It's my day off today so I decided to go down to Toys 'R' us to buy some FiM merch for my daughter. I was browsing when the assistant asked me out of the blue 'are you a brony?' I said yes, to which she launched into a rant about how we are corrupting the show! In the end I picked up the first thing I could see (a FiM jigsaw) made my excuses and hurriedly left the store! Should I take the jigsaw back and demand to see the manager?

I feel that you should report this to the manager, if you're up to returning to the store. It's completely uncalled for behavior, and her actions have made you feel distressed. That is 100% how not to treat a customer, especially without provocation on your part.
