"I-I'm Ariel..." she repeated to Riley, her voice marginally louder. Her ears were timidly folded against the sides of her head, and she kept her gaze on the ground; she was clearly still anxious, though she had a habit of avoiding too much eye contact anyway. She flicked her ears slightly in acknowledgement to Rising, but she really didn't know what else there was she could say. No matter if these other ponies seemed nice or not... she didn't do well with groups, period.

 

Then the older mare opened the door and greeted them. Ariel raised her gaze from the ground to look at the mare, and she slowly nodded her head as she answered, "Yes, ma'am... I, um, have my coupon here..." She again raised her coupon to show, which was still in her magical grasp.

Rising feel strange, when the mare opens the door finally. But he don't feel to much in danger.

 

"Yes."

 

He don't know, what to do next, when he see Ariel showing her coupon. Of course, the coupon, silly me.

 

"Here is the coupon I got. For free cupcakes. And this isn't ... a joke?"

"Ariel, huh? That's a nice name. You know, you sort of remind me of that character from that Walt Disneigh movie," commented Riley.

 

When the older mare greeted them, she opened the door to let them in.

 

Inside, she held out a plate of cupcakes. "One for each of you. Now eat up!" she said sweetly. Eat up indeed... she thought, as a grin spread on her face. Within thirty seconds of consumption, the cupcakes would make them all fall asleep, and then their bodies would begin shrinking...

 

"Thank you kindly, miss!" said Riley, taking a cupcake, and eating it, savouring its beauty. He then felt light-headed...

Rising follow inside the building. The mare show a plate with 6 cupcakes on it. They all look delicious. She smile to us and I take a blue one.

 

"Well, again, thank you for the free cupcake. It's really nice from you, Miss."

 

He look at the cupcake and then take a bite. He continue eating, until he finished it. Right then, he feel strange ... sleepy ...

Ariel blushed slightly at Riley's remark, taking it as a compliment. She wasn't used to any sort of compliments, so it was a rare treat - just like these free cupcakes they were about to enjoy. She was tempted by the sight of the cupcakes, and picked one with light pink frosting, taking it with her magic.

 

"Thank you very much, ma'am," she said, making certain that she expressed gratitude to the older mare for the cupcakes before she started eating the cupcake. The young mare relished the sweet taste, and it wasn't long before her cupcake was gone. But not long after, she too started feeling strange.

 

The coupon still in her magical grasp fluttered down to the ground as her concentration on even the simple task of levitation was broken. Her limbs started to feel heavy; she had to sit down after a moment. She closed her eyes only briefly, and the next thing she knew, sleep had overtaken her. She slumped down into a lying position on the floor, being one of the first to fall asleep due to the effects of the cupcake.

Star Ruby was pretty late, but it didn't matter. She had seen everyone take their cupcake but that didn't matter either. She hoped no one would care when she put down her coupon and took the cupcake earlier, but she didn't feel so good either. She eaten it in the back of the store and was still there rubbing her tummy. She was getting sleepy, but she couldn't go to sleep, she had to stay awake maybe this was some kind of taste test thing. She tried to stumble out there but she slipped when she was halfway there. She couldn't get up, but she had to but the sleepiness was overtaking her....

Gemini trotted inside, snapped from her daze. She pushed through the group and snatched a cupcake off of the plate. Stuffing if in her mouth greedily, Gemini nodded.

"Not half bad! I'm gonna hit the road now, thanks for the offer,"Gemini felt fatigue washing over her. Her legs gave out and she landed on the floor of the bakery with a dull thud.

Gloom kept quite most of the time when the other ponies started to show up. He thought about it when Ariel started to get a little antsy.But before he could the lady who ran the shop opened the door. He walked in and gave his coupon to the old mare and grabbed the a cupcake and took a bite. He liked the flavor. But there was something wrong about it. His eyes shot open, then he looked at the old mare with great anger. "You bi..." Before he could say the rest of his sentence he passed out.

Pretty soon, all of the customers were lying unconscious on the floor.

 

"Take them to the guest room," she told her henchponies, who each picked up an unconscious pony and carried them upstairs into the aforementioned guest bedroom, just in time for said unconscious ponies to begin shrinking. On top of that, their cutie marks began fading from their flanks.

 

"To be young again," said the mare slyly, rubbing her hooves together in anticipation.

Atlas walked up to the cupcakes. He gave them a quick sniff. Didn't seem bad. He scooped it up and took a big bite. "Tastes a bit weird but not bad... What's in this?" He began to feel light headed and fell over going unconscious before he hit the ground.

Joyfire slowly started to wake up from her unconsciousness. As her eyes opened, she noticed she wasn't in the same rome she was mere moments ago. Her body also felt... Different.

She felt somethings strange happened to her, so she quickly tried to stand on her hooves, so she could ready for the danger. She was angry that somepony toyed with her in such a way. Because her body proportions changed, she wasn't used to the movements that such a body would require, and her quick reaction caused her to fall on the floor. As she fell, the sound of a filly hitting the wooden floor caused enough noise to wake up all the other ponies.

Ariel was startled awake, letting out a gasp as her eyes snapped open. She quickly sat up, looking around with wide eyes. Her mane was now a scruffy, uneven mess, bangs falling over her left eye (just as it was when she was a filly), but she hardly noticed that. What she saw was that she was surrounded by several other fillies and colts. She was confused at first... which then turned to shock when she realized something: She was the same size as the other foals..

 

"Nonono... H-How did this happen?" she whimpered to herself. The last thing she remembered was eating a cupcake... The cupcakes! She should have known that free cupcakes were too good to be true!

 

Her breathing grew shallow and rapid as she struggled to draw air, feeling the onset of an anxiety attack as she sat there, tears welling in her eyes. All she could do otherwise was repeat to herself, "Oh no, oh no, oh no..." How was she going to get out of this situation?

"THOSE DAMN CUPCAKES!" Joyfire said angrily, stressing out every word more and more, screaming at the end of the sentence.

She felt blood running through her veins as her heart started rapidly pumping. Joyfire was furious.

"I can't BELIEVE I've been this dumb! I felt for some stupid CUP-CAKES?!" said Joyfire in a state of ecstasy.

She continued to breath heavily for a while. Then she sat on the floor, still a little clumsy from that transformation.

"Listen... Ariel, right? We have to do something about this! We have been tricked, no, not tricked, OUTSMARTED! We cannot just let this go! Think of the injustice that has been done to us! We have to wake everypony else, because we'll need to outnumber them here. What are you waiting for? A glass of lemonade? Start waking them up now!"

Gloom woke up to the sound of someone with a shrill voice yelling. "Would you please shut your damning gob?!" He yelled from his place on the floor. He really hated being woken up. As he sat up he rubbed his face with his hoof. For a some reason he didn't fel right. Like he was... lighter. He opens his eyes and looks at his small hooves. ".... Please let this be the hangover and not real."

Ariel looked at the other filly, her ears timidly flattening against the sides of her head. She shrank away slightly, a little frightened of Joyfire's anger; even as a fully grown mare, she would have been somewhat fearful, having always been sensitive, especially to others' anger. Even if not directed at her, she hated seeing the wrath of another pony...

 

She flinched nervously as the other pony merely addressed her. Already distraught from the situation of being turned into a filly, the other filly's fiery personality didn't quite help. In fact, the tears already in her eyes spilled over as she started whimpering, trying and failing to not break down.

Atlas woke up from his sleep.

Time for school already... Ugh...

"Five more minutes!" He shouted to his mom who was probably at his bedroom door.

Wait. What am I doing? I'm a full grown stallion!

He shot his eyes open just to see Ariel start to break down. Who's this filly? And why am I on the floor? She looks familiar...

He began to bring himself to his feet excepting to tower over her but once he was up he was just as tall as her.

"What?" He then noticed his voice was a lot higher pitched than it was. He stopped for a moment then looked himself over. His cutie mark was gone! His limp and scar was gone to but still...

"What happened!" he began to panic but stopped himself. Panicking would help nothing.

"Ariel. What's wrong? Calm down" He began to attempt to comfort Ariel both to distract himself from the fact he was younger and to keep her from panicking more. He placed his wing around her talking to her softly.

Star Ruby woke up. She was surrounded by other ponies but that didn't matter. She looked at herself immediately and saw that she was small and cutie markless.

"AH!" She screamed jolting up. She saw that some of the other ponies were awake and ran up to them screaming in there faces and waving her hooves in the air. "WE'RE ALL DOOMED!" She cried and immediately fell on the ground. "This a terrible mistake, it's only a nightmare, how are we going to turn back to normal?"

Ariel flinched, letting out another whimper when she first felt the colt's wing around her; she always was skittish about physical contact, filly or mare. After a few moments, she tried to take a few deep breaths to calm herself, but they hitched in her throat, instead turning into quiet sobs.

 

"W... What's wrong?" she echoed, struggling to get the words out. "W-We've been turned into... f-fillies and colts! Th-That's what's wrong!"

 

Then she watched as another woke, reacting quite badly to the situation. Being so sensitive to noise and especially yelling, Star Ruby's panicking didn't quite help Ariel cope with it any better. Ariel started shivering a little, feeling fresh tears welling up and spilling down her face as she cried softly.

Star Ruby turned around to see another pony start crying. She wanted to scream and panic some more but it probably wouldn't help. She walked over.

"I'm sorry." She said. "I'm sure it probably can't get worse so we'll be fine. So first step is to wake everypony else up!": She screamed and ran over into every other pony's face. "WAKEY WAKEY! RISE AND SHINE!" Then she ran back over to the crying pony. "Want to help?"

After a bit of going a little crazy in his head, Gloom gathered his thoughts and let out a breath. He didn't know what the hell was going on or why he was a kid again or why everyone was too. He looked around for his bags and found them next to him. "It must have fell of me when I... shrunk." He thought. He also had his knife with him which he was sure that it would come in handy. He digs around in his bag and takes out his flask and takes a good drink. "A little better. Anyone else want some?"

Loud noises wake Rising up. He yawns and looking around. Fillys everywhere.

 

"How long did I sleep?!"

 

He stand up and look to the fillys, that are already awake ... eye-matching. This can't be possible. I'm bigger then a filly ... wait. They look close to the other ponies, who got a coupon for free cupcakes ... cupcakes.

 

"Please tell me, we are not fillys ..."

Riley woke up and rubbed his eyes with his hooves. He saw a bunch of fillies and colts getting panicky. Funnily enough, they all bore more than a passing resemblance to the other customers. He looked down to see his flank was blank. No cutie mark. Confused, he got up, and realised everything was bigger. His vision wandered around the room until he saw in a conveniently-placed mirror what had become of him.

 

"Well, things are going to get interesting next time I visit Reece," he muttered.

Gemini's eyes fluttered open to the sight of the other ponies she'd entered the bakery with as foals. She remembered walking into the bakery, snatching a cupcake from the tray and blacking out... Wait, Blacking out!! Gemini shot up in fright. She was only half size she'd been before.

 

"No, no, no, this is bad," She checked her flank for a cutie mark. Gem's eyes went wide with horror.

"My cutie mark! Oh Celestia no!" She turned to the other ponies.

"How can guys just be standing there? We've gotta fix this!"

It was at that moment that Riley heard hoofsteps. Someone was coming upstairs. But was it the elderly mare or a henchpony? Oh, it didn't matter now. "Guys, someone's coming upstairs. I have no idea why the elderly mare did this to us, or what she's going to do next, but we need to escape!" He noticed a tall, wide window. He undid the locks and opened the window.

"Somepony give me a hoof with the mattress, we need to drop it out of the window. This may seem a little extreme, especially for you, Ariel, but... we're gonna jump!"

 

(Okay, I have to go now, I'll be back this afternoon, so make sure the story doesn't advance too far while I'm gone)

Joyfire was annoyed by other ponies panicking and not being efficient. She didn't understand how they didn't feel any need to do anything. She gladly accepted the flask from Gloomfury, and nervously sat down and immediately started to think of an escape plan.

 

Then she noticed Riley pointing to the window. She didn't even notice that window at first, because her state of infuriating ecstasy caused her focus to shrink.

"A mattress? Seriously?" said Joyfire as she galloped towards the window. She jumped out of the window, not letting any other thoughts cloud her decision.
