K?"

Tulip took a breath,"This is really serious huh?"

Cherry nodded, "yes. Very. Just stay extremely close to us." @,

Golden sighed and nodded. "Fine." Golden said morosely. She looked at Tulip and smiled for a bit. "You still haven't answered my I Spy question. What do yoi think I'm seeing that's frozen?" Golden asked Tulip, trying to get her to stop thinking about what laid for them in the next few hours.

Tulip thought about this. "Is iiiiit...the air? The clouds? The ice on the tracks? Ooh ooh the juice boxes we brought! They're pretty cold by now right? What about..." It started to snow. Tiny snowflakes beginning to cover the hoofprints the group had left. Each flake melted as it got to the shield of heat. Turning to rain.

Cherry pulled the blanket tighter around her pink mane. "Well," she muttered, "It's not this snow."

Tulip giggled and turned to Golden, "Did I get it right?" She asked eyes shining. "If not, can you give me a hint?" @,

Golden laughed at that. "It's definitely not the snow. Tulip, one of the answers you said was rigjt. It was definitely the tracks. Well, the wooden planks anyway." Golden smiled and pulled her blanket tighter around her orange and lime mane. "Definitely not the snow. Anyway, it's now Cherry's turn. What have you got for us Cherry?" She looked at the station and found that they were about halfway there.

Cherry could see the distant lights of the station, it was more of a gas station where the train filled up its tank and picked up cargo. But it was still much more warm and inviting than the rain/snow. Cherry sighed and gave a small smile, "I spy with my little eyes...a substance invisible to the pony eye." She gave a small giggle. @,

Golden looked at the station and found it to be more of a fuel giver and picking up cargo station than a passenger one but it will do. "Hmm. Is it ... warmth? Air?" Golden threw a couple of guesses out there, thinking that one of them was right. "Tulip? What do you think Cherry sees?" Golden asked Tulip for an opinion.

"I think she see's um...I donno." Tulip said, "The air right?"

Cherry gave a smile, "Yup, you both guessed it, first try. It's the air." The rain/snow was falling in a blizzardly haze now. The only thing guiding the group now was the light from the station, half a mile away on the barren icy plain. And the only thing to see besides the light was a curtain of snow.

Golden peered throught the blizzard to see the light. "Come on, I know our hooves are numb but we need to quicken our pace if we're ever to get there before the next train." Golden told them. With that, she managed to make her hooves move faster than before. She even extended her flame shield to encompass the top of their legs to get the blood flowing.

Cherry Blossom picked up speed as well, allowing Tulip to piggy back on her back. Even though the rain was wet, it was still very warm whiten the shield. When the group finally made it to the station they were out of breath and soaked to the bone. Thankfully most of the bags were waterproof, excepting the backpack that had the majority of the items within wrapped in plastic wrap.

"Alight." Cherry breathed to Golden, "get ready, to go in. Flames, you lead the way. Stay hidden." @,

Golden shook herself and the blanket to get most of the moisture off before drying everyonw and everything with a heat spell. Stepping inside, she stopped casting the heat shield so that her magic aura wouldn't give them away.

"Right. Here goes nothing." Sticking her tongue out, she covered Tulip, who was still on her back, and Cherry with a blanket, making it look like sh had a bulging saddle bag on her back. Golden then levitated the soggy bag over to herself, dried it and placed it on her own back before placing the blanket over herself and the bag.

"I think we're ready now. Let's go in." Golden breated and calmly walked inside the station.

A bored pony was sitting behind the counter that looked over deliveries and extremely rarely, passengers.

"May I help you?" He asked boredly.

Tempest was slightly surprised by Lightning, but he quickly shook it off "I'm sorry to say that it's already become a war. The only thing is that only you, Sole, Thunder, and myself know about it. As for Sombra, he won't win. I'll make sure of that, even if it kills me." He said.

Celestia looked out on of the palace's windows, and noticed her sister approaching. "Is Tempest aware of our suspicions?" She asked.

Luna shook her head, but wasn't exactly smiling. "Thankfully, no. He's smart, though, and he will find out. I've also sent out a guard to fetch both Tempest and Lightning. They just arrived in the city."

Tia nodded, and sighed. "I hope it doesn't come to that." She said. "It's been to long since those times."

A night guard trotted towards Lightning and Tempest, and nodded to both of them. "The princesses have requested your appearence at the palace. Follow me." With that, the guard began to trot back to the castle.

Cherry nodded at the stallion, keeping the blanket over her head, "H-hi." She said, "It's really cold out there and we don't have anyplace to go. Could you tell us when the next train is coming? We don't care where to, we just need to get out of the blizzard."

Tulip tried not to move. She wasn't a dumb foal, she knew very well that this 'war' was dangerous and that her only chance at living through it may be these two mares. She just hoped that they knew what they were doing.

The pony sighed and looked at the timetable hidden from the grouo. "Says the next train is at midnight. Midnight Express. Goes to Teottingham, then Manehattan, then Ponyville. Skips Canterlot entirely." The pony told them.

Golden smiled. "Thanks for that. Do you mind if we hang out in here until it comes in?" Golden asked kindly. The stallion just nodded and gestured to a couple of boxes. They didn't have much in the way of comfort.

Cherry went and sat on the boxes, putting Tulip down away from the stallions view and handing her her plushies and a juice box before throwing the blanket over her.

Tulip took the hint and curled up to take a nap beneath the blanket, sipping on the juice box silently and listening intently to the adults.

Cherry gestured for Flames to sit next to her and she gave a soft smile and whispered, "Whaddaya say? Ride to end of the line? Ponyville is pretty close to our two sisters house." She stared at the other mare hoping she got what she meant. @,
