I do not have a southern accent, but I can do one pretty well with being around a southern girl around school a lot. I hope when I get around to it, I won't disappoint.

This seems interesting, and I'd love to give it a shot. I'm off to bed right now so I'll come by tomorrow and maybe upload some of my voice.

I'm not a native English speaker though, so I will have somewhat of an accent.

 

I can either focus on speaking pure English, which should sound convincing.

Or I can force myself to speak a heavy Norwegian accent, which might fit for some characters.

Try out for Cloud Watcher and Admiral Bridge Burner, they're the two guys who can sound accented

 

For the Admiral though: he isn't tough and gruff. He's pretty average sized for a pony. But he gains his bada$$ery through having an aura of confidence and leadership.

My voice can range from a gravelly, daemonic voice to high, child-like and even baby voices. My actual voice is mid-range, but I can change it (and often do), I can also do accents:

Scottish

English

Irish

Australian

Midwestern (American)

Southern (American)

Minnesotan (American)

Russian

And Indian.

 

I can also do a ditzy American teenage girl accent. (Like, totally think, like, Clueless…)

When I get home, I can record a sample if it would help. Then from that , you can let me know which characters I should try out for, and which pages to audition from.

Try using the mobile app. For an audition, it'll work. And it's easier than the site itself. Just download the SoundCloud app, and click the record button. Record directly onto SoundCloud. It'll let you play it back and erase it until you have a version you really like. Then you simply hit save and upload it.

Yeah I guess I didn't quite fit Cloud, didn't feel like it either  

 

I read through the pages you said twice, I'm still a little unsure about the accent. It might just sound weird since it's my voice and all, maybe it sounds more "exotic" for other people.

Also, I might pull off more emotion if I recorded in different circumstances. But how do you think about these? Too dramatic? Too fast? Lighter voice, deeper voice, less accent? 

And I'm basically recording my natural voice, I could maybe do it in "cartoon" voice, like they do in MLP. 

 

It felt easier the second run through, so I guess it becomes better the more natural I can deliver the lines.

Okay, so here's a SoundCloud clip of my voices and accents. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything to read from, so I just went casually between accents just to give you a feel for them. I'd be able to do better with something to read from, but, sadly, the closest things I have on hand to read are G&A mags and my poetry. And a script I can't read out because of spoilers. Soooo… yeah. Sorry if it's just rambles. Just something to show my range.

I just don't think it would be able to work considering the only time I have access to good internet is after midnight, I wouldn't be able to upload my recording right away, and in the long term of doing the recording for the whole thing, my recordings would have to work around my internet, which is more like shiternet, if you catch my drift, and I would not want to burden the whole production with that.
