Is Braeburn the founder of Appleloosa?

Do you think he is? He seems to be a prominent figure in Appleloosa, as well as seemingly being their resident welcoming committee. In addition, look how Celestia dang PROUD he seems to be of the place! not to mention the town name DOES have the word "apple" in it, as well as having an apple orchard. (in honor of the family business perhaps?)

Probably part of the founding family, but I wouldn't call him a founder, less the town be extremely young. I think he's just taken upon himself to be something of the heart of the town's community, or to make it the best for as many ponies as possible. I mean, look at Pinkie, she's the town's welcoming committee for ponyville, and knows/befriends everyone (and relatedly became one of the most prominent figures, probably moreso than the mayor to some), but she's just a resident.

As @SFyr said, he was part of the group who founded it. He's the one that knows everything about the city, which he probably got from his parents, when they found the city when Braeburn was just a little colt.

When Braeburn was just a little colt? In Over a Barrel, Braeburn outright SAID the town was just about a year old.

I'd have to say he's far from the founder. If he was, he'd be the sheriff or some or capacity of that nature - a leader of sorts, and he wasn't. At most, he'd have a role on the city council, but no, he's not the founder himself. There's no way he'd lower himself to playing the role of the welcoming committee when he can have a role of power, which, he'd essentially need to have if he were to be the one to create Appaloosa. That'd be like Feld0 making MLPF and just being a regular member :D

I can agree with him being part of the founding family, though - maybe not even a direct descendant from the founder, but related in a distant way :D

In that case, he could have been part of the founders. Though, I think at the very least, it would be a group that founded the town, rather than an individual.

So, perhaps so?

@ghostfacekiller39 If he were a DESCENDANT of the founder, that would imply that Appleloosa is an older town. But that's not the case as, again, Braeburn stated they had built the town in the past year.

Maybe because the Apple family is known to settle wild parts of the country, it's possible that one of the members like Braeburn founded Appleloosa, since much of the economy is based on the Apple Trees grown there. You'd have to take that into consideration.
