Flurry Heart got so many people worrying about the show at the beginning, including me, but when the episode actually came out, I didn't pay much attention to her since the focus was on Starlight, Sunburst, and Spike to a lesser extent. The fact that I didn't worry about where the show was going when I saw the episode makes her all right by me.

I could see Flurry Heart doing a spot in an episode here or there down the road, but I couldn't imagine her as a main character, though. This is where the concern of stealing the spotlight and/or being unnecessary baggage comes in, typical especially of baby characters. On the other hand, Flurry Heart is an example of how using a character as a plot device can work well. The main reason it works out is because no character development was sacrificed for it, unlike with Spike. As long as integrity and balance is maintained, there's really no issue with it.

Anyway, the episode itself was really good and i had little to complain about, except for maybe the ways of the Mane 6 how to capture Flurry Heart, just so the comedy can go on. (A net? Really Rarity? O_o)

Flurry Heart in itself, dosen't really bother me, nor do i care really about her. She is tolerable and if she is in another episode, it's fine by me.

Also, if we want to make outrageous headcanon (which i normally don't do,) how about this. Maybe Flurry Heart is actually Starlight Glimmer and the other Starlight Glimmer is the Flurry Heart of the Future, to prevent from Ponykind from being destroyed, from a giant computer named Ponynet. Dosen't that sound awesome?

Nailed it! In fact her actions facilitate character development, so as long as she keeps getting written into good roles she should be just fine!

Yeah this was pretty LAME and oh my god Rarity's character is pretty much ruined now!!! SO UNCHARACTERISTIC!!!!!! But yeah, obligatory baby catching scene was unnecessary. Aside from that, Flurry Heart was booked about as well as you could book such an unwanted character. WWE ought to take notes for:
