Fair enough... but how is Fluttershy above everypony when she's angry? We've never seen her do something crazy physically when she's angry. Earth ponies, from my observation, have a greater connection with the land than the other two races. They are the ones that allow society to run the way it does.

Maybe you have a point, but you're also putting her above a pony that has blown up a barn in a giant rainbow nuclear explosion and kicked trees into logs here and Applejack is apparently equal to Rainbow Dash despite that, so it's hard to actually quantify some of these feats.

It's not the weight that I'm counting, it's the drag. Balloons aren't meant for moving fast and would increase her strain by a lot.

Earth Ponies are still important. Heck, the Earth Pony Race actually has some of the best ponies in the show. (Octavia, Pinkie Pie, Maud Pie, and Applejack.)

 

They've been shown to be very strong, and they must have some sort of special ability that's unique to their race since Tirek was sucking the powers out of them.

Anyway, not really. I mean, none of his family trained, that was clear, but Chilled was weak as shit(Ginyu level maybe) while King Cold was still weaker than Freeza.

That's still the minority of beings in the universe. We're talking about every single being in the universe here. Yes, there are plenty of main characters stronger than Frieza's race, but in general they are in the top 1% of power in the universe.

Earth ponies are the only ones able to grow food from the ground and are better with animals. I've heard fluttershy was supposed to be an earth pony since she is good with animals and pinkie pie a Pegasus. I'm not sure if that's true though.
