Depression and Coping

Vainamoinen

843 views

I have confession to make.......... when I get really depressed, I hurt myself....

I will sometimes lock myself up in my room and just..... mess legs up..... with blade.....

even though I've had good times recently, it always comes back... feeling of worthlessness..... I feel like I have no place.........

why does this happen so much?

hmm.. perhaps the chaps over at Life Advice could help, it is a more fitting place for these kinds of things. i too will pitch a few words although ill take the opportunity to warn you that i speak in a manner that is more.. honest.. i don't tend to sugar coat because i'm just really bad at doing so, if you can handle
"brutal honesty" id like to know, if not, also.

Think of it like someone using alcohol to deal with self-esteem issues. It doesn't solve the root of the problems, it just helps cover it up. You should try and deal with those problems in a more constructive manner. Also reading reduces depression and anxiety, so I suggest doing that. Alot of stress can happen from poor sleep, or social situations, diet even. Solve those then you will feel better.

But also, that voice in your head, that devil on your shoulder, say no to it, and try to get the shoulder angel to speak up for a solution if you know what I mean. Moping around doing little all day perpetuates the pain because its like being in solitary confinement with nothing to pass the time. So you just need to learn to pass the time in a healthier fashion, potentially. Also personally, binge watching anime while laying in bed caused depression more, probably due to inactivity. That same inactivity laying about in bed can mess up your metabolism so you don't feel tired when you go to bed because your muscles were not used that day, then the muscles get weaker and give poor posture.

You can msg me if you like - but I don't recommend that you do. (Due to the fact I use aggressive techniques.) There's lots you can do otherwise, my friend. =}
