Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  The phrase "hot water heater".  I hear that a lot.  Drives me nuts.  So... it heats hot water?  Is that what it does?  Really?  I got news for you, bub: if the water is hot... THEN IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE HEATED!!  :P

Should be called cold and warm water heater. :P

There's also a special name for people who say "hot water heater". And it ain't not no fun word.

(Maybe redundces.)

Or a toasted bread toaster, ice cube freezer.

I remember Ben Jabituya in Short Circuit using linguistic redundancies like that. Like "driving car". (Well, ice cube freezer isn't really a redundancy, though. It could only be surpassed by ice cube maker, but freezer is still legit.)

Yeah most people just say "water heater" these days.

In future days they might say "cannot afford that".

Episode 2 of The A Team, Hannibal calls it a hot water heater.

Wow! Digging up a pinkpointed instance in 80s TV! Nice followup to my movie one.

If every person on Earth remembers one such thing, the collective consciousness is totally gonna have everything covered.
