I shall assist you with the (humorous) data I have gathered from my observations

 

These "Anti-bronies" are merely a group of the species ​Ignoramus Annoyant, or as they are more commonly referred to as, Internet Trolls. To understand these you must first understand how each subspecies of Internet Troll works. 

 

Every subspecies of Internet Troll has the same goal in mind: to induce rage from one or more people. If they detect this rage they will stay and try to induce more rage. They do this by saying crude, mean, and rather hurtful things. Whether or not they actually mean this doesn't matter; just know that they cannot hurt you with their words and are no more dangerous than a fly buzzing in your ear. In order to get them leave the area one must follow one simple rule: let them be and pay them no mind. The mere act of acknowledging their existence actually works. Internet Trolls are one case where "Just ignore him and he'll go away" actually holds some meaning. 

 

The reason behind an Internet Troll's actions depends entirely on the subspecies. 

 

Athlete

This troll subspecies will only induce rage for recreation. They do it because they enjoy seeing the rage and nothing more. Sometimes Athletes will have competitions to see how much rage they can induce.

 

Fetishist

This subspecies is similar to the Athlete in that they enjoy the rage, but on a whole different level. These trolls actually gain sexual stimulation from producing rage.

 

Attention Whore

This subspecies either feels lonely, rejected, angry, and/or unloved and believes that the only way to remedy this is by inducing rage from others. This troll is the most dangerous as they will stay around for the longest.

 

Megalomaniac

This is a subspecies that is riddled with a god complex and believes that their opinions are the only ones that are aloud to be had. They will attempt to exterminate all conflicting opinions by producing rage.

Interesting post, Lightning Star, but I do question your point about words not causing harm. Some people, as far as I can tell, are legitimately harmed by words. They can have a lasting effect.

 

I mean, it's only so many times you can get called autistic before someone catches a feeling...

 

I personally don't mind it, I see people hating on each other for every little thing, but I do know that no matter how many times the old saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words may never hurt me" is said, they still do hurt some people.

 

Note that this post isn't against our ability to say whatever we won't, but is just pointing out a fact.

I can get a head start for you, here are some reasons why ppl hate bronies

 

 

 

1. r34/clop (r34 technically means r34 of EVERYTHING, which includes mlp, but as well as...well...EVERYTHING. Not valid.)

 

2. gay (not valid. One does not simply become gay by watching a cartoon show. Besides being gay isn't exactly that wrong anymore)

 

3. Shoving ponies into ppl's faces: This is actually one of the few reasons I find valid. Some of us do have that problem...

 

4. religion (not valid. Different religions, different view points, blasphemy? Eh.)

 

5. childish nonsense (Not valid. when FELLOW SUPPOSE TO BE MATURE ADULTS OUT THERE are misbehaving themselves like ***? Lawl.)

 

6. For girls only (Not valid. Girls are watching/playing suppose to be masculine stuff like Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Hotwheels, etc. That didn't bring nearly as much *** to them lol)

 

 

So currently I only find number 3 valid, one of the best ways to defeat an opponent is to learn from them. So let's say we stop shoving ponies into people's faces, at least not as much.

The purpose of this survey is to see why exactly does the brony fandom get the hate it does by the pseudo-fandom that can get just as rabid as we do, and to take an in-depth look at the mentality behind it.

 

Even though I'm no fan of the haters themselves, this survey will be unbiased and, best of all, completely anonymous. But while you're encouraged to respond with the complete honest truth about the questions given to you and not twist your own thoughts to try to make yourself seem more/less benevolent than you are, you are encouraged to have a level of decency and taste.

This is just my opinion and I'm probably wrong with the "Society" part but here goes nothing and I made this when I watched Good Mythical Morning with their video "Bronies: The Controversy" and I read all the comments with so many flame wars happening, it was just horrible

 

I think there are 3 reasons (probably 4-5 reasons, but that's just me) why most people hate Bronies:

1. Society

Society doesn't accept the fact that men are watching a "kids" show that was aimed for girls, so they think we are loners, gay, pedophiles or "people-who-have-no-lives-and-they-live-in-a-basement-with-their-mothers" cliche. Mostly it's the people who don't know the Bronies that much and they just go on with their "in-depth wisdom" criticism about us.

 

2. The Bronies

Now there are Bronies who give us a bad name:

A. The ones who act immature on the internet and don't solve things like gentlemen/gentlewomen and just go out "You're a bit*h about hating the show!" or "fa**ot!, my little pony is awesome! deal with it!" probably just go Leroy Jenkins on the haters.

B. The "bronies-that-do-things-society-doesn't-like" cliche (it all goes back to society doesn't it?) ex. cloppers, people who make porn about the show, having some fetish over the show.

C. The people who just annoy others into watching the show or use the show itself to troll/annoy them in any way.

I know that trolls are annoying and people who force or annoy you into liking something is just plain "COMBO ANNOYANCE", we sometimes feel that too, so we can understand that also. Most of you act maturely and just deal with it but it's also nerve-wrecking just being trolled over and over again and especially in something you hate.

 

And it all goes down to the last one (probably)

3. Opinions

Opinions are probably the core of almost every argument because most people don't like or don't agree on your/our opinion. If you're a clopper, they won't like what you do and they will just reject your opinion about it. Mostly this is also, AGAIN, Society, because they don't give a fu** about our/your opinions!

 

If MOST people would accept others opinions (I know some out there are okay with others opinions but not that many)

If SOME Bronies act maturely and not troll (I know there are Bronies who act maturely and don't troll out there so I give you a thumbs up)

AND IF SOCIETY WASN'T SUCH A MOTHER FU**ING PAIN IN THE BUTT AND JUST KNOW FACTS AND BE OKAY WITH PEOPLE'S OPINIONS, then this world would live in a most likely better place...

 

But since we are still at war with the haters and that they still hate us, what will we do? If they hate the show, they hate the show...

But seriously, I blame society.

(No offense to the cloppers, making them think that they're opinion is bad. If you're a clopper, it's okay, it's your life decision and it's your opinion.)

This comment just sums up probably some of the reasons why we Bronies are hated, and why we can't be at peace with the haters.
