Top right: looks like CPU + GPU + heatsink

Top left: RAM, maybe? That looks kinda like memory, although I would think Apple uses DIMMs like most PCs do.

Bottom left: Hard disk?

Bottom center: Battery? Batteries? No idea.

all of the bottom is the battery

the whole logic board is on the top ( yes its smaller than the battery )

top left you will see the tiny ssd (holds 250 gb )

top center right you can see the two heat sinks one for gpu and one for cpu

as for ram its on the logic board you can't remove or replace it.

This was a pain in the rear to fix but its fine now

I thought it was funny that it has Toshiba parts in there. Everyone knocks Toshiba for making low quality machines yet everyone tends to think that Apple products are the cream of the crop...yet they use Toshiba parts! That's like the iPod Classic uses a hard drive made by (you guessed it) Toshiba. lol I don't like the Mac OS so I stay away from them. But as a hardware guy, I love seeing the insides of these things. Neat post :D

Toshiba is one of the largest memory manufacturers in the world. They sell primarily to OEM and thus do not have a large consumer facing presence like Samsung. Their drives are still very high quality and they are the only reason why the OCZ name still exists.

As a result, OCZ is making reliable SSDs for the first time. Unprecedented.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio and it's still running strong after five years.

I understand the point of extra light laptops, but I've always preferred to have a heavier, more powerful laptop. I use mine as a portable desktop with only one cord, and as such, it's a gaming powerhouse that weighs in at ~9 lbs. :P

My 18" laptop, even with Beats audio, only weighs about 4-5 pounds. Who knows? :\

Wow I really want a beats laptop.

I hope they have a sale for that on black friday.
