Hmm, a rather interesting take on Josh Haber's writing. His twitter feed does support your assertion that he likes to poke fun of tropes rather then be a 'by the book' writer. A good and funny parody at the end as well Lizard.

Aw yes the ending was pretty funny and I do have to agree that castle mane-ia is a fun episode.

While it is not my favorite episode it was enjoyable especially for the great character interactions between Rainbow and Applejack.

And it is the only episode of Josh Haber's that I wasn't bored watching.  It says something that Simple Ways and Leap of Faith leave soo little impact on me I sometimes forget which episode title goes with what episode.

But all and all a pretty nice review.
