At the sneeze, Seth stumbled back in surprise. He backed into the beaker lab setup, causing the vile of venue to fall from the burner. He reached down to grab it, but when his paw made contact, the glass shattered. His paw was ct in multiple areas, but it could have been worse. "Damn..." He muttered, looking around for a bandage for his wounds. When he looked to his paw to see the full extent of the damage, he saw that there was a black liquid mixed with the blood. "Oh shit..." The venue was getting into his bloodstream. Turning to Bliss, he gave a fake smile. "A beaker broke, no big deal, just keep quiet." He said, spying a first aid kit hanging on the wall. Going over, he got some disinfectants and wiped what was left of the venue and began to bandage up the cuts. 'Not good...'

"Hey, no harm no foul, right? Aheheh." Badaboom responded shyly to Atlas's apology. Needless to say there was indeed harm caused by the dagger through the chest, but it wasn't anything the vampiric mare hadn't suffered before. "Well, most those questions can be answered quite simply with one reply, but I'm sure it's the main thing your dreading at the moment." She cast her eyes to the snow his hooves had shuffled about.

 

Boom's eyes filled with sorrow. "Your gunna have to feed on some pony eventually. Usually one sacrifice is all that's needed to quell your urges for give or take a year. Once the deed is done, it shouldn't be much of a problem to control yourself." Looking back at him she couldn't help a frown. "As for hiding, same thing. You'd easily pass as your normal self once you feed. However if you want my personal recommendation in regards to your family. I'd say that the truth is a lot easier to deal with in that regard. The initial shock maybe great, but you leave out certain details, and I'm sure they'll love you the same." Tilting her head a little she tried to force a smile, though it was apparent she did so. "Anything else ya wanna know?"

"I suppose my family wouldn't freak out... Much... They'd get over it" He reverted his thoughts to the more dreaded answer. "Do I have to do it to another pony? Can't we just sneak into a hospital and take some plasma? If no then who do I feed on?! I don't want to turn another pony!" He didn't like how she said sacrifice. Her smile looked painfully forced. He could't tell weather it was out of annoyance or an attempt to get him lightened up. "I just... Just don't want to hurt innocent ponies... I don't want another pony to have to deal with being a vampire. That's all I ask. If I don't have to do that I'll never complain about this again" He once again got nervous. He felt sick tot he stomach just imaging himself sinking his teeth into another pony.

Badaboom let her feigned smile diminish, this ponies questions were longing for a way out, or some type of loop hole. "I wish it were so simple. I mean plasma from a hospital will lessen the urge, but not entirely, or for nearly as long. It's the life force of an individual that subsides the thirst entirely. Your Vampiric body demands rejuvenation, which can only be obtained by a living pony." She let out a sigh, wishing that there was an easier way to phrase the necessities of a Vampire.

 

Disappointed she shook her head knowing before hand that her next reply would be just as unwelcomed, if not even more so, but these were things Atlas would need to know and accept eventually. "If it's turning some pony that bothers you most. You don't have to infect your...target. *Sigh* Draining them without toxification yeilds the same outcome for you, but the prey won't wake afterwards." Boom had to stop herself a moment, these answers made her dwell on the fact, that as much as she tried to deny it. Maybe she was a monster.

 

Clearing her that and shaking her head again to disperse the thought Badaboom continued onto answering the pagasus's remaining question. "As for who...that's entirely up to you. However I think it'll be most accepting to you, if you went with my initial suggestion. Which would be noninnocent ponies, ones who've taken a life of crime, by choise. I know you don't want to hear any of these responses, but I hope they helped...even if just a little. Time also heals all wounds as well." BB added the last line if not just to attempt at leaving a silver lining, no matter how thin.

Atlas knew he'd have to take the answers she'd given him.

"Okay..." Her really didn't know if this talk had helped or not. "When we get to Canterlot I guess we'll corner some thug..." He'd get over it. He knew that. And that's what scared him. He would get over it. Now was not the time to think about that. He needed to come to terms and think of how he was going to tell his family about it... 

 

"Enough of this" He wanted to get away from this topic. "Do you need help with this? The faster we get to Canterlot the better" Ah, Canterlot. The city of pompous ponies, arrogance and wealth. "If it helps we won't have to stay in a hotel" He may be a vampire but he still had friends. He gave a smile. It was a slight one but it wasn't fake. He was happy that he wasn't alone with this at least. "Thanks... For giving me a chance here"

Badaboom could tell that the questions reached their conclusion, before Atlas stated he had enough, and moved on to offer to lend a hoof again. "Your welcome, if something else should cross yer mind jus let me know." She nodded. "I agree, better get a move on wit dis snow. Sure is a lot to clear. I'm pretty certain there's someone in here that'd know where to find a shovel." Boom added opening the door to where the earlier sneeze had sounded.

 

Knowing it'd been polite to knock first, Badaboom still didn't hesitate in flinging the door open mid question to whoever was inside. "Excuse me we're here to clear the run way you have any...shovels." Her eyes locked to those of Seth's. "Oh well lookie here!" Badaboom winnied her eyes falling on the covered Lightning Bliss for a moment then back to the wolf.

 

"So...I'm kinda at a loss here." Badaboom spoke slowly with a tinge of confusion. "You stocking us? Or is this just a pleasant coincidence? Either way doesn't really matter much. Happen to find any shovels about?" The vampiric mare questioned casually pressing further into the storage shed.

Seth had been trying to rest  near Bliss, letting his wounded paw heal. When the door opened, he growled in automatic response. "Call it a happy accident." He replied to the question regarding the likelihood of their meeting. He let up the growl, but stood his ground. "There are some shovels over to the side there. We wish not to harm you. Bliss is already weak and I rather not let blood fall just yet." He could feel his defense rise as the mare approached, but he also felt a pang of pure rage. He wanted to attack her, but he held back the desire easily.

"Yes. I don't want to be stuck here longer than we have to be" Boom opened he door reviling Seth and Lightning Bliss. He froze up his mouth slightly agape. 

 

Blood... Prey...

 

He snapped himself out of it. "Hello, S-Seth..." Both fear and hunger filled him. 

 

A monster...

 

"Is Lighting Bliss okay?" He spoke uneasily. His fear and worry was easily picked out in his voice.

 

Pounce...

 

He began to walk to grab the shovels. "I don't want to hurt you. We'll be out of your hair soon enough" He grabbed the shovels and brought them to Boom. 

"Let's just get out of here"

"Happy indeed. Oh, and don't worry yourself, no harm shall come to you either." Badaboom replied shortly heading over to where Seth had indicated to the shovels. Hearing Atlas from behind question the well being of Lightning Bliss on top of Seth's own response on her condition, Boom lifted a pair of the tools on to her back, reapproaching the wolf. She could also detect Atlas's anxieties rising. Tossing him one of the shovels, Boom nodded, but indicated with her hoof for him to head back outside. "Be there in a sec." She assured her Pegasus companion.

 

Badaboom's attention then fell onto the tattered black book near the sickly alicorn's hooves. "Figure out anything useful?" She proceeded to question Seth. "I don't believe you'll be needing my belonging for too much longer, hmm? If you'd be so kind." Boom tried to sound as casual as possible, which wasn't too terribly difficult considering she wasn't worked up at all.

Her coughing grew more violent now that they had been discovered by Boom and now an obvious 'hungry' Atlas. But when Boom directed her eyes at the book she was guarding, and in turn asking if she had 'learned' anything from it...her ears dropped like a floppy rabbits'

 

"Learned...? Anything...?" Her pupils shrunk in fear as the prophecy she remembered reflected back into her mind. The Vampire Princess... Royal Sacrifice...Blood Moon... She quickly gripped the precious book tightly and pushed it under her shivering chest. "NO!" She coughed out abruptly, "I read nothing in it! NOTHING!"

 

Needless to her will...the book seemed to respond not only to her presence...but to Boom as well... It began to glow an omnious red and shook under her hooves, as if it were trying to escape the alicorn's hooves. "What? Gah! *coughs harder, getting weak* Stay...still you...bad book!" She again violently sneezed, forcing her forward ontop of the book but at an angle, giving it enough movement to fling itself free. "NO! THE BOOK!" The vampire text quickly fluttered into the air, still glowing bright red and loyaly floated towards Boom, conviently opening the pages to the alicorn translated text for her to read. "It's just...*coughs coughs* it's just garabage text!" Bliss tried to cover, "that book is cursed...somepony maybe just...made stuff up in it! *Sneezes violently and shivers.*" Aburptly she tried to stand up, flexing her horn forward in attempt to teleport the book back to herself. "Come here...you stupid...book!" Her horn's magic lightly touched the book only for it to fling it back at her, violently tossing her back to the ground. "Gah..." she coughed and gagged violently. Not only was her magic rejected and now seemed depleted...but her illness felt worse then before.

Despite her order Atlas stayed at the door watching her take the book. He did nothing. Just watched. He was concerned for Lighting Bliss's health. That was severe hypothermia. If she didn't get to a doctor that could be fatal. But he couldn't do anything. He felt if he got any closer the monster inside him would take control. All he could do was watch her suffer. He could only look at her his eyes full of sorrow and regret. He turned and left the building without a word.

Badaboom could tell that Bliss was hiding something by the way she gripped the vampiric book close to her. Then in a display that Boom hadn't witnessed before, her book took on a literal glow of red before struggling free of Lightning Bliss's grip. Taking a place in front of Badaboom, opening to a page close to the part where her understanding had previously been limited, but now the shimmering crimson letters were clear.

 

Her eyes, though locked in a look of confusion and minor amazement, skimmed quickly over the literature. "Mmhmm, yeah...of course!" She pretended to be mystified in her tone, as Blissy attempted to belittle the text mentioning. To Boom's mild surprise she watched Lightning Bliss try to use her magic in the book itself, before the spell rebounded knocking the Alicorn back to the floor.

 

Badaboom held out a hoof as the glowing of the book deminished, slowly levitating it's way into her possetion. She giggled bit at Lightning Bliss before shaking her head. "Relax there, Blissy. Really don't think you should push yourself so hard." Badaboom turned her back to both Blissy and Seth, as Atlas left the shed. "Of course there's made up stuff. The book is made up of personal events, and legends." She informed heading back towards the door. "Thanks for the shovels, get some rest." Badaboom added stepping back out into the wintery blanket outside.

Bliss bit her lip as she watched the two vampires walk away from the shed... It felt like a pride of lions simply sparing a few antelope because they were already full, or they simply weren't interested in diseased prey. She pounded her hoof into the ground, in a metaphoric sense of calling herself stupid, before giving up the physical effort, laid back on her side and cried.

 

"They have the book..." she coughed at Seth, "they may think its legend but...it's not Seth...it's real...And if Boom finds this out...*coughs* oh Luna help us...I've failed Seth... I failed!"

Seth had held his ground, growling the entire time. When the ponies left, Seth Looked to Bliss. He knelled down and snuggled next to her. He needed to protect her, she needed to live. "Bliss, that is the least of our worries. You need to stay warm and we need to get you to a hospital. Now." He ordered, trying to pick her up. He knew there was a hospital just a dozen miles away. A small medical clinic for the airport and town. He needed to get her there.

She was too weak and scared to retaliate against Seth's orders... She nodded respectfully and wrapped herself once more under the blankets nd weakly crawled on to his back, wrapping her front hooves around him and snuggled into his fur. "You...*coughs* think...you can make it by foot?"

Seth didn't look to the alicorn as he slowly walked for the door. He could easily make it. It almost made him mad that she even questioned his ability. Oh well. "Easily." He said, bashing open the door with one paw before running onto the snow covered tarmac. The wolf glared at the vampires as he ran off towards the villages. They caused Bliss to become this ill... They would pay. 

 

But for now, he needed to get Bliss to the hospital. Judgment can come later. Dashing through the snow, Seth dug his claws in tight as he raced towards the smokestacks of the winter village. He had the energy to get Bliss there, it was time that deigned their success.

Badaboom jumped in quick defense as Seth charged from the door, not stopping even a moment, but still giving a disapproving eye. Once the Alicorn carrying canine had ran well enough from the pair of Vampires, Boom turned around and went the short distance to place her book just inside the building before turning around to smile at Atlas. "Good control, not greatgreat, as it was obvious your body wouldn't have minded the opportunity to pounce on the weakend Alicorn. You even went so far as to question her well being." The mare spoke to her Pegasus friend, in quick attempt to halt his attention from the running wolf.

 

Then without warning Badaboom rushed forward, levatating off the ground by a few feet. Scooping with her shovel at unreal speeds she zipped forward tossing the bundles she'd obtained to the side well out of the way of the runway. Being mostly powder it was easy enough to clear away, but after making it a couple tens of feet she stopped moving. Still floating she looked back to her handiwork, it was then that her wide smile vanished.

 

Boom had barely even put a mark in the snow needed to be cleared. "Shovel...yeah great idea, if you don't mind spending a week out here." She exaturated before touching ground. "It's not even worth it!" Boom called to Atlas approaching him, before he even had the chance to start shoveling himself. "We're gunna be needin' something better than these. Maybe a plow or something of the sort." Badaboom informed as she came to be in front of the Pegasus.

Bliss felt immedieatly silly asking such a redundant question as she felt the muscles undernearth the fur she clinged to, thrust with power as Seth kicked the door down, and raced into the snow and woods, heading to the nearest industrial area with a hospital. At this point she could only smile at her trusted loyal friend, and bury her head down to avoid getting blown too much by the cold winds as he leapt and bounded with ease. She nuzzled her nose between his shoulders, while pulling the tarp blanket over her more tightly as she braced for one of his giant gaits over a fallen tree. He truely was making good time.

 

Well he did just not too long ago, pull a sled with a team of diamond dogs when he first arrived at the cabin, she told herself as a reminder, but still...This speed he's showing...it almost seems, unnatural. Not wanting to judge his abilities anymore then she already had, she shrugged off the convern and merely braced for the bumpy ride, knowing it wouldn't last too long.

With his energy only rising, Seth continued on his run for the village. Bliss was going to make it. She had to. It wasn't just a hopeful thought, but a solid fact of his mind. As they reached a clearing, Seth gave a burst of speed, almost flying over the snow. He ha never gone this fast, and he loved it.

The time had lasped and she couldn't recall how long she slept despite the rough ride, being litterally a cowpony riding on a wolf's back, before she finally opened her eyes. The woods seemed to be dispersing, like one would expect they would when you began to approach an industrial area. Still clinging her hooves around his neck, muffling another rough, soggy cough from her lungs...

 

"Se-Seth? Where are we...?" She whimpered as she braced for another one of his giant gaits..

Tilting her head questionably to the Pegasus before her, Boom decided to not wait for a suggestion that Atlas may have had. Trotting back to grab her book, followed by the short distance to Building C, Badaboom went inside. Only for a moment though as to return her book to its rightful place, and also to grab her signature BoomBox.

 

Stepping back outside she placed it in the middle of the runway, just outside the building, the speakers facing the long snow covered track. Waving her hoof to the side, as to give warning to Atlas she smiled deviously. It was a long shot, what she had planned, however given how fresh the powder itself was, Badaboom doubted that even it could hold up.

 

Flipping the switch on top of the music player on Boom cranked it up. The wubs of her bass became visable as they pushed the snow up into the air, and out of the way. Laughing in disbelief that her second plan was working she looked over to Atlas with a wider grin. The sheer volume was immense, no doubt that even Seth and Blissy would be able to hear it, and most definitely Sidewinder and his mare machanic friend. "Not even all the way up!" She shouted to the Pegasus on the sidelines, not sure if her voice was able to carry over her music.

Atlas caught himself smiling as the pony blew the snow clean off the runway with a Boombox. He wiped it off his face as other thoughts filled his head again. 

You're still a monster...

Shut up! I can still be happy. I can still be me.

Atlas put a small smile on his face. 

"What?!" He shouted at Boom as she yelled something. The noise was deafening. But it worked. Atlas flew to her even feeling the wubs affect his flying. 

"I think it worked!" He shouted to her once standing right next to her. He wasn't going to question physic deifying wubs. Just let it be.

(OOC Moving this along Arkman, hope you don't mind if i take liberty that we find a small mountain village with a hospital!)

 

The sun was fading fast as the trees cleared way thanks to the wolf's quick pacing. As Luna's stars began to emerge, so did the blinking heavy eyes of Blissy startle as she felt the warmth and grace of Seth's muscles, tighten less from his galloping, and slow into a hasty trot. She could see faded images of mountain styled cabins, along with a few litted lamps as the sunset came down further and further. In the distance as Seth carried her, she could then see an omnious white building with a pink cross on it, that stated "Mountain Resorts Emergency Station".

 

The sight seemed all blurry to her, just as the ponies that quickly surrounded them. She could make out muffled words of "hurry" to, "bed fast" while feeling gentle hooves and Seth's paws, escorting her down to a gurdy, secured down, and covered in warm fleece like blankets. "Nightfall..." she whispered as she felt herself being lifted off away from her friend and rescuer Seth, "vampires...they will...be coming..." At that, she felt a slight pinch of a needle being injected into her left arm, followed by sounds of machinery. There were some quick words stated about a fever and phenmonia, but the rest was blurred out. The injection was a small sedative to keep her from her 'hallucinations' as well as to help her rest.

 

"There," the head nurse, a earth gray pony with light magenta mane and tail stated just as she tucked the Princess into her bed, "that should help her to be more comfortable. I have to say sir, Diplmoat Seth is it?" She asked before continuing to the wolf who saved their patient, "If it weren't for your quick paws, you may have lost her. Her fever is serverely high...but we've got ice on her now and antibiotics are being injected as we speak. She should feel better by the end of tomrrow night if we're lucky. Don't worry," the mare placed a confident hoof on his concerned shoulder, "she's in good hooves here."

Shaking her head in response to Atlas's initial inquiry in regards to her most previous statement, seeing it as unimportant, though humorous. Badaboom held her smile though noticed it did take the Pegasus a couple tries to keep his. "Indeed it did, my friend! Most likely we'll be on our way to Canterlot by morning!" She shouted, even though Atlas was now right next to her, it had to be done to be heard.

 

Badaboom's eyes involuntarily flashed red, but only a moment as another's hoof struck her BoomBox. Quickly pulling the silenced music player close she looked Breezy in the eyes. "Hey, hey, hey! No touching!" She whinnied in retort. But she was quickly calmed by the confused expression and matching question from the mare.

 

"Heheh, all set an' clear. Record time probably too, eh?" Badaboom smirked happily leaning against her BoomBox. She waited for a reply but waved to Sidewinder while doing so, before returnig attention to the mechanic. "Just gotta let Jenny warm up now, right?" Boom added.
