Flutter's lover <3 8,206 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 I'd like to see a notification option, that notifies you of someone quoting a post, in a thread that you already follow/are subscribed to. Right now the only quote notification you can get are for topics that you are NOT following/subscribed to. Basically, I'd like to see the option of getting a notification of someone quoting a post I made in a topic I follow. Right now we don't' have that option. All we have are the regular " X replied to This topic" notifications for followed topics. and even if someone does quote my post it just shows up in my notification feed as just another reply. I think this would be a cool feature. and when you click the notification, it takes you to the post that has our quoted post in. Just like how the brohoofed posts work. 5 Fluttershy's lover, she's my waifu. SCS 7,537 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 I definitely support your suggestion. Even when I'm following a topic I'd like to be specifically notified when someone quotes a post I made, so that I can make sure to acknowledge it and/or respond to it in some way.

Right now, there's no way of telling. or when you do go to the topic, even if your post is quoted, you might miss it due to it being a page or so ago. 2 Fluttershy's lover, she's my waifu. Shanks 10,816 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 (edited) This makes a lot of sense, on one other forum I am a member of there is an option to follow a thread without receiving e-mail notifications but still getting notifications via the top right corner of the screen whenever someone replies to it. That forum dosen't have anywhere near the amount of features this one has so I don't think it should be too difficult to implement this or something similar to it. Stellar Hunt 51 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 I agree. This forum needs more notification options. Yes, I am a new member here, but since I was part of 2 pony forums previously, I already took notice that this forum is lacking in looks and options. However don't get me wrong, I am sure the people here make up for it greatly
Zygen 6,066 May 13, 2014 Share May 13, 2014 I agree, I think this is a good suggestion. It came off as odd at first when I noticed that the notifications work in that manner. However, i have no idea how easy it would be for it to actually be implemented, I assume the reason it behaves in this way has something to do with the way notifications currently work, but I am not technically versed enough in the workings of the forums to provide a suitable answer.
